I never leave public reviews, but this experience was SO POOR I felt compelled to warn others of the exceptionally bad service provided between Wayfair & XDP. Useless tracking, no clear way of resolving the issue between Wayfair or XDP and when items finally turned up they were missing key parts for installation, had been left in the rain overnight and had not been signed for. Boxes were completely soaked and damage. Lastly the XDP driver got into a heated argument with a resident. No form of compensation offered whatsoever, and while the customer service at Wayfair was very polite and helpful, they refused to take responsibility for any issues. Incredibly poor.

I've personally bought quite a few pieces of furniture from Wayfair including child bed, dinning table, chest of drawers etc. They have a wide range of products and prices, you can always find something that specific to your needs; the customer services were friendly and quick, always assuring, resolved some of my backdated problems too. However, you will need to look and choose carefully from the sea of items and suppliers. The missing one star is for wayfair to put better quality control on it's all furniture suppliers and a bit more professional on their delivery company they chose. Wayfair did the job for me and I am satisfied in general with the customer service received as well.

Very poor customer service I did oder 3 mattress one of the single came but the 2 king size was missing and still didn’t solve my problem even they pic up the phone if you go to the sales team only very hardly but exiting Odets no answer calls or no any updates or no any contact or anything please don’t go with them anymore very very poor customer service...and don’t wast your money and don’t wast your times 3 months without mattress I’m having a sleep everyday they says we will do the investigation and sent you like that but still no answers ...????????????????????????

Appalling experience with Wayfair. My friend who is disabled needs a single bed badly. The bed frame was ordered on 26th March and it was not delivered until this morning 1st April 2020 after several complaints. What is worst, the delivery men had delivered only one piece of the bed frame without Wayfair knowing about it. I immediately asked for return and refund. They even instructed the Collection agent to collect two pieces!! Their organisation and management is appalling. They never leave any telephone number for contact or complaint.

Ordered two things and both came really quickly, mostly happy with product. Only things that were disappointing are the styrofoam made so much mess, and a part (pole) was the wrong way around. Making it not look perfect but still did the job. Price of both was really good so overall it was good and happy.

Disappointed with Wayfair CS team after issue with first order placed with Wayfair UK - Disappointed with Wayfair first order. Chose to go with word of mouth review for Wayfair, Ordered office chair couple of weeks back, received it last week, assembled it but few issues found. 2-3 threads are out. Even found lints/bobbles on fabric. its not even tag removed yet as brand new chair. With more disappointment, while called customer service - just advised dismantle it, pack it we will replace or refund if I wish. And it will take 3-4 weeks of even collection. I told to collect as it is assembled as it's time consuming as well as heavy chair and no packaging material around. but no such Wayfair policy to collect full chair without dismantle it - as per CS. I went through reviews but now realized 2 out of 3 reviews on Wayfair site for the item are from wayfair's neighbours program which is more disappointing. Customer service response was very annoying and showing no empathy or flexibility. If I chose refund options its long process and hold up for furniture in home plus dismantling and packing. Replacement will take 3-4 weeks (21st May collection of faulty item and 26th May replacement item to get delivered). Required to call again to customer services. CS rep looks OK initially and discussed all possible option for resolution patiently but upon asking for write me everything in email then I found very limited info in diplomatic manner been sent on email compare to what discussed. From my two experiences and to avoid disappointment - please don't keep expectations high while having some service/goods issue with Wayfair. I have asked for someone from management to go through the details and contact me. Now let's see how it goes. Not a good over all experience. Disappointed customer. Hope someone from management will spare time to listen to my two calls to CS Team, read my review on product page and will go through email-ticket details as well to respect and value customers' time spent more than money. I updated customer review on third party review website. Surprisingly wayfair responded there before their own CS query and ticket I raised but responce was same pre-draft email unfortunately. Update after I was being asked to provide order details on other review website. - I called CS team twice. I raised ticket for investigation and call back from management. I sent them photos of goods. I wrote product review on Wayfair website 3 days back which is still not live on their product page. Now they are responding as below to report via 'my account'?? Any logic there? I am supposed to be updated by their team and management. Wrote email in response to their initial email which was with very limited information. Waiting for response. I emailed them and one CS agent again responded with same pre-draft kind of email. I asked whether anyone listened calls? Read my review for product? Or my email or ticket request for management involvement and again no response yet. I can see all reviews been acknowledged by Wayfair on Google only with one draft message and not expecting more than that for my review as well. But in case if one google user or potential Wayfair customer feel my review is helpful I will be happy.

