I have had dental work and hygienist check ups at The Lodge Dental Practice for a couple of years. The practice staff are welcoming, helpful and curteous. Tim is friendly and professional. In my experience he combines the best way of fixing a problem with the most cost effective costing. Dentistry today is expensive but I always feel I get treated well and get the best value for money.

I moved to The Lodge about 2 years ago from another local private dentist. At that time, I could barely open my mouth outside as my teeth were so sensitive, and I found myself not smiling because of the colour of my teeth and a very dodgy crown at the front. I am delighted to say that I can't keep the smile off my face now. Tim started off by sorting out my sensitivity issues, then repairing and replacing some bad fillings, one requiring a root canal treatment. We then embarked on teeth whitening, before replacing my front crown for one that actually fits and is an amazing colour match. (Big thanks also to the team down in Hove who did a fantastic job matching the colour!) Like many people I have always been afraid of the dentist - this is no longer the case. I feel completely comfortable going to the dentist as I know that Tim would never do anything that wasn't required, and, believe it or not - he doesn't hurt! I cannot thank Tim and his wonderful team enough for giving me the confidence to smile once again!

I have only ever experienced amazing customer service and dental treatment from the team at The Lodge Dental. They are warm, caring and professional. Always making me feel relaxed when I've felt anxious about treatment. The reception team are very efficient and no query or question is too much for them, they're always so helpful. James has been unbelievably kind and supportive throughout my dental treatment and despite living in Tunbridge Wells I will continue to make the journey to receive the wonderful service The Lodge Dental team offer. I have recently completed some extensive dental work at this practice. Tim has totally cured me of my initial dental phobia with his calm manner and gentle and professional approach. I quickly put my faith in him as a brilliant dentist and was not disappointed. I am totally thrilled with the quality of work carried out and all without any pain. I can't recommend or thank Tim Earle and his team enough.
Having had an unstable jaw for over 20 years which caused pain and embarrassment when it locked open or shut. ????♀️ Not to mention the amount of money I have spent having chiropractic adjustments to help realigned it.
Tim refilled 3 back teeth which realigned my bite and stabilised my jaw

I can now eat anything I like and am totally pain free

My family and I have been with Tim since he took over the practice many years ago.
In all honesty it has always felt more like popping to visit a friend, rather than a dreaded dental appointment!
Tim is obviously very skilled at what he does and I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my families teeth, and that shows in his work, he has a knack of putting you at ease, making you feel both safe and confident in his presence.
In Tim's modern practice it is evident that he keeps up to date with current technology and procedures.
All in all, you cannot put a price on a reliable, trustworthy dentist, cannot reccomend highly enough.

Tim, the Dentist, and the dental nurse both stayed well past closing time to sort out a rotten molar that was causing a lot of pain. Went above and beyond, made me feel comfortable, showed compassion, and very importantly he saved my tooth :)

Tim is quite simply brilliant at what he does ! He did some clever cosmetic work following Invisalign straightening and the result is better than I could imagine. Tim was recommended to me by a friend, one of his patients and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. He has a great team around him too so it is always a good experience to go to the dentist !!!

My partner is an extremely anxious patient and at the age of 30 he found going to the dentist embarrassing and very overwhelming. From our first enquiry with the receptionist to the treatment with Tim, it's been such a breathe of fresh air. He is finally being treated and so far has not had any panic attacks before going, Tim has been and continues to be very understanding and considerate of his anxieties.

I joined Tim's practice in January this year, having been unlucky with my previous two dentists! I was, as are many, dental phobic and was very anxious to find another dentist who I could trust and who could put me at ease. Readers, I have now found that dentist!
As in many of his other reviews I cannot speak highly enough of the work done so far. During lockdown he was very supportive with a couple of problems I had been experiencing and took time out to call me to discuss the problems and to reassure. Fortunately Lodge Dental has now reopened and he has sorted out the various problems (including a state of the art new crown!). Would that I had found him several years ago.
As others have stated, he is super-talented, highly professional and clearly adores his work. It is almost - almost - a pleasurable experience and I can say that I no longer dread my dental appointments.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Best Dental Practice, by miles, that I have ever visited. I have historically been very nervous visiting the dentist but Tim Earl and his team are really friendly, chatty, welcoming and have totally won me over and put me at my ease every time I visit. I have been a patient at The Lodge for two and a half years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Tim is a highly qualified dentist and is just brilliant at communicating with patients and has been able to reassure me and made my dental treatment much less stressful. I can highly recommend Tim Earl and his practice to everyone.

Called Tim’s practice for an emergency filling and got an 8.30am next day appointment. As always Tim was professional and great fun to chat with ( mainly from him as my mouth was full of fingers and instruments!).

