There were many good customer reviews that I saw about Go2 Driving School which is why I chose them.
I found learning to drive to be much easier than I had anticipated largely due to my Instructor having very good teaching methods that were easy to understand and it was a way in which I like to learn.
I received very good customer service and feel I picked up what was required for life on the road very quickly

Just taken my pass plus with Matthew and I'm so glad I did. Not only did he show me some techniques that other instructors don't teach, but also very patient with my progress throughout the entire course and takes time to explain everything in great detail. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to start driving lessons or just to brush up their driving skills!

I came across Matt on YouTube and found his videos very helpful as it got closer to my driving tests. I recently passed and decided to do a Pass Plus course with Matt. I found him to be very helpful and in-depth which really improved my driving as I learned skills that I didn’t learn whilst doing lessons with a different instructor. I definitely feel more confident on the road and am going to put the skills I have learnt into practice in my own car. Would highly recommend Matt to anyone!

I've had an amazing experience with Go2 driving school. Its exactly what i needed to help me get my confidence back and pass my test. I was looking for a driving school that would be professional but also friendly and thats exactly what i got. Matt was understanding of my nerves and managed to help me break out of bad habits i had developed from a previous driving instructor 3 years before. He was patient and clear with his coaching which meant I could really improve my driving at a pace i was happy with. I would recommend Go2 driving to anyone as the difference was lessons aren't to just get you to pass the test they are to teach you to drive confidently and safely. Go2 driving is a great option if you have had a negative experience with a previous instructor, I wish I had known and started driving with Matt much earlier.

Matt is a competent instructor who can explain driving procedures in a better way to understand what and why we do things (like safety checks) the way we do them and he also has lot of patience and passion to teach. Driving lessons with him are very interactive in nature so they enable us to reflect and think our driving habits which results in fast and effective progress on our learning curve. Before going in to any process or practice he explains the technicality of the subject which establishes a base so there is very little chance to forget stuff and I feel his teaching methods are customised to suit student’s thinking process and personality to enhance his driving skills. Considering all this I would highly recommend learner drivers out there to take lessons from Matt if they are based in Derby and the best part is your learning videos are recorded so that you can watch them back and better understand your own driving and develop further.

Always watch Matts videos on YouTube because they help so much with my driving. Would definitely recommend anyone who is learning how to drive and that's in his area to choose him. If you're not in his area then it's definitely worth looking him up on YouTube.

I found matts YouTube channel last year. All his videos really helped me. I don't think I would of had the confidence I do have when I took my test. Which I did pass with only 3 minors. I watched majority of his videos for a while. I still watch now as I still leave so much from him. His advice and tips are so good too! Thanks again Matt for all your help, advice and videos

I haven't had lessons with Go2 but I watch all the videos on YouTube and find them immensely valuable! I've already passed but the instructor I had was not even as close as good as Matt! Especially in terms of passion for instructing and personalised lessons. Pick Go2 if you're in Derby!

Amazing driving instruceter, never cuts any corners and makes the students feel like safe and confident drivers. Not only does he prepare students for the test he also gives them that extra help and guidance that will see them past the test and into the real world of driving. Overall no complantes and would highly recommend, and don't be put of by the fake reviews if you want to see go2 driving for yourself head over to their YouTube channel where you can see the professional and high standard instructing available. ????

When choosing a driving school the most important thing for me was finding an instructor who customised the training to my specific needs, which is exactly what I receive at Go2.
Matt has been flexible with lesson times as well which is a real help when my free time is limited.
So far the whole process has been made really easy for me, with clear instruction and any questions answered straight away. Nothing seems rushed or like I'm under too much pressure so it's a great learning environment to be in.
I think the methods used have helped me make progress quicker than expected and I know at the end of each lesson what I need to work on next lesson.
I would definitely recommend Go2 to everyone :)

