Timothy has been helping our son to prepare for his A-level chemistry exam. He found the lessons extremely helpful . Timothy was always punctual. He is very knowledgeable and methodical. He was able to answer any questions off the cuff. My son found him very approachable and liked his teaching style. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone trying to improve their grades of just trying to stay on top of the subject. We can`t thank him enough.

Really awful.
You find the tutors and then they contact you. Which all worked well. Then to arrange a first lesson or to speak to them you have to buy the contact details for £22.
It says that you get a free lesson but with whom? What happens if the person is not a very good teacher or if they sound like a complete weirdo on the phone.
We were looking for a teacher for our child so the idea of just inviting anyone into our home was just not going to happen.
Then there was this feature that if a tutor looked at your post they would send you a text. Why????
Half the tutors I contacted just said they were only available via Skype!!!!!!
Is it a scam?
We gave up in the end, there are easier ways to try and find a tutor, any hints gladly taken!!

Tutor Hunt was very easy to use and we found the perfect tutor for my 15 year old who just needed that extra confidence in her favourite subject. I would recommmend especially after trying other sites and not getting anywhere. Plus their online classrooms are easy for all to use.

Tutor hunt was a website I found where you choose what subjects you want to study and select which tutor you want. Depending on your area or online there are a vast amount of tutors to choose and tutors can contact you directly. The payment system is really efficient and works well. I'd recommend anyone to use tutor hunt.

Our daughter has been having lessons with Lili for around five weeks now. Lili is organised, always on time, her lessons are focused on our daughter`s specific learning needs. Additionally, Lili will email us following every lesson with a full detailed outline of everything that has been covered, what our daughter is good at and what she needs more help with. And, homework as well. Would wholeheartedly recommend Lili.

This is the worst company I have worked for as a tutor.
1. Their premium account did not work as stated in the description. And I mean the technical side. It was a complete waste of money
2. Tech support either responds very slowly or does not respond at all
3. I could not withdraw the money from the account because my "residency had to be confirmed". I sent the confirmation, but there was no response from the tech support. So I just removed my account.

Tutor Hunt put us in touch with a fabulous tutor who is knowledgeable, personable and fantastic with my A level student daughter. We feel so lucky to have found him. The process of finding a tutor was simple with Tutor Hunt and we receive regular reminders before tutor sessions. Even with COVID restrictions we have been able to arrange online tuition which has been great.

Annabel is fantastic tutor. I booked her to come and do a few French and Latin sessions over half term as my son (aged 11) has moved schools and is not at the same level as the other students. My son said she made Latin fun, which is the best compliment you can get from a child. I would throughly recommend her. She is prepared for the sessions and discusses with you where your child is at and what they are currently learning and tailors the sessions. She engages with my son in a way he likes to learn.

My daughter Ellie, finished taking her 3rd Maths O level (resit) paper today. We booked 2 lessons per week with Emily for the last 4 weeks. Excellent platform for finding a tutor. I chose some tutors and sent enquiries - most responded quickly. Felt a little overwhelmed when lots of other tutors also emailed me but I went with one of the original tutors I had selected and he is really great. Professional with excellent subject knowledge (A Level Physics) and my son likes him - could not be happier!

So far my daughter has had two French lessons from a tutor on Tutor Hunt. She is a wonderful teacher and explained everything really well. She is very clear, professional and patient. Reece has been absolutely phenomenal as my son’s tutor. He’s friendly, warm, professional and incredibly knowledge; not only about his subjects but the exam board marking systems and their requirements. He’s instilled confidence, motivation and inspiration in my son. The progress i’m seeing has surpassed expectations and I’m even seeing my chilled (lazy!) 17 year old demonstrate initiative and time management :) The feedback and critical appraisal Reece gives at the end of each session is invaluable and so informative. It’s really help me as a parent to support my son whilst he studies. Cannot recommend Reece highly enough

Do not tutor with this company. They charge £70 for a DBS check before even allowing you to tutor with them.The company takes a large 25% on all tutoring lessons as well, and charge more for top listing on their website. Parents are also then charged to buy contact details of tutors.
This company is clearly just making money out of their tutors and parents who want to connect with tutors.