Bought a desk from Wayfair last week as it advertised free next day delivery. Once ordered, the delivery date changed to this Tuesday (tomorrow). I hadn't head anything from them nor their courier (XPD) today, so I thought I would contact them on their live chat. The rep told me that my desk had been damaged in transit and returned to the depot... without letting me know! They said that I could wait until the middle of May for it to be restocked or they could refund me. I chose to be refunded. As I am in desperate need of a new desk, I found another one and ordered that. It's expected to be here this Thursday. Let's hope it arrives.

I had no notification from the courier XDP as to when they were delivering my furniture and I was only notified when my sofa was delivered to the wrong house (l received a lovely photo of another house in the street) and told I wasn’t in!!!! Then when the furniture was returned to the XDP depot it promptly went missing, when I rang Wayfair and explained what had happened and then subsequently rang on a daily basis enquiring about my missing furniture I was given a different explanation as to what was going to happen next! After a week of being misled I received an email from Wayfair stating a customer representative was ‘on the case’ and within 4 days they would investigate and contact me regarding my furniture - the next day my furniture was delivered however am still waiting for the representative to contact me!!!! Absolutely appalling shoddy service from Wayfair and XDP one of their chosen couriers. Prospective customers beware, I would not recommend anyone purchasing anything from this company! I certainly won’t be!!!!!!!!

Then only when contacting them about why it hadn't arrived was I told the item couldn't be delivered (no explanation given as to why). Misleading information. Terrible customer service. We've ordered from The Range etc and never had this kind of experience. I will definitely never use Wayfair again!

We've had a few items from Wayfair now and although it's a bit of a mixed batch over quality, most items we've had have been decent and the prices are reasonable. I personally have experienced good customer service from Wayfair when an item of mine was stolen on delivery.

Don't trust Wayfair to refund your money! Wayfair processed a refund without consultation to an old bank account that was no longer active. The bank returned the money to Wayfair but their accounts team refused to see this as an unprocessed refund. To date, I've wasted hours of time trying to resolve this issue and I've still not got the money! Very poor customer service, despite this complaint being escalated to the management team. Perhaps they will respond more quickly the more of these reviews I write. It looks like I'm not alone complaining on here. I wonder if anyone at Wayfair actually cares what people think of their brand? Update: Despite the comment below, left by an eager digital PR executive, this issue has not been resolved or passed onto any internal teams. I've called multiple times since my original post and I keep getting the same response: 'We will look into this and call you back' and then nothing. I have had another response telling me that the issue has been resolved, but sadly it isn't and I'm still waiting for a refund. I reiterate for your future prospective customers - DO NOT EXPECT TO GET A REFUND FROM WAYFAIR. SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Awful experience using wayfair , will never buy anything from them again and would warn others not to use them! I ordered a bed and mattress for next day delivery in 6th April , bed arrived- mattress didn’t. Then when I started assembling the bed a main piece was missing-the footboard was missing. I called wayfair and the lady said she would get the footboard sent out to me by Friday (9th) I was disappointed as have no bed and sleeping on sofa, but understand these things happen. I then get a text on Thursday saying my footboard will arrive on Tuesday the 13th April!! So that’s left me with no bed for a week. They could have sent me a new bed and it would have arrived 24hrs later! I then discover there are 2 screw plugs also missing but no point in asking wayfair for them as who knows when they’d arrive, so I had to order some from Amazon. I complained and received £25 compensation.....doesn’t really make up for the absolute stress and sleep deprivation not having a bed has caused. To top it off they have done something on my order page so I can’t leave a review on their website, so I can’t even warn others not to purchase bed. I am awaiting delivery from Hermes for my footboard! Honestly , avoid this company at all costs!!

