(without exception) lead by Jon Woods- so although the quality comes from the top -the rest have to follow through and they do. All very professional, articulate and efficient. I am very happy with the service provided. D&G Battersea Park lettings are clearly the market leaders in the area and produced a highly impressive number of viewings (20+) that lead to them receiving an acceptable offer within 3 weeks. I work in the industry but appreciated they still took the time to explain everything thoroughly and gave me regular updates and feedback. I have just purchased a flat through Douglas & Gordon Battersea. I dealt with Roberto at the office who was always incredibly professional, helpful and proactive. I trusted him from the start and always felt he was giving me the honest answers to some difficult questions which always arise when there are more than one buyer interested! We have been with D&G since the past summer and despite horrible experiences with other estate agencies in London, we have been really pleased. We were very picky and they were really understanding and keen to help us find what we wanted. Our estate agent, Emily, has been really helpful and approachable when issues have risen and we did not have to wait for weeks to get back a reply, unlike other places that you have to pressure them to respond back. We cannot thank Emily Shakesby enough for her thoughtful and genuinely kind approach to our house hunt in October 2019.
We started our conversation with Emily because of a dream property which we had seen by chance, but had already lost out to other bids. That property set the benchmark and Emily delivered with a constant conveyor belt of possibilities, until we finally hit the mother-load and found the absolute jewel in the crown and the place of our dreams.
We have found a slice of heaven in our park facing flat. It ticks all of the boxes and had it not been for Emily's innate understanding of our dream pad; we would probably be sitting in another corner of London feeling altogether a little bit incomplete.

What a fantastic service from some really great people. The hunt is stressful enough without having to deal with agents phoning up 15 times a day. I was assigned the services of Harriet Brandon. She was very easy to talk too and completely understood what I was going through, and actually listened to my requirements. I asked her not to ring me, but instead only email - and guess what, she was the only agent that actually did this!! (thank you Harriet). I viewed a handful of properties with her. She was very un-pushy and always arrived on time. It was an absolute pleasure hunting through D&G, not something I would say about most estate agencies. I'm sorry that I found what i was looking for elsewhere, though I wish you all the best. Many thanks!

From the first call I was aware of Ross Bower's courtesy, warmth and a keen sense of determined professionalism who was willing to go the extra mile in order to help us. He arranged two viewings for us in the same property within 48 hours of our first call - he has communicated well throughout the process of negotiation, and has demonstrated ruthless efficiency throughout the sale process. Dealing with Douglas & Gordon and, in particular, Xander Dawes, was an absolute pleasure. Being a first-time buyer the process is daunting, but Xander was patient, proactive and by far and a way the best agent I dealt with during my search. I eventually didn't buy from Xander but his level of service made me wish I had been able to give him my business. Unfortunately D&G didn't end up acting for me, another agent beat them to it, however from the million agents who I did try and deal with, these guys were the only 2 worth noting. Estate agents have a pretty bad reputation of not listening to what requirements you tell them, answering your requests, calling back when you ask for viewings, knowing their job...list goes on.
D&G are not on the realm of Estate Agents, they are more property consultants. Emily has either been trained well or she is just naturally gifted. She listens to your needs, contacts your regularly to see how you're getting on with your search and shows up to viewings! A great asset for the company (she also deserves a huge pay rise!!)

Emily was amazing and helpful throughout. The property we ended up moving into was one that I hadn’t even considered and she took us around to view. I can’t fault her at all.
However, I’ve removed one star as D&Gs policies made this an expensive move. They wanted the deposit and first months rent almost 2 months before we were due to move in, even after we’d paid the deposit to the secure the property. This meant that I had to pay my rent in my current property at the same time as the new property, on top of the deposit when my current deposit is still tied up. The only way I could afford to do this was via a short term loan which incurred interest.

Worst service imaginable - wasn't even serviced. Sent 2 enquiries in to view a property. Said I had to be emailed because of work commitments. No one even bothered to contact me, even after 2 attempts to get in contact with them requesting a viewing.
Obviously have an opinion about people that request email.
Wouldn't sell with them as positive leads don't get answered.

I have been so incredibly impressed by my experience with D and G - we have rented out our house in Battersea through Torie at D & G who has been truly amazing, very quick to reply to my emails, nothing has been too much trouble from organising electricians, booking and subsequently cancelling appointments, even offering to buy curtain hooks for me herself as I hadn’t ordered them in time. Honestly a five star service they deserve to do well with this level of personalised attention to detail and effort. Quite massively different to my previous experiences with estate agents. We couldn't have done it without Roberto Albrecht who was so patient but steady in helping this negotiation to go through. after being treated as per the poor reputations that Estate Agents have when selling my flat in Battersea, i finally ended up using Douglas & Gordon.
They were a breath of fresh air from the very start, with honest valuations and a plan to proactively take the property to market, that they actually actioned.
Once sale was agreed they stuck to the process and drove it to completion. i thoroughly recommend D&G Battersea as the only Estate Agent I've personally found to be trustworthy and professional in that area.
