Product boxes broken. Staff unfriendly/unhelpful. We just wanted to buy a dashcam and get it wired in to the fuse box. They wanted to charge more money for fitting which included inserting the SD card?! The staff were rude and condescending. Don't go here unless you're buying car mats. That's all they do right.

After visiting Uckfield Halfords earlier this week needing a battery replacement I was served by a extremely helpful chap called Steve with excellent knowledge . After fitting the battery he also checked my oil and windscreen fluid . As a lady with limited knowledge of cars I am always afraid you will be exploited sold what you don’t need . Not a chance here at Uckfield Halford Thank you steve I will defiantly be back if needed

Excellent customer service from Sophie earlier today. We had bought a car seat a month ago from Halfords for an impending arrival and wasn't entirely sure if it was suitable. Sophie was genuinely outstanding in terms of understanding our concerns as first time parents and explained what we should be looking for and aware of. Even went as far as taking a look at how our current car seat was installed to make sure it was safe and done correctly. Highly positive experience!

Great service from Sophie and her team earlier today. Mt windscreen had a stone chip which needed repairing sooner rather than later. They managed to fit in both the assessment and repair without the need for an appointment. One of the team then wiped down my windscreen with a product which gave it a just-off-the-forecourt finish. Sophie and her team really did go the extra mile. Cheers guys!

Went in yesterday to have a dash cam fitted, had already made an appointment. Person who served me didn't really believe I had already paid for the fitting & price included SD card, couldn't be bothered to show me how to use it, based on this experience would never go back. Very disappointed. Normally good try & get Steve to serve you if possible.

Bought Yuasa motorcycle battery 16 mths ago, it failed last week with no warning. Took it back to Uckfield branch, they tested it and confirmed it was faulty. Told me only had 1yr warranty. They admitted they are not as good as they used to be! Nothing more they could do. Rang headoffice no help either said they would email me a 10% discount voucher I haven't had it. Rang Yuasa, they said they only warranty their batteries for 1yr so they don't have to deal with the warranty claims. So they obviously are not confident that their batteries are going to last more than a year. I will no longer buy a Yuasa battery.

I'd like to congratulate them on their discovery of wormholes, as that's where my click and collect order seems to have gone. I got a call to say that it had arrived, but when I went to collect it, they couldn't find it. Nor the following day. They didn't call back when they said they would. They offered to order it again after I rang to chase them, but it would arrive after I've gone on holiday, which is why I ordered it earlier. Very disappointed and will never use them again, especially after having to spend 3x as much on a courier to get it from somewhere else.

Staff issues at the till or when waiting at the till. The staff couldn't be more obnoxious. And how do they ALWAYS NOT SEEING YOU....DESPITE BEING THERE IN THEIR FACES!!!! Beat me every time!!!

Loved the bike we bought for my son, didn't like the £100 parking fine we got while waiting for the bike to be set up. Never noticed that the carpark had a 90 minute limit on it, would have been nice if the staff had flagged that up when they said "we can sort it while you wait". I wonder how many others have been caught out by the clandestine landlord trap. Not Happy!

So bad we wanted a roof rack for 3 bikes. So the first rack they said will fit , nope didn't fit so they said the other rear mounted one would fit but it cost £25 more of course. We left for another 30 min and yet again it didn't fit so they said the roof mounted one would fit this time £100 more they gave us everything we needed or so we thought. We took it home to fit our self but of course it didn't because they didn't give us or tell us we needed a different fitting point for my car. We then went back and they looked and said ah yes you need a fitting point that's was another £40 . After waiting for it to come in stock we went a got it and then after a hour of fitting the rear bar they assured us would fit then was too big so we have to go back again and get another one of the right size no doubt it will cost more. So we are very very disappointed in the service if you can even call it that and the total lack of expertise.

I've used the Uckfield branch of Halfords for several years and they've always been excellent. There a chap called Steve there who is so helpful and is the best ambassador any company could have. Today must have been his day off as I received the very worst of customer care, so much so I walked out. I went in to buy some lights for my bike and spent about 10 minutes looking as the stock. The assistant who was leaning on the countet talking into a radion headset saw me but didnt acknowledge me or make any effort to enquire if I needed help. There was no one else at that end of the shop. After several minutes I decided that help wasn't forthcoming and headed for the exit. On the way I saw something I needed so picked it up and headed for the till. I stood there 7 minutes before an assistant appeared. He'd been talking to the only other customer in the shop. He walked to the till, no eye contact with me, no smile, no " sorry to keep you waiting" , so I said " about time too!" . He still said nothing, grabbed the item from me and scanned it. I just looks at him and he eventually made eye contact and told me not to be rude. At this point I walked out . If anyone from Halfords takes the trouble to read this I'd like to hear what you have to say.
