Our daughter has been going to this school since she was 2 1/2 and she is now 4. We have been happy with the school. I know she’s safe when I drop her off there. Everyday she comes home happy and that makes us happy. When the school was closed due to COVID our daughter asked us constantly when she could go back. She’s excited to share with us when we pick her up what she has learned or what happened that day. When she learned to write her name on her own(our last name isn’t an easy one) she was so proud. Her sentences improved within a few weeks of being there along with her socializing skills. We love her teachers and the turn around at the school is minimal which is important. We are happy with our choice to send our daughter here. As a side note: My sister who sent her three kids here, which the oldest is now 16 all had the same two teachers that my daughter has now. My sister never had an issue with any of her kids there either. That says something.

Sometimes reviews do not fit the profile, or they represent misplaced anger. The first review seems to be the latter. There is a basement, but it is one of several classrooms. Toys and rooms are cleaned regularly, so it is not clear where the animosity comes from. My children have attended since 2010. It is a caring facility, but yes in a private home. My daughter is well prepared for Kindergarten - which is not true of all places (especially where we lived in NC, there was no teaching there). My kids miss "school" when they are at home. It is a testament to the teachers, structure and fun (arts, play, exploration). And the owners have been nothing but supportive to my family.

The cleanliness is questionable, EXTREMELY questionable. They only clean the place once a week! This is in part due to the fact that it is a family owned business and they are trying to make the most profit they can; which means that your child’s welfare is secondary or tertiary to their benefits and convenience. Care takers are very friendly however owners are belligerent. I was told they do things their way regardless of my child’s needs (basically if your child has a set schedule, they will have to conform to theirs). They keep kids in a basement which seemed very musty and damp (keep your kids HOME if they have mold allergies).
