Went in to look at buying camping gas and nikwax but approached by a lady in the store that came and stud straight next to us asked if needed help replied no for her to come closer gazing in our bag we already had and just spoke in a rude manner. Which made me just grab the gas and pay and walk out. Man on till was friendly and kind. But as for the woman she was out of order and really upset my shopping experience!

Very good service. Staff very helpful, went in to buy a pair of walking boots John was very helpful showing me how to tie the boots to support my ankles. Need a size up as my size felt tight. Also bought socks, I have them both on bedding them in and feel comfy. Good price to.

My wife and myself popped in to purchase a pair of walking boots each with a budget of £125 each with which to purchase these items. Only one sales assistant who was dealing with a customer ,we tried to catch the assistants eye hoping for her to call another assistant to help us make our purchase but to no avail.We got fed up hanging around and eventually left the shop to spend our money with another outdoor activities retailer. Poor service from Blacks .

Staff are sometimes over attentive to the point of being creepy. Shop is a bit tired. Deals seldom match those offered on their online shop.
Most annoying though. One member of staff once stopped me going to the first floor, to buy clothes for my kids, as he thought as a male adult I had no need to go upstairs where there were only women's and children's clothing. Clearly only women have children.
