Still great, menu seems perhaps a bit smaller than my last visit pre-Covid but I remember it being almost overwhelmingly extensive so that's not a criticism. So nice that the building work next door is finally finished and the nice food and drinks aren't offset by incessant drilling. Plus you can now access it via St Johns churchyard.

Delicious food bursting with colour! Large range of different types of vegan food, from breakfast bowls, to smoothies, croissants, various items on sourdough. Excellent coffee. Lovely outside space and inside is just as peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend visiting!

Thankfully still offering takeaway during the lockdown. Their Mac & Cheeze is fantastic and the Peanut Butter Coffee is odd but satisfying, just as it ever was inside. Happy to support this place.

This will for sure be my new favourite spot in Hackney! Lovely menu with a huge selection! I had the "salmon" bagle and a flat white and it was super good. I will come back and work my way through the menu!

Great food, cool introduction to vegan food in a small alleyway tucked off the main shopping part of Mare Street, close to Palm Vaults. Has a great outdoor area which will be packed come summer, yet away from the hustle of Mare Street. Nice minimalist decor inside with plenty of macrame, wicker light shades and hanging seats. Food was fantastic, would have been 5/5 were it not for the long wait for food.

Very limited menu. Coffee was not great (ordered a flat white). Food was EXTREMELY overpriced - £10 for a salad box with a bit of rice. £8 for 3 miniature pancakes which were extremely hard to cut into. Overall the setting is nice - however it is TOO overcrowded so expect to share your personal space whilst you eat. Do not recommend.

Excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Really nice outdoor seating area too! Delicious peanut butter hot drinks and food. I'm not vegan and until eating here, I didn't realise plant based food and drink could taste so good! Definitely a favourite cafe!

Take away food options/bakery bits are not what they used to be. Cookies look like they were made in the dark on an oven permanently stuck on high.
Edit: bought two pre-made smoothies one which tasted like watery turmeric. I'm sure they used to be worth the money when I came previously.

All vegan everything! Chilled out spot. The garden is lovely when its warm. Great selection of coffee, the peanut butter coffee was a winner. Instagramable cafe, you will see people having brunch photo shoots!

This vegan Café is an unexpected oasis admid Hackney Central's chaos. Comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming and the outside space is great on sunny days. They don't get five stars because I believe they need to balance the flavours of their dishes a bit better. We found the food either too salty (Scrambled tofu) or too sweet (coronation toastie).

First time at Wave. Just off the high Street down a dead end ally. Friendly staff welcome. Calming environment with a contemporary design. That welcomes creatives, nomads and anybody in between. Also small herds of MacBooks. And yes the coffee was good.
Returned for breakfast. Excellent!!!!

Beautiful little cafe with a really delicious food that’s ALL vegan. And the portions are decent too! During lunch time it can get super busy but I love the vibe of sharing a table or a couch with other people. They also run yoga classes and have a little ‘shop’ with some sustainable essentials.
It’s not the cheapest but definitely worth going. I’m definitely coming back!

Overpriced, small quantity full breakfast, at £12 the toasties (£9 for a double up) are more filling and flavoursome. The scrambled tofu was beyond bland. The garlic and parsley mushrooms lacked both. The kale was good but that's not difficult to do. It doesn't come with toast and you have to buy as an extra by the slice, priced at £2!! Which comes covered in parsley and nutritional yeast. Overall, not great guys!

Whether you are vegan or not, this place is amazing! I had the Mac and cheese and an almond croissant - both were dreamy. The peanut butter latte was the most dreamy though! And the staff were lovely ❤️

One of if not the best vegan coffee/brunch place in London and especially in Hackney! WAVE is doing an excellent job at differentiating itself from similar place by proposing a large range of excellent food (breakfast, brunch, lunch) in a really cosy and original space where you could chill and relax easily. It the perfect comforting place to spend a day or focus on some work.

This used to be a 5 star but the menu changed recently and im not a huge fan of the new options. My partner and I really missed the pancake and the sourdough options from the menu. Would love to see those back some day. The staff and atmosphere are great but getting your food can be quite slow, even when we came mid week during the day with only a few others already sat to eat. Overall the food is good and really enjoyed the stuffed croissant and drinks selections.

Food was delicious, however they have dedicated staff for different stations (cashier, coffee/barista and kitchen) which one would say its standard but not when your food arrives before the coffee and no-one takes responsibility to coordinate or at least to check internally on the delay etc. The staff wasn't very helpful,friendly. Our group ordered at the same time and we all gpt served drinks/food separately at random order (including bringing other peoples orders by mistake).
Anyways these things can be easily fix by management.

Great food, great atmosphere, lovely. I visited this place with my step-daughter who is vegan. Was totally blown away by the vegan mac and cheese (much better than my husbands), my milkshake was divine and my bagel was just super yummy. Can’t wait to go back.
