We had babies 2 and 3 delivered here, both births were natural and beautiful. Words cannot express our family's gratitude to the maternity department at Whittington Hospital. Their level of care and compassion is second to none. There are very many nurses, midwives, doctors and cleaners that we owe our thanks to. If you are a worrisome dad/mum (it's our job to worry!), then let us reassure you with years of experience attending the maternity departments here and elsewhere, the team at Whittington are brilliant. Be patient if the staff seem busy at times and trust in their expertise. Many thanks

On this occasion... this hospital was excellent. Staff really informative and really kept me informed of delays and it all went smoothly. Some area of this hospital really need and immediate upgrades.

I am horrified from today experience! I called 111 because of my terrible lower back pain. I couldn't sit or walk properly! They send me to this hospital, which I never been before! They told me I would be seen within max 2 hours. I was waiting 3 hours in agony without proper help. Standing in waiting room, couldn't sit down because of the pain. Nurse saw me after 15 minutes on my arrival, said she will make sure I get something for the pain. I didn't get nothing. After all that I saw doctor who give me paracetamol. I am just grateful I am not dealing with something serious. Because they would probably just let me die.

If i could give them a zero star believe me i would. Attended the hospital on the evening of 20th May 2021. The two ladies at the reception were so bloody rude. If you dont have the peoples skills why work as a receptionist? Sort your customer service out as this is not a free service. Your salaries are paid via my taxes. The doctors were lovely though.

I can't say enough thanks to the Consultant Mr. Omar Haddo and the specialist who performed my operation, Mr. Alex Mulligan Consultants Trauma and Orthopaedics. I also want to send my gratitude to the A&E department of Whittington Hospital, the Nurses, and all other doctors participants in recovering my HEALTH. Thanks, be happy, be healthy, and successful in all your life.

We went to the eye clinic. The main receptionist was very helpful, the eye clinic receptionist was very polite too, but too long a queue. The main entrance is beginning to look more like a market though.

During my pregnancy I was referred there. I had an amazing midwife until I was referred to the Murray Labour ward before and after my delivery. The staff there were so loud and rude. I found most of them very cheeky and didn't care you are in pain. After my delivery I was there for four days until my discharge. There was this staff there who wears glasses and has short hair, she always laughs loud and was always laughing at my husband when he wore his face mask. Whenever he walked past their desk, she would laugh at him and I thought to myself, she has issues. I found that very disrespectful, and they would walk in my ward to crack jokes when I needed to rest. That's the worse labour ward ever. Very tumultuous environment. I just couldn't wait to go home. Am never going there again.

Today, I went to Whittington Hospital for a chest x-ray and wanting to say that people were amazing, lovely. All rules about the covid were respected. I also didn't wait at all. Thanks for looking after me, and being there.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Whittington Hospital on 8/01/21. The queues were long but you handled it marvelously and professionally. A lovely lady greeted me in the queue and handed me a form. We moved down to a waiting area where another lovely Irish lady managed the queues very efficiently but with a warm, friendly demeanor. I sat with yet another lovely person who patiently answered questions. Finally there was the man, who was excellent, empathetic, professional, and patiently answered yet more questions and administered the covid 19 vaccine. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff for the service provided, not forgetting the observers in observation rooms and people at the desks, administrators who made this possible as well as IT and cleaners. A huge thank you for just being you, working in such a pressured environment without complaining and caring for me.

My wife gave birth in the labour ward and we then had a brief stay in the birth center. The midwives and doctors were absolutely fantastic, handling challenges during the labour brilliantly while continuing to communicate to us clearly what was going on. The support from the midwives at the birth center was brilliant too, helping with some of the initial challenges, and always happy to help with our questions and concerns - we felt really supported and listened to, and got some great advice which has set us in good stead.

Our experience its been awful, doctors say one thing and they do another. The nurses don't do their job, they ignore patients, you ask hundred times and they just don't do it, I regret having come here for Child emergency.

I had to go to the a&e today due to accidentally cutting my hand with glass and the bleeding not stopping. I was prepared to wait for hours to be attended but instead was called in quickly. Everything worked amazingly, the x ray was quick and the staff especially were extremely friendly, helpful and positive. They really cared about the patients and the staff seemed extremely supportive of each other. So thankful for the work you do, especially during these pandemic times. Thank you!

Staff, care etc given to patients is amazing, only problem which l am going to complain about is the temperature of the-rooms on the Mercer ward, also where the MRI scanners are located, the hallway is so cold and this was November 2020. I was so cold and eventually after 3 days was given an electric heater, the shower room can’t wait to get out, l go in white and come out pink. Changes need to be made as hospitals should be at least 18c - 21c. If l had to come in Dec, Jan, Feb or March l would have to leave the next day. Been here a week and must voice my opinion to The Ward Manager with a complaint form and keep updated with the process or l go to the Islington Gazette. If l was staff l would complain too

Terrible service. After a referral for a gastroscopy from my GP in October and after calling the Hospital several times I've just received a letter stating that the letter wasn't "an appropriately detailed referral letter for an outpatient service". I just wasted four months and now I have to start the process again... Avoid if you can....

The worst hospital that i ever been the stuff was not taking me on consideration, I've been waiting for like 4h people who come after me they've been checked atleast one time or more and they left, and I've been told the my name was next in few minute but I ended up left only me with one person that has already been checked. The organization it's the worst.

Very hard working, heroic NHS staff. Impressive the amount of time and care they give to patients despite the current climate making the NHS staffs jobs even more incredibly important and more difficult than ever.

Very disorganized! They called in the morning to tell that there's an appointment on the same day. Only to find out upon arrival that no one was expecting.. what a f...ing joke! They also refused to share blood test results on several occasions because of some privacy BS. Who are you kidding? You can't share my results.. with me.. because of privacy???

