I sent my MacBook Pro to Data Clinic after researching all my options when my computer crashed and could not be restarted. I had never backed up and was desperate for the data to be recovered. Data Clinic did not commit me to any expenditure without first seeking my approval to proceed and always discussed each step and the prospects of recovery. The process was not simple but I was very impressed with the personal service and my data was fully recovered, all filed in correct folders and was easy to download onto my new devices. As far as the final cost is concerned, had I been given a quotation for the same sum in the first place, I would have accepted it without hesitation. Data Clinic saved me from a horrible situation that was all my own fault and I can't thank them enough.

I decided to go with Data Clinic to recover data on my external HDD, having phoned a few data recovery service providers, mainly as they were the most friendly.
99.99% of my data was recovered so I am very happy with the service provided, it's exactly as they have laid it out on their website. Eg I was sent a directory list of all files that had been recovered before agreeing to pay for the service.
I received the damaged HDD and recovery one the next working day after payment, and I was happy with how it was shipped, see photos.
Only complaint I have is that I wasn't made aware the London office is a virtual one, so when I dropped my HDDs off, I didn't package them up. I would suggest this is made clear, so that anyone dropping devices off themselves know to package. Because of this my laptop bag has been lost somewhere.
But overall very happy and I would recommend.

Great service from Data Clinic. Dropped my external hard drive which caused hard drive stiction. They were able to recover most of my data and transfer it on to another hard drive for a decent price that was cheaper than other places. Steven was also very helpful and answered all my many questions.

I was in a panic about losing thousands of files on my hard drive but after speaking to Stephen & Chris at Data Clinic I felt very reassured that they would be able to help.
I ended up not needing to use their services as I managed to sort it myself last minute (it was a problem with my lead, not my hard drive), but Chris had swiftly arranged a collection for me that evening for the next day, and after cancelling with him last minute he was super understanding and happy for me that I'd sorted it.
They were totally professional and I'm very glad to know of their services for future reference if I have any further problems with my hard drive, because after phoning a few companies for quotes, I wouldn't hesitate to go to these guys again.

I dropped my HDD with 14 years worth of photos and videos and was in panic as they were not backed up anywhere else. I called a few companies to get a quote and find out about chances to get my files back. Data Clinic were the last company I called as they were professional from the start, transparent and upfront about costs and chances of getting my data back.
I was in direct contact with Chris who was answering my questions and concerns straight away and in a professional manner. My new HDD with data came back today and I was extremely happy to discover that 93% of data was recovered in full.
If you need to recover data that is invaluable, go to a professional data recovery company straight away. Data Clinic impressed me from the first enquiry call up to getting my data back. I would recommend Data Clinic to anyone.

Had problems with a fairly new WD Passport ext HD, some important data, so found these guys online, and they did a great job - got most of my data back, and luckily all the important stuff. They pick your HD up with a courier, and give you a free diagnosis. Good comms. Recommended.

We are not a local business but saw the reviews on Raid Drive help. Ours was not too serious, but rather than lose everything I gave them a call. To be fair I cannot fault them, everything was return to use all working with nothing lost. You cannot do much better or expect more. Thanks guys.

Had a terrible experience with data clinic. They sent a courier to pick up my Drobo storage unit, and when it arrived at their facility they called me to say the unit had been damaged in transit, and the wanted £200 just to diagnose it, when the diagnosis was meant to be free. I could have packaged it better yes, but frankly it looked like it was dried down stairs, and no amount of packaging would have helped it. They won't take any responsibility, and say it's my fault, when their courier clearly damaged it. Terrible service, avoid them.

Website states 24/7 help line - called up for what I personally consider an emergency (Results for final year university dissertation lost) expecting professional help but got some old geezer complaining that I woke him up, telling me I have 'no pennies to rub together'.
Can't say much about their data recovery services but their customer service is terrible.

My mobile was stuck in a boot loop and I needed all data recovered. I had read good reviews on Data Clinic so decided to go with them, spoke to a couple of reps and decided to send my phone in to be looked at. I paid £114 for my phone to be looked at and analysed, and was told that after fixing the issue I would be charged for repair. I had to contact them by email and phone them days later just to get some sort of update as I had not heard anything for a handful of days. Unfortunately they were unable to solve the issue and emailed me to inform me and tell me they could dispose of my mobile for me. I said I would like to send my phone to another company to try to recover the data and would like my phone sent back to me, which it was. Everything seemed fine but when I received my phone, took it out of the box and turned it on, the factory reset had been done and all of my data had been wiped. So I had in effect paid £114 for all of my data to be wiped, and when I contacted Data Clinic asking for a partial refund, they stated that the factory reset was not done by them and they didn't know when this factory reset could have taken place and no compensation was even mentioned. Extremely disappointing service, I could understand that the phone was not repaired, but to have also lost all of my data, that included videos of my sister that had passed away, was unacceptable. Data Clinic is capable of completing some jobs, but I cannot stress strongly enough that if you have vital data you cannot afford to lose, think carefully about using Data Clinic.

Faced with the loss of some highly valuable data, I called Data Clinic recently for advice. They were professional, helpful and generous with their time. In the event, my worst fears weren't realised and i didn't need to use their services. I called them to let them know, and they were happy for me. If I'm ever faced with a similar situation again, they'll be my first port of call.

I haven't actually used this company yet. They sound great from other people's reviews and certainly look professional. But my review is on the basis of the extremely rude and grumpy customer service person manning the after hours help line tonight. This is the first review I've ever posted either positive or negative on any company or service.
I rang the helpline tonight and after asking what I thought we're quite reasonable questions. Examples such as 1) what is the worst case cost 2) would there be any chance of it being done in 48 hrs and finally 3) in his experience what is the approx. % of hard drives from which the data is suçcessfully retrieved. Out of nowhere when I asked the last question he flew off the handle at me and said 'frankly these questions are disrespectful to ask of this company on an after hours helpline' and went off on a rant about how professional they were, how they help the police retrieve data etc etc. I explained to him I only asked the last question to get some sort of hope as we had lost all of our photos etc and he continued to tell me off.
I will almost probably still use this company on the knowledge that this guy is probably better in the lab with a screwdriver than when faced with a reasonable customer on the phone but I hope this feedback somehow makes its way to him or his employer as his attitude could well put other people off. And no I wasn't rude back to him, I had a long day at work it was 10pm and I don't have the energy to waste my time arguing with a grumpy old bloke.
I'm sure there actual service will be a much better reflection on the company than this rude man. Hopefully anyway!

Seriously great door-to-door service. Was very worried about sending my failed HDDs off and spent ages looking around for the right company to approach. Data Clinic were so helpful, answering my questions over email and not pressuring me into starting the transaction. HDDs were soon returned, along with the recovered data on a new external drive.

Great service, cost more than another company but data clinic managed to get the files off the drive even though i was told by Leeds data recovery that the files were damaged and unrecoverable, wasted £300 with Leeds data recovery which took money up front and sent the driver back with screw hanging out. Thank god for data clinic.....don't trust any other company with your hardware...

Data Clinic is simply FANTASTIC! After losing 1000s of photos, including my children's baby photos on my external hard drive - I sent the disk to another reputable data recovery company who had it for 6 months without any joy! Eventually, they said there was nothing that could be done! I was devastated - thats when I found Data Clinic - who said that they could recover data where other companies had failed. How right were they, after 2 short weeks I was informed my hard drive was 98% recoverable!! I now have my hard drive back and could not be happier! My only regret is that I didn't find Data Clinic first! THANK YOU Data Clinic - I HIGHLY recommend you.
