Brilliant place to run a conference or an event / client meeting. So amazing to be able to use such a space. I’m not sure people realise all the history so it would be great if the events team always offered an intro to the history and purpose. Great place. Great facilities. Great location. Great staff. ????

Faraday Museum and library are fascinating. They do school visits and seminars too which is good. However, I did my school work experience there many years ago, and they split me off and put me on the reception desk/admin. duties instead of with the scientists like they did the boys even though I was a science A-grader too. And then they wonder why fewer girls go into STEM. Hope things have come along. That was about 20 years ago to be fair.

Came here for a lecture on Particle Physics and I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who helped me find my way to the lecture hall. The building is beautiful and very interesting. I will most likely be attending several more lectures here! The physicist who lectured there also happily helped me and recommended me another physicist who could help a friend and I's Fusion research project!

A. Ma. Zing. We've been here many times now as my daughter is a member and we love each trip. This talk was riveting for each of our group, Kevin kept us all entertained and enthralled. The podcast is a fantastic listen too and will worth it. We can't wait to visit again.

Keep an eye out for events in this iconic & capitulating building. In the charming location of Mayfair, it still finds itself on a relatively quiet street in an incredibly central location.

Our children attended a learning experience, thoroughly enjoyed. Helpful pleasant team work here. Makes science feel interesting, fun and accessible. We will go again. We wondered if the team would consider outreach events beyond London?

Iconic Temple of Science and Critical Thinking. Never have I been disappointed there, nor should I think anyone would ever be! If you can catch a lecture or an event in the place where Faraday and many others changed the world, don't pass it by - you'd come out enlightened, one way or another.

Amazing experience at royal institution of science, today was a family fun day. There were young scientists, sharing their knowledge with the people from all kind of ages. Very good location, beautiful old building. We registered for upcoming events. Science, math, art and many other subjects can be learnt and improved here.

Went to the first Christmas Lecture of the season on Thursday for a school trip. Something I have wanted to do for ages! The RI staff were excellent, and the entire experience was great. Some great exhibits for Faraday and Young that I saw when queueing. Need to visit again to see the museum / exhibition properly.

Amazing venue and history! We saw Dr Karl here - such an interesting and extremely clever guy who had encyclopaedic knowledge of science! The most amazing thing is he reads about 20 journals a week to keep his knowledge up to date. How anyone can do that as well as doing shows and podcasts is beyond me!!!

One of the less well known museums in London. There's a small but interesting collection of scientific displays in the basement that's definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

What a fabulous discovery. I went here because I wanted to see Faraday's laboratory, which is reconstructed in its entirety in the basement, and that was definitely worth it. But if I'd had more time I would have explored more; there's clearly plenty to see, and no entrance fee, and it's quiet and largely uncrowded. Plus it had what looked to be a gorgeous caf with a big skylight. Yes please :)

I was sad I didn't have more time to spend reading the exhibitions, but there's a lot of history there, and standing behind the desk in the lecture theatre is a massive geek ego massage, even if no one is there to listen to you. I was there as part of a corporate function and so they put on teas, coffees and biscuits, and it was all seamlessly executed and efficient. An excellent venue to geek out in. If your company are in any kind of stem area, you'd be well advised to consider it as a venue for your team events.

I went to the royal institution for educational purposes and it was an honour to visit the work place of scientists like Rutherford and Darwin. My school and I came here for a l'oreal conducted science experiment series(there were two) which are high velocity eggs porter , in which we learn about car safety in a higher level and we build our own. Secondly we extracted our own DNA and put in a locket... This is a wonderful place and i recommend it to anyone who loves science absolutely!

This place keeps your grey cells working with innovative science presentations on current questions in science. Even if you think science is one of your weaker areas of knowledge you will get something out of an evening at the RI. All ages are welcomed. It also has a fabulous museum. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic about science as well. Yet to try out the café.

I fell in love with this place ( maybe the Christmas atmosphere in the area helped as well). It's very central , nested nearby the beautiful haute couture shops. The building is very spacious , interesting and pleasant. This is a great educational centre and I can't wait to follow and return for more events. This was our first visit attending the lecture of Dr. Kark Kruszelnicki ( seeing in the picture signing his books) If you are interested or have a child interested in science make sure you have this place on your radar.

This place is a place of pilgrimage for scientists and science enthusiasts. The site of many important scientific discoveries going back to Faraday’s discovery of electromagnetic induction and Rosalind Franklin’s pioneering work with X-ray crystallography and DNA. An excellent museum has many interesting and thoughtfully displayed artifacts to ogle. A cafe and a funky bar are available for meals and drinks. The best thing about the RIGB are the talks, discourses, family days, short courses and the world-famous Christmas Lectures for children. RIGB is a precious educational institution dedicated to bringing scientific knowledge to the lay community. Well worth becoming members.

Science comes to life for young and old in the elegant surroundings of the 18th century (I think) building. If you can't manage a talk or a children's workshop, pop in for coffee and look at various exhibits and the wall sized periodic table (try to keep up with the song reciting the elements!)

I love this place, we visited many evening science events with my 11 years old daughter; latest - meeting with Apollo's astronaut Alfred Worden was very interesting. Also summer school events for children are wonderful. The building is very beautiful and historical and the feeling that Rutherford, Maxwell, Faraday and other great scientists worked here makes you high.

The events they mount are excellent with a wide variety of science subjects and speakers. We attended a U3A event and had lunch there. The cafe seemed overwhelmed by the numbers and when our food arrived it was luke warm (hence the loss of a star). Strongly recommended despite the food!

Unbelievably rich in detail and clarity. Dripping with history and buzzing with the excitement of bleeding edge science, this place would be too exciting to handle except that it's simultaneously a quiet sanctuary in which to escape.