Terrible customer service and delivery. Only delivered 1 box out of 2 and to the wrong address. Then when try to speak to them get a continual please wait 1 business day, every time I answer a question which they ask piecemeal it's 1 day before another question. Wish I too had seen these reviews as wouldn't have ordered off them had I seen them. Hopefully eventually I get box 2 but from their latest estimate it will have been at least 2 months since the order date. Would avoid using at all costs

If I could give them a negative star I would. Been trying to return a chair (not even out of its packaging) as I got another chair from work. It's been 3 months, multiple calls to different customer care representative every time, and this chair has still not been picked up. Everytime I call the customer care team I am told someone's coming to pick up this chair from UPS, or they've set up new return instructions and the chair will be picked up the next day. BUT NOTHING.I have a series of emails from them apologising and assuring that this time the chair will definitely be picked up. BUT NOTHING. Never ever buying anything from Wayfair thanks to the amount of lies and hassle these guys have caused over the last few months. Complete harassment.

WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE E V E R Avoid disappointment and time wasted. I will not make this a long review just because I don't want them to take one more minute of my time: I ordered a Desk. Estimated delivery 1 week after placing the order. The item was delayed. After countless times in the customer service chat and many days, they decided to send a new one, because the previous order got misplaced. THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH THE SECOND ORDER. By this time, the've already charged my card with the desk (the minute I placed my order) I got the desk 1 month after placing the original order and OF COURSE it's damaged. Obviously not wasting more time and I didn't even complain. The don't deserve to be in business. Ah! And the quality is the cheapest I have ever seen! £89 for the cheapest looking desk I have ever owned.

I Purchased £860.00 worth of goods from wayfair.. They sent a text telling me when goods a scheduled be delivered, they let their standards fall below average for leaving items outside the house without ringing the bell in order to let us know our items were delivered it's common decency. Covid shouldnt be used as an excuse since distancing and masks are being practiced nationwide found the goods outside I was surprised. I don't know any company that does that not Amazon not phase8 not even Hermes. Theyve claimed the majority of items are delivered. Whoever they use to deliver to their customers they should cease because its reflecting badly on the company. Goods in goods out. I will never order from wayfair ever again. I'm so full of disappointment. Still waiting for items they said they delivered in this fashion.

Absolutely atrocious experience with Wayfair. I wish I’d seen these reviews before I purchased something from them. The chair (as advertised on the website) vs the other image below which is what they delivered. The cardboard box was badly damaged and missing the instruction manual. It was obvious that this was a previously returned item that was re-despatched to another customer. The quick chat facility on their website was a waste of time. Finally managed to get through to someone on the phone where I asked for a partial refund or credit towards a future purchase. (£122.97 was the price of the chair). I was told that Wayfair “no longer offer goodwill gestures” under any circumstances, NO exceptions. Absolutely disgusted with Wayfair and looking through the comments from other customers below there appears to be no connection or link between the PR agency or digital media team responsible for responding here and the customer service team presumably elsewhere. This rendered the standard/generic apologies and replies on here utterly meaningless.

Real mess of a company. Don't risk having any dealings with them. Firstly the product looks great on pics and then what's delivered is a completely different story. Delivery shows as delivery to the choice of your room. That's not true. They will dump it at the front door. If you live in a block of flats you need to bring it upstairs yourself. Don't do Barclays 0% finance with them. I'm surprised Barclays wants to partner with them because this partnership is damaging their reputation. Wayfair has no control over the distribution and logistics of the delivery. Barclays will setup a loan no matter if the product is actually delivered or not. So if you try to cancel you have to wait until its delivered and then request to take it back. In the meantime you have a direct debit to pay for something that was cancelled weeks ago, hasn't been delivered and in fact if it gets delivered it will be returned anyway. I've had a really poor experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. 1 star is for the customer service on the phone who are very nice but realistically can't do anything.