Matt is a true professional! His attention to detail is second to none! How he identifys a problem and resolves it with a solution straight away, then finds a way of simplifying it so inexperienced drivers understand, shows how he understands every aspect of his job!
What a genuine man to put his videos on YouTube and share his knowledge, free of charge!
I’m from Sheffield and not drove for 10 years after failing 3 times, I basically gave up! I watched matts videos on YouTube and practiced in my wife’s car, (who also has a Peugeot 2008) booked my theory, did my Theory on the 14th of jan and my practical on the 15th passing with 2 minors all from matts videos!!!
I found his videos so easy to understand and the little hints and tips I put into practice and smashed my test with not one lesson from another instructor!! All from matts videos so thanks Matt I reckon theirs others like me so let’s show our appreciation for this man! Thanks again matt! Keep doing what your doing! You should be very proud! Your head and shoulders above any instructors in my opinion! Don’t waste your time with any body else use go2 driving!

Matte is amazing instructor who want practice on manual car ...honestly I didn't practice with him as I am automatic car learner..but his videos on YouTube helped me 100% .to pass my test last few days ....in his videos .matte show most route test and he explained every thing in amazing way ..i am not familiar in derby ..and those videos helped me a loooooot I been just before bed time watched them every day .until I knew most route.....is just amazing awesome....please if you are manual car learner go with matte ..with him and with his videos you will be brilliant driver ..and if you automatic car leaner .his videos will helping alot .just please find matte lessons on YouTube..very high recommended

I was told to book my test by another instructor but i didnt feel ready, so i went to Go2 Driving School and i felt i learned so much in a couple of lessons than i did in ten previous lessons.I was a nervous driver,but i enjoyed getting in the car with Matt. Matt is patient and even if i asked about something 100 times he would happily explain, ensuring that i understood and felt more at ease. I would definitely recommend Go2 Driving School. I passed first time with only two minors.

I had wasted time with unreliable driving instructors in the past, not getting very far, so the main thing I was looking for in a new instructor was someone with a solid reputation. A read through some of Go2's reviews was enough to reassure me of this. The fact that they are priced slightly above most schools is reassuring because as with most things you get what you pay for and I can honestly say that this is the case with Go2 (buy cheap, pay twice!) Learning to drive is now progressing much faster for me and I never feel any time is wasted.
Matt's teaching methods are that bit different as he teaches you to understand the reasons behind different processes rather than just giving you rules to memorise. Lessons are tailored to suit your needs and Matt will be always be careful to give the right amount of instruction whether it be small prompts, full instruction or a demonstration. It makes such a difference in progressing that bit faster as it all feels much more natural and the lessons are never boring, 2 hours seem to fly by!
I'd definitely recommend anyone looking for an instructor in Derby to contact Matt at Go2 as I think the teaching methods and quality of service will be extremely hard to find elsewhere!

When looking for a new driving school, one of the main factors was finding a driving instructor that didn’t shout over every little mistake. One of the things that Matt said was, “don’t ever feel that a question is too stupid”. This was a relief for me because previous instructors appeared to get annoyed if I asked them the same question more than once. I needed a driving instructor that I could feel comfortable with and at Go2 Driving School Matt was very calm and relaxed. Even if you find yourself panicking, he always remains calm and you don’t need to worry about making big mistakes because even before you realized you was about to make the mistake Matt has already picked it up which is good because you will never be in any danger.
I thought that I was unteachable as I had, had so many driving lessons with so many driving instructors (six to be exact). I thought that it would take me ages to adapt to another driving instructor, but this wasn’t the case, Matt adapts lessons to suit you. Matt also lets you use your initiative, which is a really good because I found myself becoming very reliant on other driving instructors and when it came to my test I felt lost because I wasn’t allowed to use my own instincts and became very comfortable with being told what to do.
Sometimes with other instructors I found myself getting really confused when I was bombarded with loads of information, but when Matt needs to tell you something he will tell you one thing at a time or wait until you have stopped in a safe and convenient place and then he will explain what you have done wrong. First Matt diagnosis the problem, then he tells you how to fix the problem; during this process Matt will include lots of knowledgeable information, then he will show you how to fix the problem using a variety of different techniques such as demonstrations, diagrams, instructions and explanations. Matt uses a wide range of teaching methods to suit you and if you are not comfortable with one method he will try another until you fully understand what to do.
I would Definitely recommend Go2 driving school to others! Matt is very professional and pays a lot of attention to detail, the atmosphere is relaxed, which is crucial for a successful learning process. Matt tailors his service to you as an individual giving you many options to choose from, creating a bespoke service. At the beginning of every lesson you will have a recap on what you did in the previous lesson and on what you will be doing in your current lesson. At the end of the lesson you will have a plan of action, this includes a discussion of your strengths, the things that you need to improve on and targets for the next lesson.
Matt is the best out of all six driving instructors, I have had! This is what I call a real driving school, it’s not just any old driving school, but it’s a school that teaches you how to drive safely, it’s a school that gives you up to date knowledge and it’s a driving school you can trust. I hope that Go2 Driving School becomes very successful as Matt puts in a lot of effort! I would definitely nominate Go2 Driving School as the best driving school in Derby.

