Having used Boots in the past, I endeavoured to phone for an optician appointment, no answer on several occasions. Went online, first appointment was months away (well after the date for all Covid restrictions to be lifted). This company obviously does not want my business, so I will go elsewhere.

Been trying for 2 days to make an appointment, but nobody answers the phone. Pity. I shall have to go elsewhere to someone that needs customers more than Boots does.

The optician was very nice and helpful, how ever I feel sorry for the guys who have to clean all the frames before they can give them to you.

I arrived at the appointment only to be told that the optometrist was at a doctors appointment and I would not be able to be seen. When I asked if they could fit me in later, I was told (quite rudely) that I would have to rebook online. When I went to book online the first appointment I could get was two months later. Very bad communication and customer service.

Always had helpful and friendly service whenever I have been there. Used them 4 times over the past 3 years.

I came a few days ago to have my eyes checked (Guildford store), so I saw the optician, who is supposed to be the one redirecting people to Doctors if necessary, During the eye test we realised that I cannot see from one eye. I was very surprised as I never had eye issue. His advice: "Come back in 6 months, and let's see if it goes worst!" This is unacceptable, as I had to insist that he refers me to a doctor. The day after I went to my GP, and they sent me directly to the hospital, and it seems that I have an dangerous inflammation in the eye (uveitis) I wanted to let them know that I actually got something bad in my eye, and nicely, with a smile, they did not care at all, and gave me an address to complain to the store manager! I would never go back there as you imagine PS: Last year I went to specsavers and that was far better!
