I could not thank more for my lovely instructor Richard Booth, after a few bad experiences with two previous instructors I thought I’d give it one last shot and now I am happy to say I passed with 3 minors thanks to Rich. He really restored my confidence that I had lost and was very encouraging. Each lesson there was a brief and debrief so I knew exactly where I was at and what I was moving onto next. You can tell that Rich is really passionate about what he does and I looked forward to my lessons with him. I really do owe my driving achievements all to him!! I 100% recommend Go2 Driving School, I wouldn't send anyone anywhere else!

Outstanding driving intructor/school.
I have recently passed my driving test with Go2Driving, under the pressure of a pandemic.
I cannot recomend them enough, My instructor Rich, was polite, professional, understanding, adaptive in all apsects of teaching.
I suffer with anxiety and had previously started learning with a diffrent Derby based instructor. He was vile! (My previous instructor) destroyed my confidence and made me very warey of starting again.
Rich was so patient with me, took the time to adapt his teaching methods to what worked for me and my confidence grew and my ability followed.
At no point did I feel I could not ask a question for fear of sounding stupid, NEVER SHOUTED!!! Which was s common issue with my previous instructor.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about Rich and Go2Driving school.
From my very first contact with them via email, to my final lesson and test!
You will have a mentor and be taught how to drive not just how to pass a driving test, which seems to be the biggest issue with other companies.

Incredible!
After struggling with an instructor previously and developing a dislike towards driving and a nervous attitude. Raymond from Go2 really turned this around! He pushed me and believed in me all while teaching patiently and working to my personal skills set. I never believed I would pass my driving test first time or look forward to my lessons and thanks to Go2 I did both of these. I would 100% recommend Go2 to anyone!

I absolutely loved learning to drive, Rich was brilliant and I would recommend him to all of my family and friends.
Rich’s teaching style was great and he is very friendly. The lessons progressed at a good pace, He was really reliable throughout and flexible with lessons around my job. I didn’t ever feel under pressure and we work on my mistakes and I enjoyed every minute.

I am so impressed with the level of professionalism and focus of this driving school! While other driving schools just want learners "to pass", Richard wanted me to be a safe and competent driver, able to deal with any traffic situations. Each lesson started and ended with a plan, making sure there is constant progress; Richard knew how to deal with my anxiety and kept encouraging me, also preparing me mentally for the test. I could not thank more for my lovely instructor Richard Booth. He helped me to fix the bad driving habits, and passed my test today with only 4 minors. Very detailed and attentive instructor with a good sense of humour. If you were a nervous learner like me , Richard won't put you off. Couldn't recommend more of this driving school and Richard. Reasonable tuition with top quality teaching skills all around derby I would say.

I passed first time with Go2 driving school! So pleased.
I took my lessons with Rich and can 100% say I would recommend him to all of my family and friends.
I quickly built my confidence driving with Rich. His teaching style was great, i didn’t feel rushed or under pressure. I was never made to feel bad over mistakes either which was a fear of mine.
The lessons progressed at a really good pace, each lesson there was a brief and debrief so I knew really clearly where I was at and what I was moving onto next.
Rich was really reliable throughout and it was easy to book slots around my job.
Also I’d like to mention, at some point while I was already a student with them they brought the lesson price down abit, I had already been happily paying the original rate, but he notified me of it straight away and adjusted my rate too which I thought was really decent of them.
I really never thought I’d be able to say I passed first time but it’s all thanks to Go2 driving, they really are a great company to learn with and are the best at what they do. Thank you so much again!

He understands how to tailor a lesson to a students particular needs. He teaches with patience and understanding but also pushes you to achieve what he knows is possible.

I started learning with Go2 Driving after having had a bit of a poor experience with another driving school and honestly could not have had a better experience. I learnt with Rich and honestly could not have asked for a better instructor, he was super patient and really helped be to build my confidence. When I started my lessons I had a goal for when I wanted to pass and - even in the middle of a pandemic(!) - he helped me pass right in time. Go2 are really good eggs and I can’t recommend them enough.

Go2 driving school have to be the absolute best in derby.
The time and effort Matt has put into my lesson have been outstanding.
He has been extremely flexible regarding my needs and always fitting me in.
He has helped me become a better driver and I feel extremely confident and safe on the roads
Matt is an incredible instructor who doesn't rush and let things slide, Matt helps you work on your issues and is extremely patient.
I passed today with on 4 faults which is great! I found Matt on YouTube years ago and have watched his videos for a while and I feel honoured to have been tutored by himself!