The most important factor of choosing a driving school was that I was looking out for an instructor that sets out positive learning and has structured lessons that would help me to pass my test first time. I passed my first test today with just 3 faults. Learning to drive with this school was much more relaxed and friendly than expected but the learning was still very well detailed. I would definately recommend this driving school because it gives a positive learning enviroment and it sets you up for a positive driving experiance after the test.

I passed in august 2017 but i still watch his vids as i am always learning new things. He is patient and has a great sense of humour. If i lived in derby i would of been honoured to be his student. Himself and his school offers some of the best learner driving tuition not just in Derby, or even in the county, but arguably in the East Midlands and nationwide.
For me, I didn't just choose Matt after reading all the 5-star reviews online, but I truly did so after actually meeting him and witnessing his sheer commitment, enthusiasm and raw passion for the job myself. In Matt I saw a budding entrepreneur, keen to deliver the high quality, grade A tuition with which he did for me so effectively. After training with him for a mere few sessions, I found myself developing as a driver faster than I ever thought possible, especially compared to my development with my previous instructor who offered a competitive price but an unfortunate and typical low quality of tuition.
The methods of tuition Matt offers are far more advanced than any other driving school I know of, with his pupils able to perform specific, target based driving lessons, realistic mock driving tests, experience filling up at the petrol station and visiting drive-thru restaurants amongst other things, with students even able to record lessons to review later on YouTube to further improve the quality of their driving! Matt really is at the head of the industry and continues to deliver the most cost-effective, high quality tuition for learners out there.
I would strongly recommend that anybody, whether starting out learning to drive or fed up with their instructor due to a lack of progress, train with Matthew Durrant and his Go2 Driving School.

The main reason for choosing Go2 Driving School was a reccomendation from a prior student, who reccomended the instructor highly. Another important factor for choosing a driver instructor is having someone who teaches skills and expertise, past those required for the driving test itself. Learning with the driving instructor was much more relaxed than expected, if I made a mistake, why it occurred and how to prevent this from happening again was calmly explained for me. The instructor was incredibly thorough when explaining driving techniques and knowledge, which allowed for quick progress to be made. I would highly reccomend him to anyone in need of an excellent driving instructor, as the experience and knowledge I have required throughout the course of the training has been invaluable.

I only had 5 weeks to go until my test when i contacted Matt. My previous instructor had destroyed my confidence and I almost gave up wanting to drive. I needed a new driving instructor and I wanted someone that would reinstate my confidence and get me through my test. Well i certainly found this with Matt. From the initial phone call arranging lessons he had already put me at ease. His teaching technique is second to none, he knew how to get the best out of me and explained things clearly and effectively. You do pay a little more for his lessons but he is worth every penny. I definately reccomend go2 driving school, I wouldnt send anyone anywhere else!

The main reason i chose go 2 driving school is because someone i knew passed first time with zero faults with go 2 so i thought id give them ago.
I tranfered from a different drivng school as i didnt feel i was getting the right type of training.
Compared to my previous driving school i felt like i was getting better teaching and in much more detail.
My driving instructors teaching methods gave me exaclly what i needed and helped me pass my driving test and his youtube channel helped alot with my driving and ive gone and passed today with only 2 faults.
I would definetly recommend go 2 driving school because i believe to be the best around derby.