I have found both Athena and Tutor Hunt perfect for my needs to learn conversational Greek. Athena is lovely, quite reserved, but a patient and good teacher. I am only sorry that our lessons have been curtailed, but look forward to renewing the tuition as soon as I can. The T.H. website took a bit of getting used to, but the system has worked well for me. Maddy has been providing online tuition in English and Geography (GCSE) to my daughter (Year 10). The quality of lessons is exceptional and the planning and delivery very clear and detailed. The lesson plans and post lesson write ups are extremely detailed and clear and this helps with the follow up and ability to sink the subject matter in further with my daughter. This is already paying dividends and having a two fold impact for my daughter 1) Increased understanding of the subject and the context of it 2) Increased confidence and ability to ask the right questions and believe she can do it! Madeleine is a very strong communicator, reliable, organised and professional at all times. This is shown in the clear communications during initial discussions about the service through to the lessons and follow up - all fantastic, I can`t speak highly enough. Obviously during this lockdown period there are inevitable challenges with normal schooling but Maddy has been an invaluable help - whilst I was a little nervous about online lessons this has been completely unfounded because of Maddy - In fact my daughter is gaining at least as much out of these lessons as she does 1:1 at school.

Tomisin is a great tutor! I was struggling to pass my P1 exam, she went through a few key areas and broke them down to simple formats so I could understand them and have confidence answering the questions when they came up in the exam. Carine is a fantastic French tutor. Over the course of a year my French has improved dramatically, especially my pronunciation and conversation skills. Conversation has been really useful, especially as Carine is a native French speaker and can immediately correct any errors or mistakes. The lessons have been relaxed, enjoyable and well structured. Highly recommended!

I found my Son’s tutor through the Tutor hunt website. The website is great and easy to use. Katharina is preparing my 10 year old for the 11+ and teaching me German at a beginner level. She is punctual, very organised and knowledgeable besides being also fun and very engaging. My son is making very good progress with her lessons and I’m deeply enjoying my language lessons. I couldn’t recommend her more.

Keiran has been really good with my son. Lots of good communication with him and us . Always on time and stays over the hour . My son is really happy with his teaching and finds him really easy to get along with and he explains everything in a way my son understands. He’s also been happy to be contacted before the lesson if there’s a problem my son needs explaining , so can forward plan . He’s very pleasant and is easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to take physics.

I need a tutor for my daughter for triple science in the summer holiday and found Jeremy. We are lucky to have found such an enthusiastic, informatic, and friendly tutor. He has a strong work ethic and professional attitude. He is always well prepared for every lesson and always puts his all into lessons. When there is something you don`t understand, he makes sure to explain it until you do. He gave questions to push my daughter to another level. I would recommend him.

Michelle, from Tutor Hunt, is an excellent tutor. My son`s confidence in both English Language and Literature has improved immensely since he began his weekly sessions with her. His analysis and inference skills are developing well and most importantly, he is enjoying his sessions. This has had a direct impact on his English grades at school and his English teacher has noticed a change in his attitude and application. I have been especially impressed with the way Michelle has helped my son with exam technique. He now has a much better idea of how to approach an exam question and the skills the examiners are looking for. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

From a parental point of view, I`ve never seen my daughter so excited about showing me Maths that she is so pleased she suddenly understands! Worth every penny. From a student point of view, my daughter describes Kelly as `awesome`! She loves the way Kelly teaches, she says Kelly is very subtle ensuring she understands the various subjects by asking questions before moving on. Kelly is very patient, supportive and extremely enthusiastic about her subject! On the whole, I am currently very confident that with the additional support of Kelly`s tutoring my daughter will build on her knowledge, skills and confidence with Maths and go into her GCSE in May 2021 knowing she will get the result she wants.
