I can strongly suggest to you that ELC staffs are amazing and incredible. My son has been attending for almost 2 years, and he really likes them so much. Even during the Pandemic, still continuing, they are working hard to keep our children from any chance of contagion. (Also their health too.) I truly appreciate them for their lots of efforts.

Our child has been going to ELC for 3 years and we absolutely love it. The team (both the Educators and the Office staff) are incredible - we can't recommend them enough. We know our child is safe, and they come home at the end of each day with the best stories. The staff provide us with resources if we're working towards a new milestone (like when we started potty training), and they are so supportive of our child's interests. We also love how connected we feel to the daycare and the activities the children do during the day; they feel like a part of our family, and we love them all so much! The centre is clean, brightly lit, filled with colour and excitement, and the yard is fantastic.

I cannot say enough about this daycare. As a parent I love the daily updates including pictures and videos. The educators are extremely creative to keep the kids engaged and involved. You will definitely see your kid develop, grow and learn. I am glad I found this daycare and I would definitely recommend you consider this place as your kids second home.

I could not be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter in ELC. She is currently in the Observer group (the youngest one) and has been enjoying her time there immensely. This was her first introduction into childcare and, as an only child, she has not had much opportunity for social interaction (especially during the pandemic and the resultant restrictions). However, her transition was seamless! This is in large part due to the amazing staff at ELC. They are professional, warm, and very experienced/qualified for teaching children and infants. They are always engaging directly with the children/babies and are always playing with the kids (instead of merely watching them play or standing around on their devices). I especially love the daily updates that they post on their app that keep me up to date with the various activities the children in her group are doing. We also get weekly individualized updates specific to our daughter, which we can share with family.
The facility is conveniently located and parking/drop-offs are no issue with their designated parking lot. The daycare is clean and has play areas designated for the various age groups. They have an on-site kitchen and a healthy menu.
I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone. Seeing how well our daughter is thriving since joining this community has eased any worry I might have had about her starting daycare.

This is a great facility run by compassionate and caring early childhood educators. I feel so blessed that my son Aiden is able to be a part of the ELC family. He loves going to daycare here and I have seen firsthand how much time and effort they put into each and every child. Our little boy has been attending this daycare since September. We were supposed to start in April but the pandemic was announced and changed everyone's plans. We got to watch from the sidelines how they handled the pandemic and then in turn how to make things work for reopening. They have been adaptable, supportive, and incredibly understanding to everyone's circumstances individually.
For the care itself I have always felt confident in their ability to watch my boy. We toured many daycares and this was the only place I felt in my gut that could handle the job. The staff are always friendly and give me a run down of the day when I pick him up. We get a daily update with pictures of what they have been up to. They keep up super busy because he naps better there than he does at home! My boy adores going so far and I am so happy with our choice in Early Learning Childcare.

By fostering an atmosphere of learning and exploration with fun and educational activities, Early Learning Childcare creates an environment that your children will love being a part of.
We have had our son at Early Learning Childcare for almost as long as they have been open, and have loved it from the very beginning. While it is a relatively new daycare, having opened in spring 2017, the staff are clearly well-trained and experienced. Not only that, they are easy to communicate with, and welcome your input and participation in developing their weekly learning plans. The daycare uses an app to log things like diaper changes, feeding, napping, etc. More importantly, they use another app that allows parents to share in the daily experiences of their children, with thoughtful explanations and descriptions, as well as pictures and videos, of their activities.
The facility is clean and well-kept, with new toys and activities inside each room, and an open space outside for exploration and play. Plus the daycare is conveniently located close to small parks and is only a few blocks away from the Legislature grounds. There is street parking on two sides for a quick drop off, with a dedicated daycare parking lot to the rear. You can also be certain that your children will be kept safe and sound, as the grounds are secured with locked gates and security cameras.
We highly recommend Early Learning Childcare to anyone who lives or works near downtown for the great location, amazing staff, ease of communication, and high quality of care for your family.

My son has been attending Early Learning Childcare for the past 5 months and loves it. As a working single parent with no family in the city, it is a huge weight off my shoulders to know that he is so well cared for at daycare. The caregivers and other staff are amazing, and provide engaging and enriching activities throughout the day that enhance my son's cognitive, social, and physical development. The caregivers maintain great communication with parents throughout the day, and take a genuine interest in each child. At pick-up time, it's so nice to have multiple caregivers spontaneously tell you about your child's day, and see that they are celebrating your child's milestones along with you. Even the caregivers in the other rooms know my child's name! I feel so lucky to have my son attend this daycare, and highly recommend it to anyone.

