I've been using this company for 19 years for all my PCs and Macs in my office.Jon is a brilliant computer engineer who really knows what he's doing. He often works some hours for free as he says he can work from home and likes to keep his fees to a minimum.This really is exceptional service.I've certainly never known a company to undercharge! I really cannot recommend this comany enough.

Our mac had logic board damage, this guy replaced the board at a cost of £460 including all relevant costs. 3 months later, his replacement part blew. From February through until today we have tried to get him to replace the board as our right under the consumer act and he has blamed a lack of supply, then COVID and then when he ran out of excuses, he just stop responding to my calls. When calling from another phone he is quite quick to pick up. This man uses shoddy parts and will ghost you when they break. We are applying to small claims court to get our refund. Update - the owner says this is a fake review, I wish the extra £500 I had to pay to Re-repair my laptop was also fake

I have had multiple issues with repairs carried out by Jon. I paid for him to fix my Mac which is still not working. I paid for parallels & windows programme for my mac but jon failed to provide key for parallels. I had to buy another licence. I am still have issues and despite leaving multiple voice, text messages he has not responded. He has blocked my calls. Interestingly he doesnot have a website listing and will not give you his contact e mail, just a phone number.Unprofessional. Unresponsive. Poor value. Poor quality. Expensive service.

Check all reviews that only have good and very bad. Chances are the good ones are fake. Months down the line I'm still reeling from the fallout of calling this man in. Deleted all the "free" software he installed without asking and he hasn't reimbursed me. He got almost everything wrong and I lost my emails and photos and he destroyed all the history on my hard drive.

Cost me 3 hours labour for a simple issue that was resolved by logging into correct profile on Windows 365 to load Outlook. £240 wasted. Didn't have a clue what the problem was. Basically wiped my laptop for no reason when the issue could have been resolved simply which in the end it was by my colleague over the phone. Not recommended at all for any work on a PC as he seemed to have zero understanding of them or of Windows. Avoid ARROGANT RUDE MAN - see further reply below. Absolute shyster AVOID ...total lies. He did not resolve the problem he created one by wiping the drive unneccesarily. Clueless or without any morals or both. Whatever save yourself the trouble also please be warned due to the number of bad reviews about his appalling service he is now calling himself Ace Computer Repairs be warned Also note that the VERY FEW good reviews use the same wording as each other. This man is a conman Also note the comment below as usual BLAME THE CUSTOMER so you are so incompetent you cant spot a log in issue then Jon ? Says it alll

Amazingly fast service. I was in meltdown because my laptop had lost all contact with the outside world following connecting to a budget hotel WiFi and I needed a quick repair for my business. Jon took under 30mins to get the replacement driver and update installed and get it all functioning again. This has saved me so much worry and I cannot thank them enough. Fantastic place that I thoroughly recommend.

Used this company to help set up new in home PC, transfer data and sync with Apple stuff. These guys are superb. They really know their stuff. They are doggedly determined to solve problems however tough. They do not give up. They are very very helpful and unlike many others don't patronise the less tech knowledgeable among us. Extremely good value for money and will definitely use them again.

He is a fraud , DO NOT USE HIM. I did not mix him up with another company. Pay him half the money and wait few days when the problem arises again call him. You will never see him again, Once he gets the full amount. He will never attend your calls ! AVOID AT ANY COST

Jon came to sort out my failed external hard drive which wasn't mounting on my Mac.It contained lots of valuable data which I was quoted £825 from another company to recover. I would have had to send it out to them too. I phoned Jon and he came out the same day.He installed a program which has recovered my data in its entirety. It only cost me £154 in total, so I'm absolutely delighted with the service this company provided.

I wish I had read these reviews before I asked this person to fix my computer. Don't be fooled by the various websites covering different areas, this is a one man band and a rogue trader. Other things went wrong after he fixed my computer, I pleaded with him to khelp me out but - NOTHING! He will probably try and defend himself below by giving all sorts of rubbish in his defense or try to blame me as he has done to others. He promised to email an invoice which he never did, that should also explain what sort of a professional he is. STAY WELL AWAY.

Excellent service from 24 hour pc repairs. An appointment was arranged to suit my complicated diary and they visited me at home on time. He was originally coming to extract information from an old computer to put onto a new PC. However, he was very helpful in guiding me through the installation of software and gave me very good advice on the workings of my new operating system. A task which would taken me hours! He made sure that I was confident about the operation of the new PC and offered to give supporting advice by phone, should I need it. I got PC Repairs' number from a friend who had also been very happy with their service. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. I am a very happy customer!