UPDATED on 9 Sept 2020: Wayfair had promised via Twitter that the outstanding item would be dispatched on 8 September. Not a surprise but no notice of dispatch! ORIGINAL REVIEW: 2 months for a wardrobe..... I ordered a wardrobe from Wayfair on 12 July 2020. A couple of weeks later on 4 August I received 4 boxes but the third box was from another item of furniture. A replacement was then sent which I received 2 weeks later. When I opened the box there was a panel broken in the middle. I ordered a replacement panel and last night 1 September 2020 I was informed that the panel I was supposed to receive this week has been delayed to a new dispatch date of 12 September 2020! I have today sent a message giving a deadline of 18 September 2020 to provide the outstanding panel otherwise the order is cancelled. I had to chase up Wayfair customer services each time through the app. With each query I would receive several messages from agents some helpful some asking for invoice number and emails. I'm guessing the procedures aren't very robust and some agents are avoiding looking into the issue by gatekeeping the queries by asking for information they already have (other agents did not request the same info). Late night their app doesn't work very well and is slow. Do not trust the estimated delivery dates. Do not trust the integrity of their quality control procedures.

I placed an order for garden trough and cancelled 10 minutes later as was not suitable. Was told too late to cancel you will have to wait until delivered and then return. So was charged for delivery and collection in spite of being returning customer. An appalling con. Will never use this company again.

I bought a coat rack and put it together wrong and then couldn't undo the bit that was in the wrong place. I contacted Wayfair requesting to purchase a replacement bit and they sent me a whole new coat rack free of charge and told me to keep the original one. I have only purchased a few times but have been pleased with delivery times and customer service.

To be fair to Wayfair, I should now add that they did not charge me the return cost of this last item, and my last conversation with a very efficient young lady in Customer Service has restored some faith in them. Thank you. I bought a couple of items last year from Wayfair and had a good experience. I must have been very lucky, as since then nothing but trouble. I'm not someone who generally complains but my experience with Wayfair has got me fuming, and I do feel I must have some customer rights. All I am wanting is to be treated fairly. Their Customer Service is absolute rubbish - they do not care. I received an item which was not the same as the picture - even the girl on the phone agreed with me, but when I sent a picture she confirmed it was the item I had ordered - despite it being different from the picture (?) so I would be responsible for return cost. There is the next issue, apparently I have to wait in for 3 days as UPS won't be letting me know when they arrive! How can you run a business and treat customers this way? My awful experience with Wayfair a few weeks ago, also was the same with returning items. I agreed a specific day with Wayfair for Hermes to collect as I knew I'd be here. Hermes didn't arrive. Nor did they the next day, nor the next day. I was about to drive several miles to a collection point when Hermes coincidentally came to drop off another parcel (not from Wayfair) and the driver told me that I wasn't and never had been on their system for a collection. I asked Wayfair to consider crediting my account with the delivery charge (nearly £10) but they said they had a blanket "no gesture of goodwill" policy. In this day and age of internet shopping they must be the worst company to deal with and I do not understand their total disregard for their customers. There is no flexibility with them, and their statement that all their staff seem to say: "we will try to resolve this" are just meaningless and empty words they read off their screen.

Had a truly disappointing experience! My item was shipped to the wrong address. After tiring conversations on their "quick chat" (which wasn't quick at all), I was assured that it would be delivered to the correct address within a week. A week goes by and I receive an email in which the address noted is still wrong. I immediately email them to correct this and they once assure me it will will be delivered to the right address. The following day I get an email from the courier saying the item was delivered TO THE SAME WRONG ADDRESS! I now have to wait another week for my item which means that the "express delivery" for which I had paid was completely worthless. Last time I will purchase anything from them. Not worth the hassle of dealing with this incompetence.

Wish I had looked at these reviews before ordering my item. The delivery company that they use is enough for you to stay away! First I got the message that the item would be delivered on Wed between 3 and 5pm. Took the afternoon off and nothing came. Thursday (today) they called me at 9:30am and said they would be here in 5 minutes! Had to get my husband to go home as he was closest. The delivery man refused to even help bring it inside the building, never mind the door of our flat! Had I been home, would he had expected a very pregnant woman to carry 2 very large and heavy boxes to my flat? My husband had to carry it up without any help and without a trolley. I don't expect the delivery to be all the way inside but at least to our front door! Do I have to live in a house to get a door service? In comparison, Argos delivered their very large delivery right to the room we asked them to. Never had any issues with other delivery companies before this one! Will be looking into other companies for our furniture needs!

Ordered a very cheap love seat for my bay window. It arrived quickly (within 3-4 days) on the date that the website said it would be arriving. It's actually decent quality for the price and the photos were accurate. I also emailed customer service about an issue with my online account and they responded within an hour or so and the person emailing was very helpful. I was a little worried about using this company for the first time after reading some of the other google reviews but they seem to be fine.

