There is nothing inherently wrong with this facility. It is a perfectly adequate Texaco petrol station. Petrol is 24/7 with a really good and useful Coop supermarket, with great staff, which stays open until 11pm, 7 days a week.
However for around the last 6 MONTHS their petrol pumps have been out of action! They are still advertising the petrol prices on their large illuminated sign but you can only get diesel.
For this entire 6 months there has not been a sign up warning or explaining that there is no petrol available. I live 5 minutes away and go to buy groceries there virtually every other day. Almost every time I'm there I see people drive in expecting to fill their cars as normal and watch them leave disappointed when they realise they can't use any of the several petrol pumps. The poor staff are frequently asked when there'll be petrol again - they don't know.
I have exchanged 3 emails with Coop's Customer Services team to try to find out why there's no petrol and at least for them to put up a sign apologising and offering an explanation. Despite their promises to 'Inform the Area Manager" and "Get back" to me I have heard nothing in the last 6 weeks and there's still no change.
In conclusion - I have seen the excellent staff working hard and cheerfully throughout the whole pandemic and cannot praise them highly enough.
If it's a fairly good selection of normal supermarket goods you want - great. If it's petrol - at the time of writing - forget it!