I was not able to fire up my laptop. I telephoned Jon at 8.30am and he was round at my house by 10.00am that day to pick it up and take it back with him for further investigation. He telephoned me later that day with his findings. As the laptop was in excess of 5 years old, I decided not to have it repaired so he downloaded all the date onto a stick for me and brought it back to me. A first class service and I have no hesitation in recommending him. I shall certainly be using him again when the need arises.

I came to them with an issue with the battery in my Mac and they assured me that it will be replaced by an original Apple battery. Not only that it was not an original Apple battery, the battery itself was not working. They made a bad situation even worse. When I tried confronting them with it, they insisted that the battery they gave me is a good one. They also promised, several times, to come over and replaced the faulty battery. At some point, they stopped answering my text messages and forgot all their promises. When I finally got to replace the battery, some place else, I saw that the battery they installed is actually BROKEN!! Since then I haven't heard back from them. Not an apology or an offer to pay me back the money I paid them. I ended up paying £160 for a broken battery and a visit. Stay away from them!!!

we agreed I would be kept up to date on costs - a week later I received a phone call to tell me that nothing could be done and I would have to pay £400 for data recovery and £50 for a external hard drive - like an idiot I paid only they didn't actually recover much data (if they explained the little they could do, I wouldn't have worried about it) and they put the data on a £25 hard drive. When I questioned costs, they told I was told that a favour had been done for me as in reality, £1000 worth of work had been done - again, I never agreed for that. Never received a receipt, never received an invoice for the initial £80 I paid in cash.

We've been using this business for 12 years now. We don't need anyone else as they always come out promptly (usually the same day).Their engineers are all highly knowledgeable and polite. For the last job, my imac fan was noisy.The engineer took the whole thing apart and replaced the CPU fan, and now everything is fine! Highly recommended.

My computer wasn't booting into Windows and I needed it running asap. The engineer came within 1 hour, and was very knowledgeable and polite. He supplied me with a Windows 7 license, and a new hard drive. He left a full receipt and guarantee for his work, so I can only give praise. Have recommended him to many friends since.

Jon spent an extra half hour loading 'helpful' apps onto other computers he said he would help with while we await the reboot of the iMac he came to fix. I assumed this was part of the service because he never asked if I wished to purchase any apps. He then casually announced before leaving and by pointing at each computer, that the software for that one is £45, that one £35 etc to the tune of £215 bringing the total cost to £335. I was shocked and told him that one of the computers was my wife's work based computer and I did not want to be charged for fixing the computer of a corporation. He removed the apps from this computer and £125 from the fee but I was becoming increasingly irritated and my trust in him dropped dramatically as a consequence of his approach. Still reeling, I paid £210 online under duress before having a chance to review the outcome. Which I now have. Jon advertises a 'No Fix – No Fee Policy' but at the same time rushed me, the customer, to pay online before he had left and before I had a chance to check if anything had in fact been fixed. It hadn't. The apps he mis-sold me, I have since discovered, were free and gratis anyway. He appears to have provided a month subscription and these 'subscriptions' then run out. They were Malwarebytes, iDefrag (I can buy memory defrag for 99p) Onynx, ClamXav (also free but only £19.99 to buy the full version) and CleanMyMac 1.5. CleanMyMac is now on version 3 and I am unable to upgrade to this from the software he loaded. I believe Jon is just creating opportunities for selling old software that he happens to have on a memory stick to unsuspecting customers who do not know any better and so whom put their trust in him. Worse – he is using a sales technique that plays to this ignorance and is highly immoral. During our call I attempted to calmly put my thoughts to Jon. He stated several times 'that's your opinion'. He also rejected my attempt at giving feedback to help him see how his service appears to us customers. I used an analogy to suggest that a car garage doesn't charge a customer for works on a car if it involves needing parts that have an extra cost until they have cleared cost with the customer – in case they do not want it. Jon countered this with "Well then I want the number of your garage because mine does and all garages do..." In effect telling me I am wrong and he is right. After our call I checked the reviews of this company on social media sites and such and noted that other complainers attempting to share their views are attacked by Jon and his company with attempts to discredit them. An open reply to one person says; 'this customer was visiting dodgy websites'. Jon's approach disgusts me. Does he not see that this is bad customer service at best. It is cruel, rude, bullying and lacking in sound business ethics at worst. Jon is self-serving and money-oriented at whatever the cost. And the cost is the appropriate level of care toward the customers. I want a full refund. I deserve a full refund. I expect nothing from these sharks! Avoid Jon and his company like the plague.