Would like to thank Rich Booth massively after passing my test first try today! Top guy, real professional, calm and a good laugh. I applaud his patience and teaching ability massively, especially with someone as anxious as me. He’s made me feel so much more comfortable driving, going from super stressful to a calm and enjoyable, simple experience. Not only has he taught me so much he was really in depth with everything and gave me a proper understanding on the road.
After a few bad experiences with previous instructors I thought I’d give it one last shot, And Rich made that possible.

One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. My driving instructor Raymond made me feel comfortable and confident with driving, his approach to teaching and instruction is special and very effective. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone, I really do owe my driving achievements to him!! When I started driving I never imagined of passing first time, even more so with only five minors.!!

I was recommended to Go 2 Driving School after I had two negative experiences with other driving schools. This unfortunately lead me to being a nervous driver as a result.
My driving instructor Richard put me at ease from lesson one. He is so patient and adapts his teaching to suit your learning. I always looked forward to my lessons and because Richard was so supportive and encouraging, it encouraged me to work harder to not only pass my test, but to be a safe and competent driver. My confidence has also increased because of him and I now look forward to driving. His passion for teaching is inspiring and I can relate to this with being a newly qualified science teacher.
I passed my driving test yesterday and I cannot be happier :-) I can now drive to my new school with a big smile on my face.
For anybody who is wanting a very supportive and passionate driving instructor who will go out of his way to help you, I would highly recommend Richard from Go 2 Driving School.

Theres so many reasons as to why I would wholeheartedly recommend Go2 Driving school. Having learnt with the main man himself- Matt- I can say that the man is exactly like he is in his YouTube videos, if not, way better!!
I Initially learnt with AA and was knocked of confidence back when I was 17 and stopped learning from that point on after a nasty comment made by one of their instructors. Driving wasn't that necessary for me at the time with myself going to Uni. Having now graduated, I decided to try my luck with Matt after watching a load of his YouTube videos. Best decision I've made. Not only did he put the confidence back in myself but he provided much more depth to the learning with a summary of each lesson and what to achieve on the next, which was great as their was a clear structure. His style of teaching is extremely high quality and he managed to get me to the point where I passed yesterday, first time, with only 4 minors.
If you're not from the Derby area, Id make sure you also check out his YouTube videos as they provided me with even more help out of the lessons which can be used as prep for future lessons or even the test. He has also let me know of future plans for the channel and theres definitely more top quality content to come.
Cannot recommend Matt and Go2 enough (Also Matt's Car is incredible to learn in. Gutted I wont be driving that anymore haha).

I found Go2 driving school online via you tube and looking at the videos I could tell this was the driving school for me, the efficient teaching methods, lots of patience and excellent knowledge given led me to pass my test after only 44 hours of driving lessons!
My instructor Matt was brilliant and gave me everything I needed, the knowledge and skills passed on to me with lots of attention to detail and patience when I was getting things wrong helped me gain confidence and pass my test. I am now a good and safe driver but my journey with Go2 driving school isn't over, I am taking the pass plus course as I feel need to get better and better and with Go2 I know I will.
Thanks Matt and Go2 for all your help and guidance and I look forward to completing my pass plus and excelling in my future driving.

Has my recommendation 100%. My driving instructor, Richard, was professional through out. He offered advice in an easy to understand manner with an in depth review of the previous lesson in a way that calmed my nerves, especially for my practical driving test. Happy to say I passed 1st time with 3 minors thanks to the quality of instruction.

Really pleased with the Refresher Lesson with Michael my driving instructor. from Go2 Driving School. I passed my driving test a very long time ago but felt I was losing my confidence in certain road situations as roads have changed such a lot over the years. I was a bit nervous at first but Michael quickly put me at ease identifying where I was struggling. He gave me some good driving advice and I would definitely recommend a Refresher Lesson with Go2 Driving to boost confidence on today's busy roads. Their YouTube videos are also excellent.

