Went for breakfast bacon was lovely but the sausages were anaemic poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs toast was rock hard and I've never heard of anybody doing garlic mushrooms with a fry up and home beans in a Bolognese sauce

I'm only giving this place 1 star as the chips were good. As for the rest of it, £36 for burger and chips x 2, a beer and a coke. I wouldn't mind if the burger wasn't rank, the staff were any good and maybe smiled a bit. Really cold and sterile place with no kind of atmosphere. If you paid me I'd consider going back to tell the other people just about to go in to not bother unless you like over priced, pretentious yet poor food.

Very tasty but really, surprisingly pricey for a quick lunch. £10 for a toasty?! £2.50 for a can of San Pellegrino?! It is really tasty mind you, but I can't justify the prices.

First visit having just found this place. First impressions, it looked really nice, nice location, nice setting, clean and new. On entering, we feared we weren't going to get a table since we hadn't booked in advance, it was that busy but a table for two was found, luckily. The menu looked good with a reasonably varied choice but if you're a pescetarian, there was only one or two chicken dishes on the menu. Not a great deal of choice. As we waited, I observed just how tightly packed the tables were and lots of them. Several people came and several finished and left as we waited, the battle to get in and out was quite a struggle - and quite annoying as our chairs and table was knocked about in their struggles. People entered or left with prams and pushchairs to a flurry of customers having to get up and move their chairs and tables to let them by. The constant scraping of chairs and tables soon became annoying. It was quite obvious to me there were too many tables with very little space to move, I wondered if this was actually legal, thinking about H&S and fire risks. Our meal was nice enough but we couldn't wait to finish, pay and leave. We'll try again another day to see if it's improved but if it's still tightly packed, it's a place we'll give a miss I think. Sadly.

The food is delicious and the setting superb. Yes it is pricey but the food is very enjoyable. However the service is absolutely dreadful. They cannot cope when it's busy. The staff are lovely and friendly but they simply can't keep up. You can be left standing at the till for minutes while waiting to place an order and you'll be ignored. You'll wait ages for your drinks and then finish them well before your food arrives. It's a shame. The owners should accept they need more staff. It's been the same for 2 years now.

An odd idea that works. A really well run, stylish cafe on edge of new housing estate. Good food good staff. Have a little look around the estate. A great kids park. This is going to be an excellent place to live.

It is a nice place to visit for food and beverages. Today we found the service was poor. A sign greets you with wait to be seated but nobody came. So we went to the counter to get served. Staff seemed distracted and disorganized. Such a shame as it was my husband's first visit. Despite this we would return for the beautiful cakes.

Lovely place, friendly, buzzing, and most important fabulous Sunday lunch, home made puddings. In the evening takes on a different feel, but the same friendly staff, interesting menu for food and bar. A little gem.

Absolutely love this place, their cake is second to none. The prices are reasonable considering the delicious food that is on offer, one thing that is worth noting is that you would need time to visit this place, as everything is made fresh to order it can in peak times take a while for your food to come to you. It is worth the wait!

Great for coffee and cake. They also do what looked like really nice Sunday roasts, although I was just there for the coffee. Nice busy atmosphere, with a nice clientele

Very very noisy enviroment. You can't have a conversation without shouting. The building is very hard on the eye, and ears. Very very expensive and very average food. The staff however are delightful. Kind and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble. The toilets were a mess as well.

Whilst the food is excellent and the service is good, there are no prices on the menus which is not good, there are no set meal options at x price, so you are sort of at their mercy when it comes to paying or ordering.... 3 courses for 2 people weighed in at over £100:00 which was a bit of a shock....sirlion steak served with chips and 3 roasted cherry tomatoes was £24.00 per person and the starters were between £8.00 & £11.50 each £4.50 A pint of lager. No wonder they hide the prices, but a bit unfair to the customer.

Visited a number of times with my wife. Nice and clean setting with friendly serving staff. Breafast/brunch had been fabulous on previous visits promting us to return to try the lunch menu. Portions can sometimes be overwhelmingly large. I have raved and recomended this place to others a number of times. Unfortunately my last visit for lunch has left me somewhat deflated and quite dissapointed. I ordered the slow cooked rib of beef from the specials menu. This was recomeded by our waitress, as she said it was on the menu the day before and looked amazing in her opinion. It became clear this was indeed yesterdays dish from yesterdays menu and I had the last portion, as its was rubbed of the menu once I had placed my order. First imression was good and the dish was well presented. This quickly turned to dismay as the beef was tough and dry. After a few bites I asked myself how I could finish this as it really was quite inedible in my opinion. I was more shocked it was ever allowed out of the kitchen. The serving staff were quite appologetic and changed to the blade of beef which was quite delicious. However, my experience had been left jaded and I questioned if I will return. My wife's monkfish was very average. It was tough in places and cold in the middle. We did not mention this to the staff. I was just keen to pay and leave. A real shame.

Bistro type surroundings and beautifully home-cooked food using fresh ingredients. Main courses and puddings all of an equal high standard. Good value too considering the quality. Chips really nice and one of the best cappuccino's I've had in a long while.