The daycare has been great for our son. The staff are fantastic. There are so many people who have given him a safe, fun place to learn and play. Annie made his feel at home from the get-go, she has been such a reliable person, and she seems to be a great example of the vibrant spirit of the place. At ELC, children are provided with the attention and care they need to grow and thrive.
My daughter has been attending ELC part-time for almost 3 years now, since 1 year of age, and we are so happy with the level of care that is provided.
For the children: 1) the quality of programming is *excellent*: each week is themed, and caregivers schedule activities around the theme that boost the full spectrum of development. My child is learning lots of pre-K material from arts to science to language.
2) More than anything, the children are provided genuine love and comfort by high caliber staff. It is clear that the staff genuinely care for each and every child in their care, and are invested in helping each one grow and feel safe and supported.
For the parents: 1) Communication and management from staff and management is really truly excellent. Nothing has evidenced this more than the Covid-19 pandemic, with parents kept informed at every step and protocols adhered to diligently.
2) ELC is definitely a 21st century daycare - using 2 different apps, parents are able to remotely check on their child's day (eating, sleeping, toilet) in real time and to learn about the activities through stories. The real time app was a real help at the beginning when I was anxious about my daughter starting daycare, and was preoccupied with her while at work. In the long-term, the app helps with caregiver-parent communication. 3) for cloth-diapering families - ELC is 100% on board with cloth diapering.

I highly recommend this daycare to anyone who is looking for childcare. The staff are absolutely amazing, very hands on with the children and educating. My 2 year old has been attending since last March. He treats this place like a 2nd home. That there says a lot about Early Learning Childcare.

Having worked in only one other daycare before Early Learning, I had no idea of the programs that could be implemented and the extra care that could be provided to children. I'm so happy that I made the move and joined the Early Learning team, as I now have a second family not only in the staff, but the parents of the children in our care too. You can see that the teachers here really care for every child, proving it in their relationships with the children. Highly recommend to both parents looking for care, as well as daycare teachers looking for a new place to work.

My daughter has been attending Early Learning Childcare for a few months now and my husband and I are so happy with the care she is receiving. She absolutely loves to visit her "friends" during the week and has made a connection with the amazing staff who clearly have a true heart for the children. We are super impressed with how focused they are on educating the kids and how many new things our daughter learns each day and comes home to share with us. The staff work together as a team which is key in this type of environment and there is great communication with parents. We are just so happy to have a trustworthy place for our daughter to learn and grow!

I've been working at Early Learning Childcare for over a year now and it has really helped me learn and improve skills as an Educator.
I've developed many relationships and bonds among the staff as well as the children. In this daycare, I feel appreciated by parents and well looked after by the management and the staff works as a team to help each other out. We all understand the stress of the workplace and work together to make the work day efficient and enjoyable!

I was dreading my return to work (despite loving my job) because I didn’t think my very-attached, sensitive one-year-old baby was ready for daycare.
Fast-forward five months and that baby loves being at the Early Learning Centre as much (possibly more!) than being at home.
Initially we chose it because the space is beautiful and we loved the open-concept, all of the children seemed relaxed and happy there, and we appreciated the daycare’s use of Baby Connect and Story Park for updates.
We love it now because of all those things but above and beyond anything else, we love it because of the staff.
Every single person working there has gone further than we even dared to hope to welcome our daughter, get to know our family, and truly make us feel like they treasure our child as much as we do.
They are our extended family and we could not be more comfortable and satisfied with the care, nurturing, stimulation and affection our daughter is getting there.

Our daughter loves going to 'school' at ELC everyday! I was unsure of putting her in daycare when I went back to work, so did tons of research am super happy with Early Learning Childcare. They have wonderful teachers, weekly lesson plans full of crafts and learning activities, and are accredited by the provincial government. Also, the management and teachers are really accommodating to special requests like potty training, dietary issues, naps, etc. And maybe best of all for working parents, our daughter is so comfortable there that morning drop offs are a breeze and she sometimes wants to stay when we come to pick her up at the end of the day.

