I am in the middle of renovating my house I bought last year and one of the jobs that needed doing was to upgrade my electric night storage heaters for something more modern and efficient. I looked at several options but the Air Source system from Smart Performance looked great and the numbers make sense. The initial survey was informative and there was no pressure to sign up. I love the Air Source performance upgrade that makes it 35% better than standard air source. It works by moving the heating more efficiently around my home. Really made sense and works really well. The engineers who came to install the system were friendly and professional and they demonstrated how to set up with the control pad clearly and easily. The customer service was excellent. Would highly recommend. One big job done, a few more to go

I have had three lots of work done by this company since 2017. Seemed ok but company avoided sending me relevant paperwork despite numerous requests. All work was guaranteed with lifetime support. Started having problems with solar thermal in April 2019 water was contaminated by the fluid installed by Smart Performance. I was advised not to use the hot water at all.
Smart Performance agreed to replace the tank at a further cost of £1200. I agreed and a date for replacement was scheduled for May. Scheduled appointment was cancelled and after that I could not get any response from the company by phone, text or email.
In July the tank burst and my house was flooded and I lost all the expensive fluid that had been installed by the company.
Beware and do not use Smart Performance. They have a super whistle and bells website but it means nothing. Their head office is a serviced office facility and the people that answer the phone do not work for Smart Performance. The Bristol office does not exist.....I could go on but hope I’ve said enough to warn you off!

These guys are fantastic and so professional! Smart Performance was the first company to visit me and to provide me with a quote for a new Air Source Heating unit. I had two more companies come out but they did not appear to have the same knowledge and expertise and David who liased with me was very professional.
Day of install, Peter was punctual and arrived at exactly 9am for our scheduled time. He double checked all the details with me and then started to upgrade my heating system with his team. I really liked how he went through everything with me and took the time to explain everything he was doing. While he had all the system on his van , Peter realized that a part of our system would also need updating/replacing. So he left my place and went back to their warehouse to get the bits, which he replaced and then showed me the old bits he had replaced and they didn't charge me for the extra bits either as they said they missed it on the survey! I appreciate his integrity and honesty!

This has been a lovely year. Been very busy upgrading our home. The Air heating system that Smart Performance installed for us is working wonderfully. The underfloor heating that we upgraded to at the same time makes me wonder why we didn't do it before. All in all we are exceedingly happy with the home upgrades that Smart Performance have provided for us. Hubby of course has the remote control. Special Thanks and the extra 6* goes to Peter and to Riley.

I've had a 4kw solar PV and battery system fitted in our home. I can only say it was brilliant service and extremely happy. Scaffolding was included. Excellent service, installation was completed in a day. I would recommend smart performance for your renewable requirements. They are friendly, reliable, efficient and clean.

Incompetent
Smart Performance encapsulate every aspect of incompetent. I experienced all of the following: No show for initial appointment to sell the system; not turning up on the agreed start date for installation; not collecting payments on schedule; not providing the agreed installation and warranty documentation until four months after installation, despite promising within 10 days. None completion of RHI application.
Never available on the telephone when calling the office, and only occasional call backs for updates when getting through on mobile phone.
No one seems to know what is happening when you do get to speak to someone.
I could go on, but have wasted far too much time with this company.

In October of 2017 We had installed the Nano air source heat pump. We left it until after the winter before reviewing to see how effective this system is in our home.
It is now April and we have received our latest bill from British Gas, and the effect has been magnificent. Our bill has come down by a huge 81%.
The comfort factor in our home exceeded expectations. Peter, our surveyor, who first looked at our property and recommended this system was absolutely bang on with our requirements.
I would recommend both Peter and smart performance for both a superb system that really works and a lovely experience.

Just got my solar panels installed over the weekend and was a seamless process. Our consultant Stephen was very informative and patient with our questions. After seeing various companies and being confused with a choice, we were very happy to deal with a company that is not only experienced but were not pushy at all. They also gave us the best price with the most returns. Happy that they also gaurantee our returns in writing. We were recommended by my cousin who has has solar panels from smart performance and we also now recommend this company.

Currently taking them to court. Says it all. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The sales rep David King (if that is his real name) blocked my number then lied when I called from another number..
Their phone number is really to a call centre that don't work for the company and no one is ever available to talk.
They had to change their fb page to not show reviews or comments.

Got solar panels from Smart Performance. John was very informative and easy to talk with. I was impressed by their efficiency and clarity. I was kept in the loop at all times through installation. Most important our family saved money and it was as John quoted. We have just received our first checks and are happy to confirm our recommendation for Smart Performance.

