Booked a bulb fitting online for 23 March. Arrived at the garage and was told that nobody was available to do the fitting and I should leave my car with them as they didn't know how long it would take. I don't live locally so couldn't drop my car off and go home. I said I booked it in for 4 pm. They said that's just a drop off time, not a book in time. Well that isn't what the website says when you book in advance. I asked for a refund and they magically became available instantly. They took the bulb out, went away, then came back 10 mins later and told me they don't actually have the bulb in stock. They said they would cancel the order and refund me. 3 weeks later and I have not been refunded. Just checked my emails and they've actually sent me an invoice saying that they completed the work. They even include a "vehicle health report" with a load of completely made up numbers about my tire tread and mileage. They even said I requested a fuel system cleaner!! I was stood right next to my car for the duration and they did not check any of these things. Seems like they were hoping I'd forget about my refund and not check. I almost did! Will be contacting Halfords customer services for my refund and making a complaint about this branch. Con artists.

Having been told that I would be contacted when the car was ready and having asked if it would take about an hour - without contradiction - I did not get a phone call or text and decided to go back to the garage after 2 hours to find the car already on the forecourt. I have no idea how long it had been there. 2 hours would have been plenty of time to replace 4 tyres! The manager apologised for not contacting me. Not very good service.

Scamming liars. I was forced to go here after my tyre punctured on the way to an appointment. Which set me back 120 for ONE "brand new tyre"! I had to take my son to an appointment so I left the car with them as the tyre i needed was not in stock. When picking up the car the tyre didn't look particularly new and from the 1st day the air pressure was low. Long story short I paid 120 for them to pump up a popped tyre which is currently sitting at 0 psi. Now I need to call green flag to towe me to a REAL garage. I'm fuming as I could of had or caused a very SERIOUS accident. Disgusting

Great service from everyone. needed bulb in indicator on works van spotted the centre as I was leaving Nottingham. Stopped on the off chance of getting a repair done and within 5 minutes they were onto it. Soon figured out how to access the bulb in the wing mirror and within 10 mins I was back on the road again

Richard, the branch manager at Halfords Auto Centre Nuthall Road, Nottingham, and his team did a very professional job today at short notice, replacing my battery on my car.
Great service and friendly staff, the service that they deliver is consistently high, as we had used their branch earlier in the year when my wife’s car needed servicing.Richard’s level of service was outstanding on that occasion also.
We would highly recommend their branch to friends and colleagues, and wish them all continued success.

Took car in for a wheel alignment. I accidentally booked online for the wrong day but they managed to fit me in. I did expect a before/after wheel alignment report but didn't get one, but they did do a vehicle health check which highlighted that I needed a new battery. Car handles the same after the wheel alignment as it did before, so without a report I'm not sure if my wheels were actually out of alignment or if I've just spent £32 for a free health check.

Fantastic service. Had a nail in the tyre and the vale cap had seized on. No issues for them. Got me straight In fixed the issue at minimal cost. Plugged the puncture. Replaced the valve all in about 20 mins. Will happily travel back to that Halfords for the service alone.

I went and took my Audi for a free brake and cam belt check by booking online. Once I arrived the staff at the reception was very helpful and guided me through everything.
I left my car there for 2 hours and confirmed their findings and that my brakes are fine for now but the cam belt does need changing as per manufacturers recommendation. They booked my slot and told me how long it would take.
The job was finished in 6 hours which I was surprised as it’s normally a lengthy process.
My biggest praises are for the reception team for keeping me updated through the whole process and for not charging for the water pump change.
Very much recommend this location no force selling or false information.

Absolute disgrace, I feel robbed! I took my car in for a service, rear tyres and break pads and was assured it would be ready for the next day at 12pm as I was driving to FRANCE. I came back at 12:10pm the next day and the car was still on the ramp, they explained the tyres were late, I waited until 12:30pm and the tyres were still not there. I asked them to put the original tyres on and got on my way to avoid missing my Eurotunnel booking. This I could live with, however prior to handing my keys over, I explained that I would need the major service as I didn’t want any issues when abroad, they explained oil and brake fluid will be changed along air and oil filter with all other liquids just being topped-up.
I get halfway to France and the engine coolant light comes on again, just as it it before the service, explaining that is it was low and still needed topping up. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR A MAJOR SERVICE!
So it turns out they didn’t top up the engine coolant and who knows if they even changed the filters/oil or any other of the liquids!
Additionally I also had the rear break pads changed - now on their website they explain that the use either original or original equipment quality.. that’s not true either as they have fitted on Pagid break pads and charged me £170 (which is £5 more expensive than a Mercedes dealship!) I would expected Brembo pads - which as a cost to them would have been £10 more, but they are too cheap to even do that when charging me £170!! Unbelievable!
I’m left not knowing exactly what work was done to the car and the quality at which it was done. Disgusted by the service!
As I said, I’m left feeling frustrated and robbed! Not happy! Will be putting in a formal complaint and leaving a negative on all platforms of the matter is not sorted out!!! Absolute joke!

Look else where ! Rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, abrupt, unethical, misleading, practically booked car in came back at requested time to collect (2hours) and was told not looked at the car!! honestly the worst encounter ever! Try another branch definitely dont ever go to nuthall road garage, if u do be prepared to feel awful when finishing with them..Halfords is a good brand but some of the staff are appalling!!! Zero stars not 1

Excellent customer service, from dropping my vehicle off in the morning to collection in the afternoon. Staff all seem happy to be there, smiling and polite. Richard was my point of call and he was very helpful, explained everything that had been done to my vehicle which was the Free wheel balance check. I had all wheels balanced and Front wheel alignment which definitely needing doing. Thank you, I will use this garage from now on and highly recommend to all.

I think its unusual that it would cost me £50 to diagnose a problem, and then the cost of repair and parts on top of that. Especially if I've already outlined the problem, and it should be a simple job thats easy to get to. You would think diagnosing the problem would be free as I'm already choosing to pay for parts and labour here. Most garages don't charge to diagnose a problem if you pay them to fix it.
