A go to spot in London for vegans. I am a big fan and my go to order is buffalo wings with chips and ranch mayo. I ate in and the chef serving me was great (bald guy, sorry I didn’t get his name) asked how I wanted the sauce, if I was enjoying the music etc. Always feels like you’re walking into a friends house which is awesome.

You might have to queue up and the order might take a while, but the Vegan food is totally worth it. Vegan Nashville burger is amazing and so is the decadent Vegan Mac n cheese! Really, really good vegan fast food.

Never again!
I never gave 1 star on any place in London. I went there with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago. It took ages to order cause you need to use an app even if you go directly there. The app is full of bugs and the UX is terrible. I work as Android Developer so I was not happy!
Once the order was ready, saw we collected it and we realized that some stuff were missing like dip sauce and chips. I went inside and the waitress was nice to help with that. Back to the table we check the burgers and they were completely wrong. Basically they didn't have some ingredients so they just gave us different burger.
In the app everything was still available. I tried to get a refund, using the website, because from the app is not possible, and I'm still waiting.
The quality of the food was okay. Probably this place was good back in the days, but nowadays with all these new vegan places you realise that the food is very average.

I adore this place. I don't come here often enough but the fried chicken is so unbelievably good. I have been vegetarian for 15 years and this place has become my go-to place if I want a new vegetarian or a meat-eater to try some great vegan chicken. It isn't the same as real chicken (from what I remember) but it tastes amazing and it never disappoints.

I didn’t really like the chicken vegan wings. The brand this isn’t chicken is better taste according to me. General presentation is awesome. I still recommend this place for vegan people who I’m not !

Tasty vegan spot. Unfortunately opening in the heart of Camden means queues and wait times are incredibly long, but the staff are energetic and wonderful. I think there is better vegan chicken options out there but Temple of Seitan burgers are lush, and I highly recommend the tots and Mac!

The food here speaks for itself. Everything is completely delicious.
I'm a long term flag-flying vegan but I am confident this place would more than satisfy even the most stubborn omnivores.
Recreates "classic meat" options with amazing flavour filled plants.
Decent size menu with lots of choice, little bit more on the spenny side (say in comparison to a high street chicken shop) but the quality and experience is completely worth it.
11/10 would absolutely recommend ????
(I've only ever ordered online for delivery so can't comment on the instore experience)

Great food, the best vegan burger I've ever had and vegan chicken wings to die for!
Only issue is that the food took a long time to prepare, espically for a fast food style type of place and I went when it was very quiet.

Ordering on the app is frustrating as its automated to estimate a time. Was told 15 minutes and after waiting for 25 minutes I went inside and was told they were short-staffed and that there were a few more ahead before my order went in. I asked to cancel order as was for my family incl 2 very hungry kids waiting back n Regent's Park and they sped things up. Really appreciated that.
So 5* for food - the tater tots are super yummy!

Got the Nashville wings. They tasted great and the consistency was very satisfying - crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Good value for money too, everything on the menu is basically less than 8 pounds. Would order from here again!

Got it on takeaway - was the blandest vegan food I've ever tried. No flavour, I had to try sauce it up with what I had at home lol. It tasted like sadness and depression, kind of like mushy hospital food.

Just had this delivered. Really great meat alternative and very tasty. I'm really stuffed we ordered the 12 piece share bucket and the pieces were massive. The mac n cheese is awesome and almost as good as my Mum's.

Probably ok not during a pandemic but they have a completely illogical and infuriating ordering system which means we waited for over an hour. I’m fine with waiting for food, but ultimately this is just deep fried dough with a bit of spice on it. If it isn’t served fast, it defeats the point. Maybe just wait till you can sit in again, otherwise prepare to get seriously mugged off.

Great food but you better like everything on the menu if you order delivery because what they actually send you is always a bit of a gamble. If not you better have a backup plan, I've needed it twice in a row but "fool me twice shame on me" so I'll just not bother anymore.
Better off getting it in person and checking before you leave the building if Boris every lets us do that again.

What an interesting place. I passed it so many times and for some reason I never thought of coming in until my boyfriend told me that it is supposed to be a really good place. So we’ve had high expectations before we came in. They were extremely busy, but luckily we managed to get the last table. By the time we were eating they had massive queue already. The food was fantastic, especially the fries where really nice, we couldn’t work out what they did with them so we just ate it! Burgers were really nice as well, we were too full to try dessert, hopefully next time :))

Avoid!
We used their app to place an order on Friday evening however once we received our items we had multiple things missing from our order. We've contacted customer support to no avail, they said they are struggling to receive contact from the restaurant themselves so are unable to assist with a refund for the items they missed.
I'm still out of pocket for a substantial amount of items I never received.
Really poor form, terrible customer service and highly disappointed.
Will avoid ever using again and ensure to let others know of my experience.

The temple was buzzing with activity with covid in full swing. Customers wearing masks waiting to be called for their orders. The food is divine, the best vegan junk food I've had the pleasure of tasting in my life and a must have if you're in London for any amount of time.