Happy to say that our installation is complete and we are very happy with the quality of the job. As we had both solar and airsource being fitted we decided it would be prudent to stay with family in London for a couple I'd days.
We returned to a completed heating and energy ststem. Should have done this year's ago.

This partnership is underfinanced and lacks morals. It is not a company, it is a private partnership between a pair of crooked businessmen.
We paid this company a deposit in November 2018 of £11,000 to install £16,000 solar PV system in January 2019. By the end of March, we had received no communications from them regarding the installation. We finally got through and asked for a refund of our deposit which was promised by "John" (Mr John Anoszczenko and Mr Stephen Law t/a Smart Performance).
The promised payment never materialised. Several promises later, we have had to take the partners (Mr Stephen Law and Mr John Anoszczenko) to court to recover the money.
Stay safe and use someone else.

To pre warn me about this company. The main reason I went with Smart Performance was the great reviews. I am so upset that I ever involved myself with Smart Performance.
This company should not be trading and I would expect them to turn up on Rogue traders.
SP are great at giving you all the lip service in the world and will tell you that they are not the cheapest due to their customer Service - DO NOT BUY IT!! Once they have your money, they will not complete anything. If you do still decide to go ahead (I strongly advise you don’t)then PAY with CREDIT CARD as you are likely to need the assurances it offers (which I doubt they’ll accept!)
Ask John anything vaguely technical and he has no clue and his engineers don’t know about Daikin Airsource.
This system has cost an absolute fortune, does not save you money and costs a fortune to run. Each ‘technician’ will tell you conflicting information, but nothing to help you understand how to control and use the system.
It is a shocking shoddy installation which John has promised to correct since Oct 2018 with some pressure from NICEIC, but 8 months on is still incomplete and no contact from him to sort this mess out.
I have none of the reports or any paperwork relating to the installation and it won’t meet RHI requirements (no reports/costing a fortune to run)
I am exhausted from it all and no one will touch it to make it right.
I am likely to have to take them to court and it’s all too much trouble for something that should of been a simple installation.
They show as having good reviews but it’s untrue and I am aware the issues I have had are not one offs. John will threaten you with extra charges if you do not remove bad reviews. The issues I’ve had are so long winded and vast that it would sound like a soap opera. Take my word for it - DO NOT USE

We are very happy with the Solar system that we purchased from Smart Performance. It is producing more energy than we thought, so much that we are sending the extra energy into heating our water.
We had brilliant service from the start with Andy taking the time to analyse our bills, survey our property and explain how we could benefit . It was all very friendly and professional and I really enjoyed the experience.

Delay on installation of products as they explained it was all outside of their control. Richard Ward will now not answer my calls and still waiting to get installation of units signed-off for tariff reduction. Have to keep chasing them. Would recommenced to keep well clear of the company as their service is poor.

The worst company as I know. People never cooperate with this company!!!! I bought solar panels and additions from them, and at the beginning of the day everything was ok: they called every day, they promised guarantees and help, if something happened.
Liars and nothing more !!!
As soon as something breaks down, they do not realize the guarantee warranty, all the time they say that they do not have enough workers.
I am waiting for exchange 1 items 8 weeks !!!!.
When i call to the office then all the time I have got same conversation: "please give the number and call back " :) :): ).
They never call back. They stop taking your calls after a while, so I have to use other numbers.
The department of complaints does not exist, so there is no one to appeal to the complaints.
People do not use this company as I did it 4 years ago and today I know that it was a big mistake.

We originally had solar panels and decided to also go with an air source heat pump after gov support.
After looking at a number of different companies we decided to go with smart performance. This was in June 2016.
It took two days to install, I can't rember the names of the installers but they were good.
We are getting excellent heat throughout and I remember they also sorted my radiator in the back bedroom. We have since upgraded to Nano in our system and that is working extremely well.
My energy reduction has been above expectation and the quality of heat has been improved, although difficult to quantify it does feel a lot better.

Can't give no stars, 1 star rating is too much.
An elderly family member got pressured into buying from this company.
They make ridiculous claims about improving performance from your existing solar panel system without showing any data.
They offer to guarantee your existing system for life which is laughable.
The lack of any paperwork and a contract is incredible.
They flout MCS and RECC regulations and have been reported.
After I heard what had happened I intervened and cancelled within the cooling off period, thankfully the large deposit was paid by credit card. With the help of the credit card company and RECC they eventually returned the deposit.
