I cried when we split up for summer. Love this place, amazing lgbt+ and mental health support, they tailor their education to us students.

Turn a blind eye to thieving! Constant thefts of expensive student equipment from equine. Apparently has been an ongoing issue for some while. No lockers available, no cctv, not interested in sorting the problem. Catch the culprits and throw them out!

I will give it a zero star. How do you call this a college. I think the teachers are delusional. It is one of the worst experiences of my life. I found this place rather unpleasant. The lecturers I met are weak and do not have proper qualifications like BASIS, FACT or other basic agriculture qualifications ????. Their qualifications should be investigated. I found it pretty intimidating and was glad to leave. I wouldn't recommend at all. Avoid at all cost. If you want to learn agriculture go somewhere else.

I was really disappointed at Plumpton College I went there for my level 2 for horticulture at Stanmer park and it was the worst thing I ever done (I did my level 1 at Plumpton and I learn a lot more on level 1 than level 2) the college was bad and the communication was dreadful I was meant to finish in June just like the other courses but we finished in July! I didn't even learn anything exciting there, the staff wasn't that helpful and the work was confusing and very boring. Not only the courses was bad getting to the college itself wasn’t easy, if you can drive you will be fine but if you can’t they have there on bus service, how would I describe them? Terrible! The drivers were late picking and dropping you off, they are pricey and certain drivers were very rude, I used to live in Burgess Hill and my bus was meant to get to the bus stop around 8:10 or 8:15 instead it arrives at 8:25 or 8:35 and when we’re are leaving the college if it was raining we weren’t allowed to get in the bus when it was 5:10 how pathetic! Awful service I had better service on National rail! I wouldn't recommend this college to anyone at all go a find somewhere else as I heard a lot of people complaining about this place.

I went to Plumpton personally about 10 years ago where it was a fantastic experience. Mostly great tutors, facilities and under great leadership with the former principal Des Lambert. However, my partner and many work colleagues have shared their experiences with me of Plumpton over the past few years where it seems like it has really gone downhill. Staff punishing students for asking questions, poor information and communication, even teachers forcing a student having an anxiety attack back to class when they tried leaving to go home for the day (ridiculous this one in particular!!). Honestly it saddens me that I can no longer reccommend Plumpton because it was once a great college.

Plumpton College, How can I describe it, I didn't enjoy it, The coaches picking up and dropping off to eastbourne were poorly timed and expensive. most of the lecturers we OK but seemed to treat everyone as if we were children. There is barely any inside facilities to sit down and have lunch if its raining and if you sit in a corridor because there is no space is the small Cafeteria you get asked to move and eat some ware else. The only thing that gets it the 2 stars is that the animal care unit is up to date and modern with new technology and environment/ Humidity controllers. All there Birds Of Prey Were aggressive and will attack any student that has to feed or clean them. I've worked with birds a lot and the reason they are so aggressive is because they are mishandled. When students go in they have to go in with some one else holding a large rectangle wooden shield. most students panic when the birds come towards them and decide to hit them with the shield. And I personally don't think that level 3 students shouldn't be running the animal care center when lower levels are in there doing practicals as sometimes the level 3's can be very nasty and forceful making you do something you don't want to do. I wouldn't recommend. If you want to learn proper Agriculture, Animal care or Equine then go some ware else. If you ever move to Cornwall I would highly recommend the Cornwall college group.

I bought my Mum a Garden Design taster course at Plumpton to help her in landscaping her own garden from nothing. She had a fantastic time on the course and learnt a lot. She enjoyed the content and the pace and also said the food was great! The teaching staff were helpful and because the teaching groups were small content could be tailored to suit each student.

This agricultural college has tipped slurry into the sensitive Plumpton Mill Stream nine times in five years, attracting fines from the Environment Agency. The incident before last rendered 10km of this unspoilt stream and the Bevern Stream almost completely devoid of life. No gudgeons, stone loach, trout, sea trout, minnows, bullheads, stickleback, chub, no lampreys or eels. All gone... and unlikely to return for decades and some species, probably never. The College has had numerous opportunities to sort out it's dairy unit at Wells Farm but has failed to do so. It's unforgivable, especially considering the college runs courses in fishery and countryside management and trains the farmers of tomorrow. What an example to set them; the environment and our wildlife means nothing! The cleanup of the streams by the Environment Agency will have cost the tax payer tens of thousands of pounds. Hopefully the college will be fined and made to contribute costs. Hopefully it will also be made to shut down it's dairy unit which it manifestly cannot operate safely.

After providing work experience for several students , I have come to the conclusion that the education they are receiving from Plumton is very poor . Seems to be a lack of proper teaching staff ! Better of going to Sparsholt.

However Plumpton College might play it down in their press release yestersday's incident was the ninth slurry related pollution incident from the college in only 5 years. The college has destroyed almost all life for 10km in two of Sussex's most important streams, the Bevern Stream and the Plumpton Mill Stream. It is obvious that the college is incapable of running the diary herd at Wales Farm in a way that does not impact adversely on our shared environment so it has to be shut down. It is also hardly credible that the college principle Jeremy Kerswell and the farm manger should keep their posts. For an institution running courses in fisheries management and training the farmers of tomorrow you are setting a lamentable example.

I found this place rather unpleasant - the lecturers were good enough but some of the intake (from local farming communities) was downright nasty - many had aggression issues and others were out-and-out bullies, if they were allowed to be - I found it pretty intimidating, to be honest, and was glad to leave.
