This acting class was really good and enjoyable I really enjoyed it . Scott was a great teacher , I really enjoyed his tips about acting. There was really good communication between the tutor and the students. You should pick Scott sparrow as a tutor for acting beginners class . In the acting beginner class you will meet very different people and different personalities which is really nice .????????

I did the beginners and intermediate burlesque and body confidence courses with Rhiannon. I looked forward to my class every week. Rhiannon was incredible and really helped me to feel free to dance and gave me confidence in my body even though over zoom!

I did a 5 class online beginners ballet class with Pip - it was really great. Was excellent being able to attend from home - people could ask questions, ask for close ups / changes to camera angles etc to make sure we all understood the techniques. Thoroughly enjoyable, fun, challenging, and great value. I would recommend!

I have done 3 courses with City Academy and I really have learnt a lot. I have always dreamed of writing my memoirs for my grandchildren so that when they grow up, they will have insight into who i am ...or was. The courses here are exceptional. I have started learning to write, and i have learnt how to podcast! I did start a vlog and would never have felt confident enough to do this without the learning i picked up from City Academy. I started a contemporary dance course before Covid 19. Then it was suspended and when the got back to the course and continue City Academy didn't email or call me to let me know that the course was working again. So I basically lost my dance course .

Decided to give the Online Absolute Beginners Dance Course a go over lockdown in the spirit of trying new things and stepping outside my comfort zone.
Class was about twenty-strong, with a pretty even mixture of people who had some dance experience and those who had none. Being in the latter group myself, I was a bit apprehensive about dancing around my room on a Thursday evening in front of strangers over Zoom.
Which in hindsight was a bit daft.
Soon realised that everyone was there for the same reason I was: to try something new and have a laugh. No one was really that concerned that I couldn't keep up with the salsa tempo. Phew!
Least concerned of all was the instructor, Sarah Rowe, who seemed genuinely enthusiastic about what she was teaching but also appreciative that most of us weren't planning careers as professional salsa dancers and just wanted to have fun.
Course was very cheap, and gave me something to look forward to for a few evenings over lockdown, so was more than happy to pay £6ish for each class.
Highly recommended!

I love this school! I'm doing salsa course there and I'm impressed with the level of professionalism provided. Teachers are very good and the pace of classes adjusted to abilities of average person. I feel like they are able to teach how to dance everybody, even people who think they don't have skills. I also appreciate the society gathered around dancing department. It's easy to get involved in dancing socials. I totallly recommend City-Academy and I'm going to try different courses there.

Having just completed the Singing Beginners class, I want to say it was a fantastic experience! Jacob was an absolutely wonderful teacher. He always made it feel comfortable singing with and in front of other people. His warm up exercises and techniques have helped me to sing more healthily and avoid sore throats (which was what I had problems with before - I wasn't using the right body parts to sing). He coaxed people out of their metaphorical shells, gave us the tools to start singing, and celebrates how much fun it is to just sing together. His passion for music and guiding others really shines through. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone else interested in learning the foundations of singing.

We really enjoyed this one day beginners course. It truly was for folks just starting out with good balance between fun and informative exercises and one to one time. Tea and biscuits on hand in a great studio space right in the centre of London. If you want to learn the first rudiments of drawing l recommend this course. Great creative writing course for beginners. Supportive and clearly talented tutor, wonderful atmosphere and lovely fellow students. Included story structure, use of imagery and writing prompts. The exercises were fun and there was no pressure to complete things or get things right. Thoroughly enjoyable and a great stress relief from the day job

The Creative Writing Summer School (week's course) was excellent in every respect. All tutors were first class and brought different skills and insights to the table. In particular, our course leader Tom Crowley was engaging and encouraging, setting the scene for an open, sharing atmosphere in our group of six. I lack confidence telling stories in every day life and after researching this course, it covered all the main goals i was looking to achieve. Miranda my teacher was incredible with her constructive style and in depth experience as a teacher I highly recommend Miranda for any of her classes and this class if you are looking to increase your story telling skills.

Over the course of the last year I've attended nine courses with City Academy, from professional development through to acting and improv. The quality of the courses overall has been really excellent; the tutors have been consistently fantastic, and the course content engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. I've noticed a very positive change in myself as a result of taking the courses; vastly improved self confidence, and improved professional and social skills. I had a wonderful time on this course. Hamza is a fantastic tutor who makes you feel supported and comfortable. His insights into everyone's personal development is astounding and his criticism is always delivered constructively. You really felt it was a safe space, where you could fail and it would be okay, which actually just led to you performing better and getting the most out of the course. Other people on the course were wonderful to meet and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their screen acting.

I have attended City Academy in the past for a tap dance course. The teachers are very professional and they make you actually have fun during the classes. Definitely recommend City Academy!
