Lovely family grocery shop. And Hermes delivery and pick up collection. And they sell Sage Derby cheese, you can't get it anywhere in the matlock area other than this shop.

The range of food is very good and prices are reasonable.
If you bake bread the flower is good quality.
The range of beer and wine is very good. Prices are often better than larger local supermarkets.
Something here for everyone and well worth a visit.

Kens Supermarket is the best little shop in Wirksworth. I get all my groceries there, and not having a car, get them delivered on a Thursday. Their fruit and vegetables are not refrigerated which makes them naturally ripe and much tastier. They have everything you need without having to trawl through endless supermarket aisles. The cheese selection is tempting, the milk from local dairies, the flowers delightful, and the wine well chosen and reasonably priced. A family run business, with all the local gossip and friendly staff - just ask for Alice. Forget about the Co-op. Leave your car at home and shop at Kens!

I have no idea how they manage to cram so much into such a small shop. It's probably not a place to do your weekly shop, but to stock up meantime. I doubt you'll fail to find the thing you need. A good selection of dairy products, beers, wines and spirits, bakery products, fruit and veg. Occasional special offers.