Although I don’t live near Derby, Matt’s videos are an exceptional way of showing students learning to drive or that have already passed the test, various areas of driving and basic skills. They show an in detail view of many maneuvers, driving situations and key skills that undoubtedly will make us better drivers in the future. Definitely would recommend the YouTube channel☺️

After deciding to change my life and career and become a driving instructor. I talked to a few driving schools however i was still unsure whether this was for me but after speaking to Matt at Go2 driving school i knew i was making the correct decision. The lessons were always helpful and Matt was very flexible as i could only do lessons in the evenings and weekends due to work commitments. Matt was also always available on the phone for any reassurance or help that i needed whether it was regarding forms or applications that i had to fill in. After completing my part 1 and part 2 tests, i went on to applying and receiving my training licence. Matt was in charge of finding me learners so i could practice and gain experience whilst i was training, and what i felt most comfortable with was that I was guaranteed a job at Go2 driving school once i had qualified. I am now qualified driving instructor thanks to all of Matts help and I would encourage anybody looking for a change of career or lifestyle to talk to Matt for more information.

I did Pass Plus with Matt a couple weeks ago, and I couldn’t recommend it enough especially with Go 2 Driving School. I went from not being able to do a 10 min motorway journey to work, to now being able to drive a 2 hour motorway journey to university with ease. It has helped me beyond belief and I am now a much more confident and I personally think a safer driver. The lessons were tailored to your needs, and we even worked on things that had no correlation to the Pass Plus course! Pass Plus entails 6 modules or areas i.e. rural roads and motorways, however Matt quickly grasped areas out-with the course in which I am lacking skill, areas I did not know needed improving and that were never mentioned to me beforehand. Go 2 Driving School really stands out to me as all aspects were thoroughly explained, and I believe grasping the theory beforehand really helped within lessons, something not many instructors do. Go 2 Driving School is a perfect balance of professional and friendly and I have learnt so much in such a short amount of time. Go 2 Driving School really is a school that truly cares about their students and doesn’t just teach to pass the test and Matt is more than passionate about his job which is so refreshing to see. I cannot thank Matt and Go 2 Driving School enough for your help - you truly work wonders! It has been the best decision of my driving career.

I came across Go2 Driving School whilst doing online research and seeking for that progress and information I was not getting from my previous instructor. The fact that their prices are a little higher than other schools, put me off at first, but believe me, you will end up saving in the long term, as their methods are so effective, that you will surely need a lot less time to be test ready ????
Could not recommend my instructor Michael Excell enough, he is knowledgeable, professional and extremely patient. He helped me overcome my fear for speed and prepared me for possible situations I may encounter on my own.
Along with the YouTube channel and support group, I would say Go2 has everything you need in a Driving School and should be considered as the best option there is in the area.

My brother chose the same instructor and he seemed really confident and comfortable therefore I thought it would be suitable for me to follow in his steps.
I wanted a reliable instructor that knew his stuff and was easy to be chatty with as I feel a lot more confident when I have someone next to me that I can get along with.
At first I thought it would be a lot harder than I expected but my instructor became very comfortable with my ability and had confidence in me which helped me to progress quickly.
My instructor is extremely clear with his explanations and instructions and always gives me multiple options to make the driving experience the best for me as well as testing me on the way.
I would 100% recommend this school (especially my instructor) to others as he’s very reliable, easy to talk to and a very good instructor on the whole.
I personally have no problems with my instructor or the driving school and just really enjoy my driving experience with Go2

I recently passed driving my test on the second attempt. When I was feeling a bit bummed about the first try I searched 'driving school' into YouTube. I found a few videos but very few of them contained matt's professionalism, knowledge, precision and genuine enthusiasm about teaching people how to drive. The man is unmatched! Matt's ability to break things down and explain things in a clear and creative way was really helpful in the build up to my driving test. Matt sometimes talks about braking with the thickness of a coin. That simple piece of advice improved my braking drastically. I highly recommend!!

When looking for driving lessons I was looking for a school that looked the most professional, had a high pass rate and good customer reviews for proof of reliability.
Go2 Driving school ticked all of those boxes. Before I came to Go2 I was at a previous driving school that I wasn't happy with due to the service I was receiving. I only had about 5 weeks to go until my test date so I was under pressure, after a short easy phone call to Matt he had me set up for lessons within a couple of days to begin my final lessons. Even after 40+ hours with other driving instructors I found that I was still learning with Matt, he was covering things previous instructors hadn't actually covered with me. It has given me more confidence and made me feel even safer on the roads. He won't ever just tell you something, he will always explain why or give you a reason so that you completely understand the reasons for certain things. You do pay a little bit extra than most other driving schools, but what you pay for is what you get. The quality of service I have received has been great and I'd much rather pay that tiny bit extra for much better quality teaching with a really high pass rate, than pay less to receive satisfactory lessons and less understandings of the car and the roads. I'd highly recommend Go2 as the driving school to go to.