Had a takeaway from their Hammersmith kitchen. Absolutely delicious! Burgers were super tasty, the “chickn” so crunchy and well spiced. Mac’n’cheese was great and the fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. Such a treat!
Oh and they sent a complimentary bottle of their gorgeous garlic Mayo with a lovely message. Amazing personal touch.

My friend and I ordered their animal-style fries and fried chicken (all vegan) for take-away. I would say that the chicken was a 3/5 but the animal-style fries were a 5/5. I also really like how they offer vegan versions of all of your basic American fast food. Overall, a great experience.

The most disappointing and disgusting place ever.
Had to wait 45mins for the burger and it was freezing cold.
They have a truly psychotic and deranged manager dan who couldn't understand a simple joke.
Totally shocked that he told us to leave the restaurant because we told him to hurry up the order.

I was Temple's returning customer - not anymore I guess. My previous order and the order I just got were a complete disappointment. A while ago I waited for an hour and half just to get my order cancelled - no compensation whatsoever. Tonight I got... HALF of my order, after an hour of waiting I should mention, which is barely warm. Of course I got refunded for the missing items, but this is not the point - the person who was supposed to have dinner with me got no food? And obviously there is no way to reach you guys. Where is the customer service to fix mistakes like this? Won't be coming back, as this keeps on happening.

Been 50/50 so far. Went a few months ago and it was great! I couldn't wait to go back. The "chicken" was moist and very tasty.
Went back last weekend and it wasn't nice at all.
Service was incredibly slow (the girl who was bagging the food looked like she was going in slow motion). Took over 30 minutes from ordering. I could see my food sitting on a tray for 10 minutes while she waited for one of the items be cooked.
When I finally got my food it was barely warm and was dry and chewy. Took a while to get rid of the taste of oil in my mouth. Very disappointing.

Went for lunch with a work friend having heard a lot about the place. Definitely has its ups and downs I'd say. The vegan mac and cheese was only okay and was a bit off putting to watch it being assembled from what looked like bags of cooked pasta and pre-made sauce. The fried imitation chicken was delicious, the coating well seasoned and proper junk food. Whole thing very filling, probably ordered too much for lunch which is on me! Pinched a couple of fries from my friend and the chicken salt added a good flavour, but again seeing the bag of pre-made (maybe frozen) fries being cut open and tipped into the fryer was a little disappointing. Staff very friendly. Place has character but not much space. Would return for the fried chicken but would definitely order to share next time due to price and how filling it was.

Very good place for vegans to go for fast food. Food tasted good and was relatively quick service. Prices are a bit more expensive that other fast food places, but that's to be expected when having meat alternatives. Despite the price the portions are big so thus makes up for it.

Temple of Seitan Camden is an amazing place for vegans and non-vegans to experience a delicious and interesting variety of food inspired by conventional fast food. The menu had a decent range of meals, centred around Seitan fried chicken, which were both rich and satisfying. The stand out for me was the vegan mac n cheese with crispy bacon bits. The restaurant had a modern American diner feel, contrasting the sometimes grubby atmosphere of conventional chicken shops. Overall I am keen to visit again to try the rest of the menu.

This is heaven for vegans and vegetarians alike, but even meat eaters should be satisfied if they're open to it! The fried seitan is excellent, with a great texture. Fries are good, but the mac n cheese is fantastic and by far the best vegan mac I've tried. I want to try everything on the menu now!

Oh wow. This place blew me away. Literally something I have always wanted as a vegan - deep fried "chicken" fast food. And it is DELICIOUS. The popcorn bites returned me to my childhood and the Temple Burger was just on point. Everything was super crispy and yum. Once I saw the name in HappyCow I knew I had to try this and I was not wrong. Please try this place, it's unlike anything else.

I ordered from Uber eats for me and my partner, ordered the “buffalo wings” my partner ordered the “barbecue chicken burger” but wasn’t made clear they were vegan. Not to be rude, but when I bit into it, I nearly vomited, same with my partner. The menu needs to be made clearer because it’s VERY misleading. Money that literally went into the trash!

You need to look for Temple of Hackney when you pull up. The building says Temple of Hackney. The food was great. I will add that the Mac & cheese looks like it is going to be hittin but it failed. Lack of flavor. With the way it looks I needed my taste buds to have been beat down. They also should add more cheese. Garlic powder, more cheese, a dash of paprika & the Mac & cheese might have been rocking a whole lot better. I would definitely go back though. This place is mouth watering. I will also add that the fries could use a little bit more flavor. If you are going to be a restaurant like this, taking real chicken out, you have to come with bold flavor, nothing minimal. They need to ramp up the flavor for my taste buds.

Very disappointed. We ordered for a two-person dinner on Friday evening via Uber Eats and they forgot one of the two burgers. In addition, one of the two fries were only half full. The large coleslaw was also half empty and the rest was cold. Since it arrived at 9:30pm, the restaurant was already closed, so we couldn't call them and request the missing items. Completely ruined our evening as it was too late to order anything else after waiting for an hour. They should really make sure to include all the items that people pay for. Used to order here all the time before without any problems, but won't return most likely after this experience.
