Always a pleasure to have a browse in the Futon Company. The staff at the Tunbridge Wells branch are excellent and really put themselves out for you. On my last visit I arrived just as the shop was closing, but they kept it open for me.

Most things that I have bought from here have tended to fall apart relatively quickly. The bigger ticket items are well made, but the smaller items like stalls, storage racks and coat hangers are not very well made.

Wrong components delivered by Futon Company; and they are making heavy weather of finding a solution when an acceptable alternative could have easily been offered in store today. Went in store three times to seek a solution. Simple solution staring us in the face, give us a matching set of covers close to what we wanted! If they don't have them, source them from another store. This couldn't be done apparently because staff in store have NO authority to deal with customer problems, they have to be kicked upstairs to head office. This would be the case whether it was an online order OR an in-store order, I'm told. Be very wary....IF there are any problems with items, you face big red tape issues re finding a solution. Apparently the store are having an "email conversation" with head office about it!! ...It's really not rocket science!

I walked into the store after a 30 mile drive, spoke to a sales rep who went to look for an order i had come to collect. An elderly lady from the till point shouted across the store what am i doing here twice. She then left her customers and ran towards me and asked me what am i doing to which i replied collecting an order. She then shouted across the store to the several customers that she will be with them shortly. The elderly lady then threw the mattress i had come to collect down the stairs and told me there is my mattress to which other customers in the store looked perplexed. I then carried the mattress to the main road on my own and she then says here is your other box and then locks the door behind her. I felt Racially outcasted whilst in the store other customers were looking at me. The ladies on the phone during the week were really helpful however when collecting my item today (Sunday 27th Jan 2019 at 11.15 am) I was totally discriminated against where no help was offered to help load my car considering Futon company says its a 2 man carry. This is extremely disappointing and I did not expect this from this store.