I have the misfortune of inheriting weak adult teeth not helped by a sweet tooth as a child. Countless appointments when younger gave me a bit of a phobia of dental care as an adult. With a bit of financial investment and an assessment from Tim/ his team, I feel much happier with my teeth now. We had a fantastic Harley Street dentist treating our family for some years, but the travel to his practice was getting to be a struggle. We searched Uckfield / Haywards Heath for a comparable dentist and after some time we found Tim. Forget Harley Street Tim is BRILLIANT! He is fully up to date with modern techniques, he has invested in the very latest equipment, the practice is clean and welcoming and the team are very knowledgeable and friendly. Visiting Tim is like going to see a friend who also takes great care of your teeth. You can trust him. If you are nervous about dental visits, or you just want the best treatment, go and see Tim.

Thank you Tim! Outstanding!! I was in despair after some very poor treatment by my previous dentist had left me with an extremely badly fitted crown and ill fitted bridge which resulted in very inflamed gums. I wanted to have an Implant but the recently but badly fitted crown needed to be rectified first. I needed a dentist I could trust. I googled local dentists and having read reviews of The Lodge made an appointment to see Tim. He was very understanding and reassuring that he could transform my teeth. He set out a clear treatment plan and has worked very hard and with great skill also rectifying other ill fitting crowns and fillings. I have now finished all treatment and am absolutely amazed at the outcome and will be forever grateful to Tim! Thank you to everyone at The Lodge for being so friendly and helpful.

Dr Tim Earl is an exceptionally talented and skilled Dentist whose professionalism and commitment to his patients leads to lasting relationships. He is technically brilliant, keeps abreast of all developments in the industry but also has a great sense of humour which helps make the whole experience a little less daunting. There is no other dental practice I trust to deliver to the same standard of care, and that is why, despite moving out of the area, I still retain The Lodge for all my dental needs and have done for the past 20 years at least. I am so very pleased to have made the decision to change Dentists and Tim was highly recommended to me .Having ended up with a mouth full of amalgam and an incredibly appalling crown (which Tim named the terminator) ... It has been a bit of a mission with all the dental treatment I required but well worth it in the end. I cannot thank Tim enough for all the excellent work he has done. I now have teeth that look like teeth again rather than resemble something out of an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.

Tim Earl is "THE BEST DENTIST IN THE WORLD!"
A sweeping statement some may think, but I am more than qualified to make it, as I have been around it's circumference...Twice! And visited many Dentists along the way, and none of them have matched up to Tim.
I have been coming to The Lodge for 12 years now, & each time I have needed work to be done, the results have exceeded all my expectations.
This time, I destroyed my own 6 front teeth, due to Vaping (Don't do it people!) and even though Tim tried to save them, the only way to go was 6 Front Crowns to be fitted.
Tim reassured me all the way that the outcome would be amazing.
And he meant it, as even though he knew I had driven 4 hours(Yes that's how good I think he is) to get them fitted, they were not, in his opinion, "Quite Right", so refused to fit them until the final tweaks he required had occurred.
INTEGRITY is Tim's middle name, he could have just popped them in & sent me on my way, but instead, refused to accept anything less than total Perfection.
My Forever smile is now a total joy & made me even more vain than I already was!! ;)
I should add that his Team of Lovely Ladies compliment Tim's work ethic, even during the first Lockdown, Nicole took the time to call me on her own time & on her own phone to check on me, as I had cracked a tooth & was feeling very low. Over & above excellent Customer Care & Going that extra mile...for sure..
Honesty, Respect, Generates Total Trust, Keeps Promises, Open Communication & a Talent & Artistry WAY beyond all other Dentists that I have ever seen.
I hope all your current residents still in Uckfield know what a total local treasure they have in 'The Lodge.'

I was very dental phobic, and a friend of mine recommended that I should register with the lodge, to which I was sceptical as I thought all dentists would be the same, how wrong I was! I now look forward to attending and no longer have any fear of the dentist at all! Tim is very friendly, and talkative, he makes you feel at ease, and I feel that he treats me as I was part of his family, his explanations of treatment needed and why it’s needed is outstanding, his communication skills are fantastic!! The only down now side is when my appointment has ended and I get told that I don’t need to be seen again for another 6 months because I actually look forward to going now!!

My journey through the world of dentistry has been both daunting and exceptional. For several years I was in the hands of Guys Dental department as my teeth have been 'troublesome' to say the least. When eventually I found Tim Earl and his lovely staff at the Lodge practice I knew straight away that I was in safe and understanding hands. Even with my mouthful of bent teeth, old crowns and several gaps, Tim has taken as much care as he would over a set of fine perfect teeth and has performed some clever practices to keep the inevitable approach of false teeth at bay. I could not recommend this Practice more highly. I am lucky enough to live nearby but I would hope to keep the Lodge Dental practice as my dentist if I had to travel many miles. Thank you Tim for your relaxed friendly but totally professional approach to your amazing dental talents

Having been the ultimate coward when the time came to visit a dentist, thanks to Tim, I no longer suffer those fears when arriving for my check-ups or 'maintenance' on my ageing teeth (yes plural!). Quite the reverse, I actually look forward to my visits to The Lodge, its relaxed atmosphere making it feel more like a social occasion; a good natter, a laugh and a joke or three.
