The family had to something in particular which Decathlon only sold...
The location was good, seeing it's one of many stores along the strip, the size of this store was on the standard size compared to some of the others of its chain.
The layout is how you'd expect, everything is sectioned out for its uses.
The staff were nice, got on with things.

Very good store as it is Decathlon. This branch is not a big as the one next to my place. But the bike I wanted was only available in this store so I went there.
It is nevertheless a good size store with many sports equipment and it also has a bike repair section inside.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. The stor is well prepared for social distancing and is layed out pretty well to find what you need. But if you just out for window shopping it is also a good place to be.

I was looking for my size and asked to a sale associate who was opening delivery boxes he just replied that everything was on the shop floor without even checking.... After that bad experience I went to a different section as I was looking for a particular item . 2 sale associates were having a conversation without noticing the customers around them .I apologised before asking if they had the product I was looking for and one of them replied that if I can not find it in store I have to buy it online ..... Awful customer service .....

After sales customer services is non existent. I was overcharged for a pair of rugby boots (label clearly different to the receipt), though only realised this the day after. I have called the store multiple times a day since this happened 2 weeks ago but THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONES. I have contacted Decathlon UK via their Facebook page and they directed me to use their DM service. Here they told me they couldn't help with in-store sales, only online sales, and to call the store directly..... I have explained that no one ever answers the phone (I'm up to 17 attempts today already) but no one has responded to this. I have tried calling the head office customer service line - the message just says it is no longer operating and hangs up. I have tried calling other stores - they don't answer either. I live over 40 miles from the store (it is our nearest one) and made the trip specifically to purchase items for my son starting secondary school and these boots were part of a £200+ purchase. I am not prepared to drive all the way back to sort this, using my petrol, when it should be something that could be sorted over the phone....if they ever answered them.
Trying to rectify this has taken so much time over the last 2 weeks that I am now working with VISA to organise a charge back to my card.
Such a shame as the store and products are fantastic.

Pretty straight forward place. Good quality sports wear, last and is very reasonably price. Staff are all friendly and as helpful as the can be. This store is obviously a smaller branch but still holds quite a bit of stock. Zero complaints. The best thing about shopping here as with all Decathlon stores are the auto-scanning tills. Just keep an eye on what's being scanned they are very sensitive.

A great shop usually with lots of good quality products. Weights for dumbbells still not in stock. The entrance is divided in to entrance and exit and is hard to get/out with shopping as it's so narrow.

I am beyond angry with the members in this store. I went in the shop with my Mum as the prices are very good and we had a browse. Left the store only to be stopped by a member of staff as the alarms starting beeping. We had other shopping which could of caused a problem with the security system to beep. Fair enough the members have a job to do and they need to check. The man who worked there said his phone alerted him that we have 'stolen' a certain product. I believe it was a warmer for the neck, mostly used for bike riders ect which costs around the £4-£5 mark. We was shocked as we did look at them as I recently purchased one from that store for my partner. We showed the man inside our bags and under our prams, aswell as taking the baby out to prove we have not taken anything. He still was very sure that we had the product. There was nothing else we could do as we showed him everything we had... stopping, bags etc. The alarm then stopped and he realised it was a error. Considering this item is in sight of members by the till and staff could see clearly. Honestly so out of order. I will not be returning back after this matter and will be taking this further...

Abysmal experience. Whilst the store is well laid out to encourage social distancing it isn't observed. Finally having managed to select the products required I arrived at the checkout to be told that they didn't accept cash. Completely wasted visit.

I am glad there is this new decathlon so do not have to travel to Lakeside. As a mother with kids that love sports...I always check this shop first as their prices are very reasonable and the shop has not disappointed me yet in all the 5 years I have been shopping here...
You can get ski, basketball, netball football stuff to name a few.....worth trying out this shop. They also have from very low range to high range stuff so something for everyone depending on your budget.

Great and friendly service from Javier. Really helped sort my bike out but also took the time to explain things so I can prevent further wear and tear. It’s the sort of service you might expect to get from a small ‘local’ bike shop so I was pleasantly surprised.

I am furious. I have waited 3 weeks for my diagnostic appointment to find out what work needs to be carried out on my bike, came back 30mins later I need a new front wheel, chain and brake adjustment front and back.
Which they can’t do for another 3 weeks. Unacceptable- I would have just booked a service had they made it clear work would not be done once diagnostics happened. Off I cycle on my bad wheel, chain and brakeless bike. Outrageously disappointed.

The small shop front is quite deceiving although compared to many others, this is a relatively smaller one. Nevertheless, we have enjoyed the shopping experience here. It’s great to space for kids to try out the bikes and also scooters and a small ping pong at the end on the first floor. Totally enjoyed the non online shopping experience. The downside with this shop is exiting the parking lot. It is a disaster - expect to wait at least half an hour if you are British and polite enough to queue or allow someone else to cut in front of you and wait for your turn.

Lovely shop, super helpful staff and good value products catering for a huge range of activities. Could do with more extensive bicycle parking outside the store as currently only a couple of pillars available. I love the clever checkout service which scans items in the bag without having to look for the exact label somewhere on the garment!

Went the the cycle repair as I could not align my gears. The guy was really good and gave me a lesson on what he was doing and even complimented me on my bar tape. Honestly I have been to more expensive and bespoke bike shops but these guys are so good and cheaper than anywhere else. I could not me happier and go back all the time.

Fraudulent online order/returns system!! Their online order system 'manually' processes payments leading to human errors!!! I ordered an item via Decathlon for £10.48 but had a separate £34.99 taken from my card account as well by 'manual transaction'. Totally useless customer service response: words to the effect of "we have no record of the transaction, contact your bank". I'll be closing my account and putting in a GDPR subject access request. Obviously, I will be shopping elsewhere in future and will continue to tell my friends and family of this absolutely terrible service!

I visited this store to purchase a new bike. The cycling team seem very knowledgable and passionate about their work. I had some unexpected delays to the order which gave me a bad first impression. However, the manager reached out to me directly to explain the delay and the steps being taken to resolve the issue. I was very satisfied with the end result, the manager's personal investment in customer service and love my new bike,.

First experience at this store today. I was very impressed, large store, clearly labelled areas. Found what I was looking for straight away a pair of size 8 adult roller skates. Was able to try them out in plenty of space. The assistant was extremely helpful advising on suitable and correct fitting safety protection. No queing at the till either. Great!

Got hassled by security to wear face mask, I have asthma so its difficult for me, only for security to say no i don't, your not a doctor and you don't know my health condition, not only that the sign at checkout says this is a cashless store which caused me a lot of inconvenience, not visiting this store again, the one is Surrey Quays is a lot better.
