Disgusting customer service. I tried returning an item for my girlfriends mother in store. She ordered the item through the click and collect service and made the mistake of not reading the online reviews. The items which arrived was incredibly flimsy and was in no way fit for purpose. The poles sprung out very easily and posed a pretty serious health and safety hazard. We tried returning it to the shop where I was made to stand inside while a member of staff (I hope he was anyway, he wore no uniform or identification) assembled the item and told me that he saw no problem. I told him that when the item was actually used it fell apart very easily however he dismissed this and was very short and rude with me. I made it very clear that the item was not fit for purpose and was dangerous however he refused the refund. His excuse was that he could not sell the item if we returned it. Anyone with any consumer knowledge should know that if an item is being returned because it’s not fit for purpose and is a health and safety hazard should not be sold on. The member of staff was rude and arrogant. I have got to admit, attempting to embarrass your customers to avoid owning up to selling dodgy and dangerous products is a great tactic. I contacted head office and the reply was late (they did apologise). In the end I had to message on Twitter, Facebook and email to receive any sort of response. They said they would ask the store to see why the refund was refused and that this would take time. In the meantime I checked the reviews for the product online, and pretty much every review over the past two years state how this item is flimsy, falls apart and is a hazard. Some of these reviews stated that they went into store and received a refund instantly. I messaged the business back with photo evidence of these reviews, asking for a reason as to why they were discriminating by picking and choosing who they have refunds to and as to why they were selling a dangerous item. The next morning I received a reply saying that a refund was going to be issued but that it was a ‘one off’. Yet somehow they avoided all of my concerns about discrimination and health and safety... I am so glad to know that a business such as this, selling faulty and dangerous objects made for kids is allowed to pick and choose who they refund and have basically said they would not refund me in future if I had a dangerous item. Reviews online show that it is not just this store but the whole business which only cares about their customers up until the point the money has entered the bank and then does not care about them after. It is laughable that they think they can get away with these dodgy practises and that people still shop here. The business should be ashamed of theirselves for putting children at risk and the member of staff that dealt with me should have some basic lessons in consumer law and basic manners. I am glad to have the money back so It can be spent on honest businesses that actually care about their customers. Pretty funny that I had a recent experience at another large brand toy shop which was the complete opposite and showed that they genuinely cared for my custom.

It's just a standard toy shop. Sells the same and priced the same as toys r us.
BUT... the staff here are quite friendly and helpful. So bumped up to a 4 star.
We wanted some 2 way radios for camping. The store actually use the ones we were thinking of buying. The man showed us his radio and let us have a quick go. Resulted in a sale and a happy customer.

Used this shop for years since losing the nearby toys r us adn mever had an issue, but as always you never know a place until you have a problem. Went to return an item and the staff were completely rude, what was made out to be the manager there was wearing joggers, no id and looked incredibly unprofessional. Would not let us return an item and actually laughed at us even though we described it was not fit for purpose while another colleague actually agreed the product was flimsy. Will not be going there again after this experience.

Bad customer service from a lady called Barbara at the oldbury store, tried to call numerous of times beforehand but no answer or just cut off, when finally got over to the store to collect presents for my daughters birthday i produced the click and collect barcode and said she wanted id so i produced my driving licence and bank card but my partner ordered the items and I only tend to carry my id not anyone else's (as I believe this is against the law). She was so rude and unhelpful and also felt very shocked at the way she spoke to me hence the reason I asked for her name.

It’s a lovey plaice for kids toy but won’t let kids use toilet and my boy suffer with his stomach from nerves staff was rude and bad attitude I told them about my son’s situation still would not let him use toilet he was brought to tears I managed to get Greggs to let him use the toilet

I went into store to return items which I purchased day before I wanted to refund and swap a item the lady was so helpful went a extra mile to help me out
Also she was helping a young man refund my items it was his first day she told not only she had patients for me but for the young man too so helpful towards him and praised him up .

Be careful of packaging of toys, it’s noticeable that some packaging aren’t in good condition, my daughter picked out a toy from the shelf, I could see the box was damaged so I picked up the box from behind and paid at the till, I didn’t notice till I got home that the replacement toy box was also clearly damaged at the back, not impressed. Will be returning...

Great range of stock, which is regularly updated. Stock is regularly put on sale during its shelf life, and the store has regular offers throughout the year.

We visit this stall all the time and never had a problem however today I visited to collect a click and collect as needed a car seat staff was rude on the door then brought my order on what only I can describe as a very ripped plastic bag dumped it on the floor and shut the doors which as a loyal customer I find just shocking and most certainly will not be visiting the store again

Brilliant superstore got everything you could ask for,shame the staff let the the big kids go round the store on the scooters and the bikes like mad men they just missed going into my husband but they didn't care. If a little one was there they probably wouldn't of been so lucky, so please get your staff to stop all this as its an accident waiting to happen.

I ordered a ps4 1tb pro with a game from the website for click and collect. When I collected it it was the ps4 1tb with the game. I went back to the store and explained, and the staff were fantastic and sorted the issue out. (Hence the 5 stars) MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR ORDERS WHDN YOU COLLECT.

Sells a great big range of toys and games for all ages. Much more so than TRU or most other toy shops. Also very often has hard to find ranges at reasonable prices and is early in getting new ranges of toys in. The biggest thing that makes this store stand out though is the level of service from the staff. Always on hand and ready to help or advise you, they are friendly and actually look like they enjoy the job. They know their products, and nothing is too much trouble. They never make you feel like an inconvenience. All members of staff I've come across here have been fantastic - really helpful. Makes a big difference to the shopping experience and worth the trip over to Oldbury for the high standard of service. 5 star brilliant! highly recommend!

I understand that it must be stressful around Christmas time for staff in this toy store however I am disgusted with the attitude of some staff members. When staff were asked for help you are greeted with a huff and a scornful look. There was a staff member throwing toys on the floor and having to be calmed down.
I had brought a robot from behind the counter and was asked for my receipt prior to leaving. Do they really think I was able to leap over the counter and take the robot without anybody noticing.

Went today...asked one girl to help me find 2 items, she seemed as though she couldn't be bothered...I then asked a man and he took me straight to both items and also got me my last item from upstairs. The first lady was more interested in putting the shopakins neatly on the shelf, than to help customers.
