I was recently admitted to St Ann's Psychiatric Hospital Daisy Ward for 3 weeks as an informal patient - I felt that my stay helped me. Most of the staff were lovely and showed compassion, understanding and care. The rooms and facilities are lovely and new. However, I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 because it was very difficult for patients to see the ward consultant, and also because I felt there was sometimes a lack of communication. But I am very thankful for the care I received at St Ann's - they are doing a fantastic job despite that they are obviously struggling with staff shortages.

Mental health; Halliwick centre. I would give 0 stars if I could. I was referred here by my GP to have an assessment of my mental health, id been struggling for years and it finally had gotten so bad I just had to get help. My god I should've just suffered in silence! I had my assessment with Dr Brian Douglas and he was atrocious, he belittled me, patronised me and even laughed at me at one point, he rolled his eyes, repeatedly checked the time on his watch, sighed, played with his pen, he just didn't care and i'm pretty sure he barely listened to a word I said. He blamed my low moods and self harming on 'hormones' despite the fact I was 21 and id been experiencing it for over a decade? he insisted I was fine and would 'get over it' (his words) then proceeded to prescribe me anti-depressants and refer me to CBT? made no sense, offered no explanation for why his words completely contradicted his actions. id been struggling for YEARS and finally felt capable of asking for help only to be laughed at and have it thrown back in my face. seriously awful experience, if you get referred here, please do yourself a favour and AVOID Dr Brian Douglas.

The people I worked with were not exactly so great. They have no compassion to already scared patients and I felt I wasn't being heard there. They invalidate your views simply because you are "ill"

The mental health department (blossom court) I can honestly say I’m disgusted how MOST the staff speak to people really isn't professional at all make me question wether they know anything about mental health. All the staff there has different rules One member of staff say yes and the other says no all very confusing! Not run well at all. Staff speak little English or accent so strong hard to understand speaks with a very bad angry tone! The quicker my family members is out of there the better not safe environment at all for people Suffering with there mental health. You have to have care and understanding if you want to have a job like this makes me feel sick they would make someone feel worst then better! Not happy at all Can I add in all my life iv never written a review on anything they mad me feel that angry and disappointed I took the time to make account to write this!

Found audiology finally in a corner of the Mental Health Wards building (K1 if you're looking for it). Workmen seemed to outnumber staff and patients combined. No trouble parking, social distancing or pressure to wear masks. Service prompt even though we were late.

Been calling the moorfields eye department for 4 MONTHs now . ANY CHANCE OF A DECENT VOICEMAIL OR TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE? .what is going on. Why not add a decent message for the public? Called the main number which is even worse. Only interested if you have mental issues. What about the rest of the population ? Very very poor service. Should really demolish this place as this place is not fit for purpose. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Mental Health dept. Highly unprofessional, and far too willing to dismiss the needs of those in danger, especially if they've been brave enough to to seek help without assistance. We are encouraged to seek help if something is wrong, but help is rarely offered to people who are able to articulate their needs and they're often told nothing is wrong and to just endure any feeling of mental imbalance. . If you are trying to avoid potential dangers by seeking help, they prefer to wait until you are or have been in a position where you can be deemed mentally unstable to be sectioned. This will then allow them the right to dictate your decisions and ignore/overlook any request, suggestion, report or complaint you attempt to make.

Rude rude rude Reception staff at the Mental health ward!!! I called today to confirm if my brother had received his depo injection and the lady on the phone was eating and being very rude to me because I think she had her McDonald break! How the hell those people passing interviews???? No customer service skills!! She just told me that she couldn't access the computer and if I can call in one hour!!! Updates : So Today I went with my Brother so he can have his Depo injection. And of course no changes!! So as there is Coronavirus They ask us to take a ticket and wait for you turn ( As this is the proper way! ) But hey what was my surprise as the Receptionist was picking up people before my brother who was first in the line! What is the point of the tickets then??!!!

Very poorly managed they have no basic training in diabetic patients who are under section in their wards need to have a medical training review so they have basic knowledge, staff are also very rude they treat every patient like they have all the same problems and don't give dignity or respect. Building is very run down in need of refurbishment and a good clean especially for patients to feel more better and feel more cooperative. Overall poor choice of place I would not recommend this place for treatment take my experience as a sectioned patient.

In the mental health section, patients are not given a psychiatrist and social workers due to short budget as I was told. There is no professional to get information about the patients in the wards. Staffs speak very little English or difficult accent to understand. It is a complete chaotic place. Too difficult to understand the working staff's duties and responsibilities.

I visited the Moorfields eye block at the St. Ann hospital. Eye clinic is not too big. However, service was good. The staff is very efficient and cooperative. Queue for the clinic is very long. It was able to get appointment after 3 months. There is a coffee machine inside. Thanks.