My husband and I both grew up with stay at home moms, and were wary about finding childcare for our son. The minute I walked into Early Learning Childcare, I knew I had found our daycare. They keep us in the loop throughout the day, provide excellent pictures and summaries of activities, feed my child meals and snacks that far exceed my expectations, and care for him with so much love, patience and kindness. I am so happy to have Early Learning Childcare as a part of our son's life.

We love this center! Our two and a half year old son has been going daily since they opened (April 2017) and they have been great. They work very hard to have great communication between the teachers and parents. We get almost daily updates on the things they are learning throughout the day. Knowing how much all the staff cares about every child that comes through the doors made it an easy choice when we chose Early Learning Childcare to enroll at.

If you are lucky enough to get your foot in the Door at Early Learning Childcare, you will finally feel like it's an extension of your home - with the caveat that this place is likely way cleaner than your house and the cooking might be better too...lol. The staff and directors here are like friends and family all tucked in to one. Huge shout out to Annie White who helps manage and direct programming here, but also brings her guitar in to sing to the kids and make them all feel loved. She tickles, laughs and brings sunlight and creativity to all those that are lucky enough to cross her path, be it children, staff or parents. Her outlook is reflected in the eyes of the chlidren here and my two daughters ( aged 1 and 3) couldn't have found a better second home. Thanks to all staff, directors and owners who make this such a special place.

I was worried about putting my 10-month-old son in daycare and have been sending him once a week for the last two months to see how he does. He loves it now.
I like and trust his caregivers. They respond promptly to any questions I have through their in-house app and go the extra mile to help manage a health issue.
I like that I can see whether he's sleeping or when he's last had a meal or a diaper change through their app. I'm also impressed with the infant programming provided. They have so many activities that I would have never thought about myself. I'm happy that my baby has extra opportunities to develop and interact with other children his age.

I have worked in childcare for 4 years and in 6 different centers. ELC has an incredible staff and is very supportive to both employees and families. Their center is devoted to high quality program planning and works to provide families with information and feedback about their child on a daily basis. 10/10 would work for again.

The best daycare I have yet to see. The owners are awesome and are there every day to oversee. Facility is state of the art. This is the only daycare my 2 year old does not want to come home from. He literally stop..drops..and rolls at home time. Food is very tasty and healthy. We have tried a couple of daycares and this one he loves. You will not be disappointed!

I can't say enough positive things about this daycare! I ended up going back to work earlier than expected (before my son was a year) and naturally was filled with anxiety and stress about leaving him so young with a bunch of "strangers". Strangers could not be further from the truth of what they have become to me, my partner and most importantly our son. He screams with excitement when he knows we are at the daycare and literally leaps out of my arms and into his care givers every single morning. They truly are his second family and I could not be more grateful.

I brought my 15 month old son here after having a bad experience with another daycare. I was so discouraged and worried I wouldn't find a good fit for our son. From the moment I walked into Early Learning Childcare I was at ease. Their staff are incredibly knowledgeable and they have their systems and processes down to an art. My sons teachers are always so kind and compassionate to him. They do fun and educational activities, spend time outside, eat healthy food and are truly nurtured. We are grateful for every staff member at the Early Learning Centre, because collectively, they have built a warm, supportive community where all daycare attendees feel like one big family.
A huge thank you to Annie and Jackie who manage it all. While they can reliably be found in the main office, just as often they are engaged with the kids inside their classrooms, which we deeply appreciate. We love that our daughter is as familiar and comfortable with the administrators as she is with her regular teachers.
Annie always takes time to send us adorable photos of our daughter via StoryPark conversations, and to share observations and anecdotes with us at drop-off and pick-up. She makes us feel like our daughter is being cared for by another member of our family -- we definitely consider her a part of ours.
Jackie greets us with a smile every morning and every night -- asks us about our other daughter (who is older and doesn't even attend ELC!) and our work. We don't know how she remembers so many individual details about each family.
We would HIGHLY recommend the ELC to anyone searching for quality childcare downtown Edmonton.

Love this place - My 1 year old son has so much fun here every day! The daycare space is so bright and colourful, and is filled with natural light. Their outdoor play space is huge and they even have little tyke cars and bikes for the kids to play with. We're so glad our son is in such great, caring hands!