Really unreliable. Two items I ordered were cancelled by them from my order. They claim the warehouse did not have the items -which were open box items that had been opened before and were slightly cheaper. Apparently they have to manually remove items from the website when they go out out of stock, and items don’t automatically remove from your bracket once they are out of stock. I contacted them asking if they could add one of the items, which was in stock online but brand new, not out of box stock, back onto my order and that I’d pay the full price. They wouldn’t do that. If I ordered it again, it wouldn’t qualify for free delivery as it was under £40, so I asked if they could provide free delivery seeing as I’d spent over £300 on my original order. They would not do this. I asked if I could speak to a manager and received an email the following day from a manager with a chunk of their policies copied and pasted, which didn’t even slightly give me an answer. I replied back and was contacted again saying that it was not in their policy to provide free delivery. Really disappointing for such a big company to not even provide free delivery because of their own/their stockists mistakes. If I didn’t have to pay for returning the remaining £260 worth of items from them, I would.

Awful customer experience. I order an item that is in stock with est delivery in 4 days, because I’m in a hurry. They take my money and confirm it dispatched the following day. 2 weeks later I chase the courier who knows nothing about it, and then I proceed to have one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. Zero communication except for templated replies...literally lying to me about it no longer being in stock instead of just being honest that they messed up. I was promised a response and then the order was just cancelled with zero communication...I’m absolutely fed up. Shop with Wayfair at your own risk, this experience was dreadful. I’m only giving one star because zero is not an option

The items delivered where decently priced and decent in quality so far. However, I have rated it as 1* because of the treatment of my disabled mother by the delivery people. The delivery came in two batches, in the first one the delivery people left the delivery outside the block, and drove away without helping my mother bring the items up. In the second batch they left the stuff downstairs and didn't even ring the door bell. I called Wayfair and they remained adamant that it was appropriate to leave the things outside the block, without knocking the door. Super disappointed.

absolute criminals, made an order for 2 desks for £600 for some reason my order was not sent out and had to be rescheduled. after waiting almost a month, I finally decide to cancel my order the very next day they send me one desk after I have requested a refund. they are so dodgy I had them email to confirm the cancelation as I did not trust them and somehow they sent me one desk which I obviously declined. terrible company and the most incompetent staff I have ever come across.

Their delivery companies that they use are useless, and can't deliver anything on time. They can't find the mattresses we order last week, we are still waiting for 3 boxes out of a four box delivery, and their delivery drivers just lie saying that the parcel has been delivered. And when I called them to ask why they have accepted my orders and taken payment, then cancel it a couple of days later. Absolutely horrible service - different people keep on telling different things. One day delivery has turned into an over a week and no delivery time is confirmed. They dispatched part of what the order and the remaining is in limbo. Service reps keep on feeding me contradictory info and don't even bother making it up for their mistakes. Do not buy here!

Always judge a company by how they deal with a bad situation. I ordered pans and one came slightly mis-shaped, they offered me a part refund. Ordered a desk that got stuck in customs (EU shenanigan's) they are sending me one direct from their UK warehouse. Cant fault the company.

Absolutely appalling service from Wayfair. I was meant to receive a product on the 25th of November and nearly a month later I'm still waiting. The original delivery address was my work place, but I changed it to my home address on 3 separate occasions. On all 3 occasions Wayfair failed to let the courier company know. I had to track down the courier myself to ask my the address hadn't been updated, he (and no-one else at DHL) had any record of this happening. When I called to complain now, they told me that they would cancel the delivery and I would have to wait another month for my product... Thankfully I've been in touch with DHL myself, and they seem to have made amends for Wayfair's utter incompetence. The fact that I have had to go through so much hassle to get a product that has already been paid for is ridiculous. You'll notice that all of Wayfair's responses to negative reviews are exactly the same... This leads me to think they actually don't read these complaints or take them seriously... I have been contacting their offices for the last 2 months now and it's the same story every time, so contacting some more (as requested by the automated response) really won't change anything. Absolutely abysmal service.

