I went to the shop to repair a couple of chips on my windshield, I though I had to make and appointment for another day, but Austin was willing to repair them straight away.
He was absolutely helpful and professional, he did the job with care and he didn’t mind at all to explain me the procedure and replying all my queries.
I left the shop highly satisfy and pleased with his kind and polite manners.
I would be very happy to return any time and request his service. I wish all staff members in all shops were so profesional and pleasant to interact with.
He deserves a pay raise !!!

I've always received good service at this store. There have always been staff there to deal with me and always been helpful. The key man there who fixes the bikes is spot on. There's a good range of accessories too.

Kind staff, relatively quick service, friendly and helpful. Came to pick up a couple of fuses for my car, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Staff were willing to converse, and everybody stuck to social distancing guidelines. Great range of products, and wonderful service. Thank you Halfords staff

Ordered a click and collect car seat to the East Grinstead store which the confirmation stated would be ready 10 days later (a Friday)
10 days later, we called the store as we had not received confirmation it was ready to collect.
Amy confirmed it had been collected by the courier and she hoped it would be there Monday.
We called the following day to see if it had arrived, and it hadn't.
We called on the Sunday and was advised by a young boy he had no idea and to call Monday.
On Monday we spoke to Mel who said the car seat hadn't arrived. She spoke to the company who supply the car seat who said it was being collected today ... Should be with Halfords on the Wednesday... 15 days later than when we originally ordered it.
At least Mel called back to advise us but I wasn't very happy and asked if there was any compensation that could be given. She said they "would sort something out".
It arrived on Wednesday, and Mel called to confirm this so I said I would collect it that afternoon. I enquired about the compensation and she reluctantly said she would leave a gift card with the car seat when I collected it.
I went to collect the car seat and the service in the store was just awful. Noone smiled, noone cared I was looking for something I couldn't find. The cashier spent at least 30 seconds continuing his conversation before asking his colleague if he should serve me?
When I said I had a click and collect, he said, "is it that one?" ... No mention of an order number, my name or ID.
The outside of the store is so run down and doesn't look inviting or helpful at all.
I said I would put the screen wash in my car and pop back for the car seat (in the pouring rain) it might have been nice if he had offered to help me outside with it.
Won't be going to the East Grinstead store again, we'll stick to the Crawley store!
I would have given you 1 star if Mel hadn't been helpful!

Halfords in East Grinstead isn’t the largest Halfords but still offers a great range of product. You can order online as well and collect in store the following day. Good bike service area and friendly staff that always ask of your require any help and keep the store clean. Only a 4 instead of a 5 because of the size of store that can’t be helped.

My Boyfriend bought a bike from here on Sunday 28/07 and Austin was the person to serve us. We initially went to the Crawley store but they didn't have the right size so ended up in EG store. There was an issue with pricing between each store but Austin was fab and sorted the issue out with no worries. The other lady working in the store at the time was really lovely and kept us chatting while we were waiting for the bike to be ready.
Overall a brilliant service and will not hesitate to go back when ever we need something Bike related! :)

Today my wife visited the East Grinstead store to collect my son’s first bike (he was super excited)
Here is what my wife told me…
The staff made him feel so special. Chatting away to him, asking if he liked his bike and to look after it as it's a fantastic bike. The lady even talked to him about football because he had his Forest shirt on and she was a Millwall supporter. They really did make his first bike a special occasion and better yet, the staff helped me take it to the car.
Please pass this on to the staff at East Grinstead store. I cannot thank you highly enough for bringing such joy to my son.