The most important aspect of choosing a driving instructor to train me up to instructor standard was ability to get along. Matt is a very easy person to get along with, very knowledgeable and efficient, all important aspects when you are in a car with someone for over 60 hours of instruction and your eventual livelihood depends on the outcome. Matt delivered tailored lessons covering my individual needs leading to my success as I am now also a fully qualified driving instructor thanks to Matt at Go2 driving school. Now I am working as a driving instructor I can say that the flexibility in timings of lessons and how many customers I want to take onboard has lead to a better quality of life, being able to spend more time with my family. It is also rewarding to see the progress of students and know that I have had a major input in to their safe driving ability. As you can see I have had a very pleasurable time training with Matt and would recommend Go2 and Matt to anybody wishing to learn to drive or become an instructor.

I feel as though it was important to find a driving instructor that worked for me, Matt was an absolutely pleasure to work with, he always worked hard to fit my lessons in and went out of his way to book time slots that worked for me. Due to the fact that I work it was important to find a driving instructor who could work later than 5 o'clock. Learning to drive has definitely been an interesting roller-coaster of experience, and I feel as though I now have the experience to drive safe. Matt had some fantastic methods and techniques when it comes to manoeuvres and general driving which was really useful. I would definitely recommend Go2Driving due to the fantastic service Matt provided.

When choosing a driving school I was looking for a high pass rate, positive customer reviews and a overall professionally constructed driving school. Go2 Driving proved to be just that and after a short phone call to Matt I was very pleased to hear that he was very flexible with booking times which was a massive help as i was working a lot of hours at the time. I thought learning to drive would be a challenge, but with Go2 driving it was a breeze. The teaching methods were very easy to understand and remember. This along with Matt's patience and confidence in me meant i was driving confidently and safely in no time! The tuition vehicle was always kept clean and the heated seats made lessons very comfortable during the cold evenings. His YouTube channel has a lot of visual aid that will help any type of driver; from beginner's to advanced level. His car is also an enjoyable ride. Best instructor in Derby by far.

I've had many hours experience, but polishing up on maneuvers, keeping well informed about how to do certain driving techniques including bay parking have helped me feel a lot more confident for when I take my test.
Slip roads, lane positioning, slowly rolling into a junction so you can continue driving without coming to a stand still are all tips and hints I shall take from watching Matt's videos.
With all his students, Matt comes across as calm, friendly and tolerable to driver errors, and provides informative criticism for any and all mistakes, but allows you to analyse the mistakes yourself to check whether you noticed what went wrong, which is one of the best ways for people to learn and understand.
100% recommend watching the YouTube channel, 100% recommend booking some driving tuition, even more so if you're local.

I watched a video on youtube done by this driving instructor on how to drive a petrol car after learning in a diesel car. I found it very informative and it really helped me be more confident. I was stalling all over the place yesterday, and today, I drove without stalling! Would deffo give his videos a watch if you need a bit of guidance after passing when you get your 1st car! :)

Watch Matt's YouTube driving videos. Can start to drive in about 2 months time, but I have learn a lot from all of the different videos on his channel. So I'm beginning to feel more prepared for the first lesson in about 2 months time. Great helpful videos, would recommend watching his videos or if you live local to his operating area taking lessons with him.

As a trainee ADI approaching my Part 2 test I was keen to get an expert assessment on my current readiness for the test.
Matthew's approach was fantastic with the right blend of friendliness, encouragement and honest feedback throughout. He took the time to understand what I was looking for from our 2 hour lesson and we drove according to that plan.
Ever alert to any potential areas of weakness, I left the lesson with a clear understanding of those areas I needed to fine-tune.

Your in really good hands with Matt as your instructor from the moment you start he's working hard to make sure your getting the most out of your lessons. He works on your weaknesses and helps you overcome them. I would not have saw myself going from failing with well over 5 minors and 3 majors with a previous instructor to acing the practical test with just 3 minors if it wasn't for Matt. I am currently having lessons with Matt, he is a very patient and friendly instructor that puts you at ease. Always happy to go over anything i'm unsure of. Matt has a clear way of teaching and will make sure you know what your aims are at the start of each lesson to enable you to work towards these and progress. Compared to lessons with a previous instructor it has been a really positive experience so far, my confidence has improved greatly.