Highly recommended. I was nervous about putting my 10 month old into full-time care until I found ELC. I worried that he wouldn’t have fun, eat healthy food, or get lots of hugs like he does at home. The staff are attentive and friendly, and I know that he is well cared for every day. ELC has made my transition back to work much easier than anticipated.

I've had my 14 month old in ELC for the last 6 months and we have been really impressed with every aspect of care he has received: The ladies there obviously enjoy their jobs and care about the kids. They do a great job communicating to us how his day has gone (through messages and pictures on an app on my phone). The learning activities they do for them are really neat. The facility is very clean and well managed. I know three other moms that also have their kids @ ELC and, from what i know, they are also all very satisfied with the daycare.

Our daughter (18 mos) attends ELC and she absolutely loves it. She has many little friends and I know she's very fond of the staff (as are her mother and I). I'm very happy knowing our little one is well taken care of each day. They are all very organized and professional. This isn't just childcare, they really do a lot of things that make the name "Early Learning" totally fitting. Cannot recommend ELC enough.

I've worked at Early Learning Childcare for just over 7 months now and I couldn't be happier. This centre not only provides the best quality childcare through loving Early Childhood Educators, learning stories and a beautifully designed space but they really go above and beyond to make you feel like family. The parents themselves have built a great community among each other and are actively involved in the program. The staff are constantly spoiled with treats and opportunity. When we found out we were going to become first time parents one of the first things people told us to do was find child care. Of course we didn’t take that advice as soon as we should have, and so we ended up being pretty worried we wouldn’t find a place we felt comfortable leaving our baby, let alone excited about going to every day. Fast forward several months and we were lucky enough to secure three days a week here for our daughter when she was just 6 months old at Early Learning Childcare (ELC) Daycare. Since we weren’t in a position to be choosey we took a few friends’ recommendations and jumped at the chance.
And, luckily, we honestly couldn’t be happier with the care our daughter gets at ELC Daycare.
From the very beginning, our daughter has looked forward to going to day care to see her “friends” each and every day. The staff are caring, warm, friendly endlessly energetic, and natural teachers to Maven. She comes home each week with a surprise skill, word, mannerism or song that leave us smiling from ear to ear, and we know it comes from the great care and attention she gets from all the wonderful staff during the day.
We can still remember her first full day, and even though there were tears (parents’ not Baby’s), we had absolute trust that our little girl was in good hands. We thought about her every minute of that day, but we knew she would be more than ok. There is nothing more important to us than knowing she is safe and surrounded by caring and competent people, and we can honestly say that in the past year the staff here have become a second family to us.
She is learning, having fun, and feels 100 per cent safe here. What more could we ask for?

It has become more and more difficult to get our daughter to leave at the end of the day because she's enjoying herself do much. The ladies who work at the center are sweet, attentive and really seem to enjoy their time with the kids.

Our son has been attending ELC since he was 11 months old. It feels great to drop him off every day knowing that he'll be spending his time away from his parents with loving teachers in an environment that's so educational and enriching. ELC feels like an extension of our family.
The team at ELC has worked hard to foster a warm environment and culture, and it shows.
Also, he eats better than I do while he's there! It's so reassuring (not to mention a huge workload-reducer for me) knowing that he gets nutritious snacks and lunch every day.
I've recommended ELC to everyone I know who's looking for great care for their kids.

ELC is one of the best parts of our son's day.
He even wakes up saying the names of his friends and the staff there.
Every single staff member has a genuine interest in and concern for the kids in their care. The kids get to laugh, play, eat (very well!), and have fun in a clean, bright, and professionally-run facility.
ELC is beyond child care. It's a place for kids to be surrounded by love, curiosity, and fun. We plan to stay with the ELC family for years to come!

I am so happy that I have enrolled my child at Early Learning Childcare , the teachers are so knowledgeable and provide amazing activities for the children . I really love the updates I get everyday over the apps they use. The downtown location is really convenient and it is the only daycare downtown with a large green playground , trees and veggie gardens . The owners are lovely and really care about the quality of care they are providing !

Our daughter loves the Teachers, her daycare friends, & all the interactive educational toys there. We love that it has so much natural daylight, they serve the kids food that is freshly prepared and cooked daily, they take the kids for walks regularly and the Owners are lovely!