This hospital has been for years. Blimey...easy access. Think they only do day clinics there now. Not fully run as hospital. Used to be a very busy hospital years ago. Very popular with patients. ...

I had a cataract operation at Moorfield@St Ann's in November 2012. A very busy place, with tens of patients coming and going for eye operations and -checks; one has to wait about, because it is so busy. On the other hand they try and do all your separate necessities on the same day, which is a very good thing! I found the staff very busy but very professional too, knowledgeable and able. My op was a success and I am very grateful for all members of the team who were involved - long live the NHS!

If I said 'Barbaric' that would be too kind. These guys should be in prison for what they do to people. Disgusting. Avoid at all costs. If you're having mental problems, go try Dianetics counselling, it'll blow you away!!!

Oh my Gawd! Some 3rd world/undeveloped countries have better standards than St Anne's X-ray department. "Closed for lunch, re-open at 2pm" but no staff about. The whole hospital is stuck in the 70's, service is non-existent, you're better off going to North Middlesex, at least they've updated a lot of their facilities, unsure of staffing levels though.

Terrible experience with St Ann's sexual health clinic. Attempted to book in a routine check up but had to call 3 times and was kept on hold for a total of 40mins. At the clinic I was kept waiting for an hour and a half before being seen. The waiting room was also full of people playing music loudly on their phones. Would recommend using a different SH service.

Wow, this is probably one of the s***est hospitals I have ever seen in my life, jees. The staff was so rude and unhelpful, I went asking for patient in mental health department and they couldn't even provide a simple info such as log book or something. For f*** sake I'm so annoyed, *punches wall* fix up NHS.......... By the way , your pretty paintings on the walls will not hide the fact that your unit is depressing.

Need to Improve service at the reception. Should pick up the phone. What's the point of a telephone if you are not going to pick up? I was five mins late. It was the bloody traffic and the appt has been cancelled.

My mother went into saint ann's voluntreely. Through her time there she'd not been treated like a human begin, she was attacked by another patient. She was also not being provided with proper meals while often neglecting her needs as well as neglecting the need for change in her Medication. The services and most of the doctors were poorly educated on mental health. It has also come to my attention that a lot of violence has recently been occuring inside the wards from a reliabla advocate.

Dreadful hospital. The staff are disorganised, disinterested and ridiculously rude. I have never been to a hospital where I have felt less like the staff (doctors, nurses, receptionists) gave the slightest damn about me. Its like basic human decency, manners or even a hint of kindness go out the window once someone starts working here. For example, on my way out after an appointment I popped into the main reception area near the exit to ask if there where I could find a toilet. The reception area was empty and there was a single man sat behind the desk. I went up with a big smile and said 'hi, excuse me, sorry to bother you I was just - '. The man didn't look up but held up a single finger, indicating I wait. He continued to read whatever he was reading for about another minute and then looked up at me. He didn't say anything, he just looked with an irritated expression on his face. I asked about a toilet and he said 'no' and went back to reading. Then I got irritated and asked again louder and he told me there was one across the road in the cafe in the park. Why he couldn't have said so in the first place, why he couldn't have conducted the entire conversation with some more manners and maybe even a smile, I have no idea. I work in a receptionist role and if I'd acted like that with a service user I'd be fired on the spot and rightly so. I include this anecdote not to be arsey about one particular incident but as just one example of the general behaviour of the staff in the hospital. I once tried to call my doctor and the receptionist was rude as anything, kept telling me to call back at certain times on other days, and when I did just told me to call again. I started leaving messages with the receptionist but no one ever got back to me. This went on over a period of weeks and when I finally said I was getting frustrated there was just silence at the other end of the line, a big sigh and then more silence. There was never any explanation as to why nobody could answer my questions or get back in touch, and the receptionist never seemed to remember who I was anyway. The doctors themselves don't listen, as evidenced by the overviews of the situation they send to me and my GP which are full of inaccuracies. I know doctors are people too and not robots, but when you get the impression people aren't listening to you and then they prove it by sending reviews full of inaccuracies to your GP which you have to carefully go through and correct, it can get exhausting, especially when it happens more than a few times. I can only assume doctors come to St Ann's when they can't get a job anywhere else. People just don't seem to give a damn about you here. This is the only hospital I have ever been to where I have had to request a change in practicioner because the person was so dreadful. I don't understand why people think this is an acceptable way for any organisation to behave, let alone a hospital. I hate coming here, it never fails to ruin my day. I'd recommend anybody who has the option avoid this godawful place like the plague. Haringey deserves better.

I have been waiting for 6 months to get an appointment with a consult after the first appointment with the audiologist and still no news from them. I am also still waiting to get a letter from the hospital for the second appointment with the audiologist I was supposed to have after 3-4 months. Today I am calling both the reception of the hospital and the audiology department and no one answers the the phone. Really sad...
