I was referred here to check if I had eye Sarcoids. I have never had such an in depth eye test, including 2 scans on each eye. Thankfully no Sarcoids were found, but my eye pressure was slightly raised so it will be rechecked in 3mths. Many thanks to all the staff, especially Christina who was very thoro in explaining. Also a great idea to use 'pagers' so you can go for walk about if your appt is delayed~ mine wasn't ~ everything ran like clockwork. Also local parking very reasonable.

I went to my Optician in December and within 2 hours was in the Emergency Eye Clinic. Within just over 1 hour I had an eye scan and retinal images taken, then saw a Doctor who said I required surgery. My 1st appointment was delayed by 1 week but then saw my wonderful Surgeon in January. My surgery took place at the beginning of March. I have just returned from my 2nd post op assessment. Every member of staff I have met has been so professional but also so caring. Every appointment from pre op to post op has been on time. All the staff has been so helpful and, just make you feel so relaxed (I hate hospitals) but have no anxiety coming here. The staff on the operation ward are wonderful, make you so relaxed as you are obviously fearful of your operation. I couldn't have been looked after better if I had been a Private Patient. I hope that my further consultations run as smoothly but I have no reason to doubt that they wont. If I should have a further major eye problem I would definitely want to been seen at this hospital. Many thanks to Mr Scala and his team

They're great when they will see you, but I've been trying to get someone to talk to me about an appointment for half a week, and nobody will ring back. Broken promise after broken promise.

The emergency treatment I had to correct a torn retina was excellent, every member of staff right through from reception to surgeon level, showed professional care and treatment to a high level. I would thank all members involved during my treatment on 27/08/15 especially Carmen Bauman and Logan Robinson. Many thanks Fred Robinson Silverdale Lancs.

EXCELLENT!!! PEOPLE DO NOT REALISE HOW GODDAMNED LUCKY THEY ARE IN MANCHESTER TO HAVE THIS WONDERFUL NHS SERVICE!!!! I was seen at the Emergency Eye Clinic on the same day my GP referred me, a week after strong Penicillin I was given an appointment the VERY NEXT DAY (a SATURDAY!!!!) for a minor eye operation to release fluid in the eyelid. If people want the EEC - then GO!!! GO to France, Germany, Holland especially where they have fu77ked up the so called health service so it is WORSE THAN AMERICA where people pay minimum €150 a month and practically NOTHING is covered!!! Pensioners on only €970 a month state pension cannot get Chiropody or physio on the standard (€150 a month!!!) policy!!! Europe!!! FORGET IT!!! WHY DO THINK CALAIS JUNGLES EXIST!!!?? THEY ALL WANT TO BE HERE TO EXPLOIT THE EXCELLENT SERVICES IN THE UK!!!

I researched every laser clinic in Manchester before I decided to have my laser done at Manchester Centre for Vision. They have 2 brand new lasers - the newest and most up-to-date in the region. You also have all the support and reassurance of being in the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. I had bladeless custom wavefront LASIK with the Intralase 150 laser and the brand new Schwind 750 but I could also have also have had "no touch laser". I opted for the LASIK because thats what my wife had done there and she was really happy with it. I highly recommend having your laser done here instead of on the "high street". Most other places just fly in someone from overseas for the day and they are gone until the next weekt!! The surgeon who lasered my eyes was Mr Brahma. He is a corneal specialist who works at the Eye Hospital so I knew he would be around to see me if there were any problems (there weren't any). When I went to another clinic they were trying to make me pay more to have wavefront guided laser, at Manchester Centre for Vision they only do wavefront laser and that it was not an "optional extra". It was really reassuring. I highly recommend it!!

I really don't like being in hospitals, especially as a patient, but the medical staff here are very friendly, and certainly do their best to make you feel comfortable in an otherwise unpleasant environment.
