I completed my cbt, cbt enhanced, then did my theory and hazard perception. All through shires motorcycle training.
Flew through the mod 1 then took the mod 2.
Failed Mod 2. Did it again after 2 weeks and passed today. 24.7.19
Just want to say thank you so much for the training and support. Especially Dan, Dan, Pete, Roger, Ian, and above all Teresa for doing the admin and Tom for taking my hard earned money.
Looking forward to completing my enhanced riders course soon.

The shires motorcycle training in my opinion is the best and only choice for were you should train to ride a motorcycle I have used them every time and there staff are amazing the training is unbeatable the teach you all you need to know about road safety maintenance of your motorcycle and everything in between anyone and everyone who wants to ride should train with this amazing group of instructors

Did my CBT with Shires in July and although it was one of the hottest days of the year I had a fantastic day! There were only two of us trainees to one instructor which was reassuring; Ant was my instructor and he was very patient and encouraging, and we had a laugh too - I wasn't sure if I was ready to go out on the road in the afternoon but he thought I was and it was a great experience - apparently I had a beaming smile on my face throughout! Thanks Ant and Shires, I'm looking to buy my first bike now!

Learnt to ride with these guys several years ago, had a break from riding and then recently did a couple of refresher courses before I took to the roads alone again!
I learnt masses at each stage without feeling as though my head was spinning with too much info. I left buzzing after each session!
I would thoroughly recommend training here, I have been taught by several of the instructors and they were all fab.

Had my cbt today,had never road a motorbike before,so was feeling really nervous,but when I reach the the shires everyone was very friendly and welcoming especially my instructor Andy.he was very knowledgeable and taught me very well and by the end of the day I had pass my cbt all thanks to him,would highly recommend this place to anyone, and thank you Andy and the team at the shires

Passed my MOD1 and MOD2 first time, many thanks to Andy and Dan, absolutely amazing instructors and really enjoyable experience. All the bikes are brand new and a joy to ride, a very chilled out but informative approach to teaching.
Will definitely be back in 2 years time to achieve an unrestricted license.

I would just like to start by saying a huge Thank you to the Shires team, they have been brilliant throughout my Direct Access Scheme and I can happily say I passed Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time.
The tuition I received was fantastic and informative and I was made to feel relaxed, which helped me build my confidence out on the roads on the bike!
The team themselves are very welcoming, easy going individuals, who are professional and want the best possible outcome for each rider.
I couldn't recommended Shires any higher they have been absolutely brilliant!
I would just like to say a final thank you to Tom, Dan, Pete, Ian, Andy and Teresa. Il see you all soon for my Enhanced Rider Scheme.

I wish there were 10 stars.. These guys are great, friendly, professional and life saving.. I took my cbt, test, and today my advanced riding session and I'm always amazed at how much more you can learn, and how much better riding feels after visiting these guys. I can highly recommend the advanced course for anyone who has been riding a year or so, you'll be amazed how much you get out of it. I'll never go anywhere else!

Can not say a bad thing about the place - was a great experience from start to finish. I did the 'full works' package and as I will be going travelling was limited with time. Theresa was able to accomodate all my training and tests yo the earliest conveniences and even kept looking out for cancellations to speed up the process. I had a few instructors during my training each giving theres tips however Dan was my main one - anyone who trains there will know Dan! He was always light hearted and positive and truely helped me feel confident on the roads. I started with 0 riding experience and having passed my Mod 1 and mod 2 first time would HIGHLY recommend this training centre. It is clear safety on the roads is an integral part of the training and they are not just after your money!

I just did my CBT and DAS here. I have to say the level of training really exceeded my expectations. I had previously owned a bike on a CBT and these guys (Dan The Man) really improved my slow control and my pet hate, figure of 8s. I passed everything first time with my MOD 2 having only two minors (both of which I knew what I had done wrong at the time). The price might be high, but I would really recommend to anybody looking to do their full license. I am planning on going back to do my Enhanced Rider course that's how much I think I can learn from the guys.

Just back from a day spent on the enhanced rider scheme run by the Leicester branch of Shires Motorcycle Training at Beaumont Leys. The training I received was excellent in all respects and suited my requirements perfectly as a "mature" person returning to motorcycling.. I must thank Ian, Teresa and "big" Dan for putting me at ease whilst on the premises.
The one to one pursuit and comprehensive recap, carried out by Ian, was extremely thorough and highlighted both the good and bad aspects of my riding abilities but more importantly, the areas which need attention. The day spent with Ian also provided an invaluable Q and A session to clear up any "grey areas" you may have.
The whole experience was very well organised and professionally executed but never intimidating. I found all the staff and instructors friendly, supportive and extremely helpful. Thank you once again and I look forward to another refresher session in due course. Best regards, Tony M.

Really friendly atmosphere, make it nice and comfortable to do any of your tests. Good cup of coffe whilst I waited and Happy to help the instructors are all full of information for any questions fired at them. Really nice people big praises to Polly and Tom for guiding us, nice bikes and good learning techniques. deffinately recommend these guys will sure be using them for my next up test ... Cheers guys

Did my CBT, Mod1, Mod 2 and then the Enhanced Rider Scheme through Shires MCT. Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable staff who know how to crack a joke to reduce the stress of learning how to ride.
All the supplied kit and bikes are in great condition and the training is made to feel enjoyable as a part of an 'experience day' rather than some training session.
Highly recommended.

Came to Shires for a CBT course in October 2012. The instructors were very friendly and knowledgeable and provided a good value for training. The motorbikes were all brand new Yamaha YBR 125cc and ran excellent. The helmets and gear provided were all in great shape and made the whole experience fantastic. Recommended.

They are nice people but,Not the best place to do any training,my experience there was poor,3 day direct acess course yet they try to put me through mod 1 with 1day training, they didn't care I'd be loosing a day, I payed for 3days, I did get my 3days in the end test was cancelled,test was wed training cancelled on Sunday, I thought was still doing wed test as thats what they told me but phoned me n cancelled it tuesday, to come back at week end, made me feel uncomfortable about saying some thing,intructers didn't seem to won't to do my training,following week end intructer turns up in ford Mondeo ragged his car round the car park, that couldn't t be a intructer yes it was and was mine, had to come back following week end,they not in rush to get u out on the Rd,was frosty but having to hang around till about 12 just to get out to car park at countyhall,which is a quit a dangerous car park full of stones, advanced intructer had Rd rage on 2 separate times yet I didn't feel bothered about what a car may of done, and he complained about a landrover needing to use the Rd round island it was just close to the line, well big vehicles need room sorry he wonted to lean round island with his wheel very close to the line,he stopped me in bus lane on saffron lane tapping on lady's windows n had go at her, all she done was beep at me, I wernt bothered,getting long now,so to finish,my son done his cbt,he's riding a 50 ped,he won'ts to do his full test on 125 on his 17th to surly make him a better rider, shires don't think it a good idea,hmmmmmm,he can go some were else then, and I'll do advanced course some were else too,