There are only a few staff that is qualified to do the job in phlebotomy sector. The other ones are making you an amazing mark that you had your blood test. The “nurse” has loose the band when she was pulling the needle out!! I have told her this will broke the vein, and honestly not sure did she understood what I have said or not, but the result is clear in attached picture. Avoid!

Best hospital I have ever been. People annoy me when they judge the hospital on its age rather than the quality of professionalism I agree to certain extents that this hospital needs a massive refurbishment being the oldest one in the world but more importantly old or new I want the hospital to function properly and at Homerton Hospital whilst the building is newer the hospital is not better in any way shape or form and as a whole the Whittington is much better out of the two. I love all the UCLH hospitals except the Royal free because of its employees but the Kings Cross hospital is my 2 favourite but the Whittington comes first place out of every hospital in England so far and is the highest performing one in the UK and London. I love the Whittington well done UCLH brilliant job unlike Homerton and the royal free prisons.

May I say thank you and bravo to the most amazing teams: -the scanning team yesterday Monday the 15th including Ilaha Mammadova, Emma Allan and Maaret Ojalehto who saw an issue straight away, and solved it all with kindness and magnificent efficiency. They took care of it with reinsuring words, gentleness, and yet the job was done in no time. I called them the three Musketeers as they worked very well together. It was a delicate procedure however it was done with care. -the breast department including Renata who has been so helpful and calm in the last weeks. She was also liaising with Ms Babar who has operated on me last October 2020, and who has called me despite a busy schedule to reinsure me. Ms Babar and her team were simply amazing. She also got this scan organised by Claudette whose energy on the phone put a smile on my face. And all of this during a pandemic. I also wrote a review on Google last October: "Thank you to an amazing team. My very own heroes: from the Brigit ward, to the anesthésist trio, to the surgeons, Ms Babar, to the recovery team. I thank you all for doing an amazing job. I was feeling calmer than before a job interview. I felt looked after, and cared for. Thank you for doing the hardest job on the planet and on top of it, during a pandemic. Forever grateful to you. ????❤️" Thank you is not enough to express my gratitude to all of them. The NHS is doing an amazing work during an extreme and challenging time. I just wanted to say thank you and bravo.

Extremely disorganised hospital During my last 8 months of experience with this hospital I’ve had: - appointments cancelled and doctors scheduled to call you but not calling you until days later - no one picking up the phone when you are trying to chase - never being notified of the test results - waiting for a procedure appointment and then receiving a letter that they cancelled it because I was somehow “unavailable” - waiting for hours for a 10 minute procedure Sort yourselves out! It’s not Covid, it’s your administrative staff’s incompetency!

I have been at the emergency department on Saturday because I was bleeding and I am pregnant. I was not in a good condition at all. They asked me few questions and checked blood pressure and send me home telling me that they would call me on Monday. I went to another hospital and they checked me straight away as I was at risk of abortion. Very disappointed!

Someone form my family was waiting a long time for an appointment. Because of COViD-19 it was moved to another 4 months later. Did confirmed a week before the appointment that it will take a place and been instructed to attend. Took day off at work and once attended to the clinic, receptionist said it will be telephone consultation - no one ever called since. Once contacted with department next day, the receptionist said he have to contact GP to refer himself again. Very, very disappointing causing stress and problems.

Horrible experience, first of all I did not witness clinicians clean any equipment they’ve used on me although there is a PANDEMIC. They said that as I am a young woman I will be fine as we are “less likely to get most problems” despite my concerning symptoms. They will watch you die before they take anyone serious. Also the Dr gave me a prescription with the wrong diagnosis so that I can just go home. The Drs here are the worst representation of the NHS. These type of Drs are the reason why some people would rather suffer and die in silence than attempt to get checked. Despicable.

Staff are doing all they can but the A&E department here is nothing short of intimidating. As someone who has been going here for years on and off, there are always, always, people with mental health issues ignored/not catered to and regular fights/shouting, either between patients or between patients and doctors. I feel some unruly patients treat this place more like the outside of a McDonald's than a hospital. The sad fact is you see more police here than medical staff. The main hospital is somewhat better and I've had some good experiences here, but the sad fact is this: Like many hospitals throughout the UK, this hospital isn't crumbling, its crumbled.

I have never been intimidated in life before but some staff in cellier/murry ward has grade 1 in intimidating patient under their care . The staffs I have come across since the 9th of July after my c section in this hospital are very unprofessional / rude . I still find it very difficult to believe that I could received such maltreatment from NHS staff at whittington hospital. I am highly disappointed.

No words to describe how you are made to feel as you walk in.. The receptionists at the imaging department were so helpful especially when I asked them if they could make photocopies of my CT scan and blood test requests form they so willingly obliged as well as giving me a follow up on my status in the system The hospital is so clean and well organised . The cafe has a good selection of food. Special mention to the staff at the imaging department especially to Mr Lakshan who calmed me and took me through the procedure of how contrast would work and he was so empathetic and was with me through the whole scan. He is a credit to your hospital. I would also like to highly recommend Ms Luiza Emiri at the Gastroenterology Department who this morning(27.07.20) answered my queries with patience, kindness and calm. She also went above and beyond to actually call me back with a telephone appointment by my doctor. She is an asset to your hospital and to the NHS. I highly recommend this hospital and will always try to be seen here as much as possible. Thank you

Very disappointed with the service. I required stitches on an open wound, and the nurse did a very messy job, which caused more harm. I went to St Mary's hospital 2 days later and need a re-stitch, who operated with care and quality, . To go through that pain again was unnecessary, if only the nurse from Whittington had done the job right the first time, rather than rushing me.