Avoid, good online scamming.. Don't even believe them looking after all the items on their website. They just load as many items as possible on their website without even knowing about their suppliers stock. They asked me to wait for 8 weeks and later after chasing them continuously said me a part is missing (which i see all the ppl had same routine reason) and cancelled my order without any notice. Initially it was said to be delivered in 8 days. No one bothered to call me till date about why it was delayed, why it was cancelled etc. I have to chase them all the time. They said had refund the money and its been 2 weeks still haven't received it. I should have read the reviews before i purchased my 1st order and will never order from bogus way fair again. no wonder why this had such worse reviews. its been painful with Wayfair.

Ordered and had expected delivery for the 28th of Aug, nothing happened. We called and made an official compliant. Nothing happened, after many chats and finally calls were told it would get sorted that day. Next day we wake up to and get an update that it’s been dispatched and should be expected at 10, it’s now almost 3 and 3 calls later with support, nothing is here. Customer service staff very nice, company policies and suppliers horrible. Avoid dealing with them at all cost!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Wayfair have been appalling. I had received a discount code which required me to approx. over £120. I purchased a number of items one of which had been lost in transit. They then advised they would be issuing me another one that was due to arrive in 2 months!! Instead I decided to cancel the item but instead of offering me a full refund (22.99), they removed the whole discount(12.50) from the cost of the item and an additional (1.50) just to stress me out! So now I am left with a refund of (8.99). What a joke!!!!! I would have expected them to either remove the discount on a pro rata basis or as a good will gesture to let me bloody keep the discount. Instead I said I wanted a refund for all the items and now they are expecting me to pay for it!! I haven't felt this angry and frustrated at a retailer in a very long time. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Ordered a bed a few days ago and due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel. Not only was the process easier than ordering but my money was refunded within a few hours. Very well done and a credit to a large online retailer.

I had bought some dining chairs from this company a year or more ago and was not impressed by the quality. But I needed some CD shelving and surprisingly there was little available online that looked half decent. Went for this product and thought I would give the company a second chance. The price was perhaps a little high compared to something similar from say IKEA. The packaging was good and the product looked ok. But when I got the main frame together and started putting in the shelves it quickly became apparent that the gap in the central section of three was wider than the two outside sections. As a result, the shelves would not fit properly. Which was not aided by the fact that the shelves were secured in place by a bracket with a pin that went into a hole under the bottom of each shelf. It took me me 3 hours to build something that should have taken 1 hour at most and the finished product has unsightly gaps at the edges of the middle shelves. About three of the shelves are barely held in place so I just have to hope that they won’t collapse under the weight of the CDs. This would simply never happen with an IKEA product. One has to wonder if the entire run of this product has the same problem: logically it must if the shelves were all machine drilled. Filled with CDs it looks ok and the gaps are not really noticeable save perhaps to a trained eye. But I would not buy from this company again. And other reviews here of self-build product appear to confirm my own conclusions. One last gripe, I am afraid. The website is incredibly slow to load and clunky and days after delivery the above purchase does not even appear as a completed order in my account. Also, I did not receive an email asking me for feedback. Had I done so there might have been no need for me to register my displeasure here. All in all, I think even two stars might be over generous. It’s interesting that the company seems only to respond to reviews of two stars or less.

Would give zero stars if I could. They have an interesting selection of products but worst delivery and customer service I have seen. Had 3 deliveries of a TV stand, all broken or with half the parts missing. Deliveries are left all over the place rather than to the doorstep. Customer service just speak in a friendly tone but completely useless. Shame that I already ordered a few items and wasted money on this company.

Just moved and placed the first of my planned orders that was cancelled the next day without reason. Called support and they eluded to it possibly being incorrect billing info but couldn't say exactly what it was. There was a typo in my name that I fixed which may have been the cause? (Who knows?) Tried again 24 hours later with updated details, order was cancelled within 30 minutes, no reason given, again. Tried 2 more times with other payment methods, both cancelled, without reason. Called support again and was told the account was under investigation and that I should be contracted within 2 business days. They suggested creating a new account of I wanted to order sooner. Created second account and used a new payment method, not used on the previous account. The order was cancelled within 30 minutes without reason, again. Girlfriend attempted the order on her account... cancelled again, without reason. Absolutely ATROCIOUS experience. Will be taking my money elsewhere.
