I purchased the black volvo XC90 from them. Absolutely no trouble with dealing with them and they kept their promise of the trade in price for my car (a lot of dealers will say one price but when you bring in your car they will always find a excuse to lower their valuation!) the XC90 was in immaculate condition as advertised. Had the car now for 2 weeks and no trouble so far. I read from reviews that Usman Mehmud also wanted to buy this car, I suppose it’s one of those situation where the first person to actually put down the deposit to hold this car will get it. I guess I was lucky as i just put down a deposit before Usman. Mind you that I been in contact with them via email since it was first advertised so its not that i suddenly jumped in with the deposit.

Definitely one to avoid. Told me that holding deposit is non refundable unless I find an issue with the car. I arranged finance and asked the sales guy Tony (awfully unpleasant chap BTW) to send this in an email. He agreed but sent me an email 5 mins later saying he's sold the car despite of telling me that the car was available. I'm sure he was hiding something and didn't want to send anything in writing. Not sure how such people manage to keep their jobs!
Got a response via email from the dealership via email today (27.08.2019, pasted below). They sound like an absolute delight to deal with..

Do you know when people read negative reviews, they make a balanced decision taking into account previous reviews, and also the previous reviews they can see made by the reviewer. What a whinger you are....man up and grow up!
There were absolutely NO ISSUES with the XC90 at all, and how could there be? 44,000 miles, 1 company owner, FULL MARSHALL VOLVO SERVICE HISTORY, last serviced 900 miles ago at Marshall Volvo!
Anyway the other customer, Mr Wai Law collected yesterday and was absolutely over the moon with the car, couldn't believe how immaculate it was! He will be leaving an outstanding review, and possibly quote your name so other customers will see how sad and pathetic you are!
If you had been a switched on person, with some balls and common sense, you would have checked your own credit rating or requested we put you through with Close Brothers. That way you'd have known instantly if you were going to pass, and you could have left the deposit, and not missed out on this excellent car. Prices of the high spec XC90's are going up as we speak!

I came up from St Albans for a low mileage Audi A8. When the garage was very busy when I arrived so had to wait for a short period of time but it was worth the wait. The car is excellent and the customer service was brilliant. I would highly recommend.

Pleasant enough until you do not agree with a valuation or your expectations differ. Had issues with the car after it was purchased (2 weeks later) called Tony who informed me that the car was fine when he sold it to me (It worked when I sold it to you and what do you expect for a 2nd hand car) and that I now need to deal with the warranty company. Tried to explain that my sales contract is with him but he just got agitated and wanted to end the call.
I would not recommend them and I would also advise Tony to research the sales of goods act.

Rang up before visiting, explained I was coming from far away and wished to view a vehicle. They agreed. I showed up at opening time but waited 20 mins before the manager even arrived. He spent 10 mins opening up before I was informed the car I wanted to view was elsewhere. Lack of paperwork, lack of commenting on the vehicle and the general "vibe" was that I would be ripped off. They did give me a decent test drive though.

When i went to look at the car i found Tony very pleasant and not at all pushy,unlike a lot of car salesmen. I took it for a test drive and was impressed with the car. A few days later i took the car for a second test drive and decided to buy it. Once again i was left to look around the car thoroughly on my own without an pressure. I collected the car the following week.One of the keys didn't start the car and whilst driving home the airbag warning light came on.As soon as i got home I rang him and told him about the two issues. He was very apologetic and told me to take the car back and he would get the problems sorted out. True to his word he did at no cost whatsoever to me.I have had the car two months now and i am very pleased with it. From my experience i would highly recommend Tony and his team

Well what can I say about this company... highly recommed to anyone looking to buy a car! I had a Vauxhall Astra looking at trading it in for a Mini Countryman. I contacted Tony at Sportline cars, and he couldn’t of been more helpful, it wasn’t the easiest sale and I explained to him that I currently had negative equity on the current car, he help me every step of the way, he arranged to trade my car in for a good price, along with clearing the negative equaity and dealt with the old finance company on my behalf... to then arranging the new finance out on the Mini, with close brothers. He let me use his computer to sort out taxing my new car, and also helped me with taking my private number plate of the old car and putting it on retention, and even explained what I would need to do for the new car when I got the retention certificate etc. After a couple of days of driving my new car a warning light popped up on the dash board (it was only the senor thank god) but before knowing it was only the cars sensor I messaged Tony - he quickly replied and insisted if it persisted to take the car back as soon as possible. I have come across plenty of car sales men, and Tony will leave a lasting impression for the quality service he provided me. In the future when I am thinking of purchasing another new car I shall 100% be getting back in contact with him as I know he is someone I can trust.

A few years ago I bought an Alfa, after 24hrs the gearbox failed. Went back over to Sportsline where I was told the warranty would cover it, though that was not the case. Went back and told by the large chap with the attitude there it's my car now. I suppose a little naive as I later found out it was protected and could have just taken them to court, but I left it to late to do anything about it. It cost me over 1k to fix the gearbox of a car that cost my 1.5k. Oh, I should mention sales pushy too.

.I'm a great believer that you only get what you pay for . They have some great cars on there forecourt ( no nails ) The best part is the warranty it gives you peace of mind . ( you don't get that from a private sale ) . as soon as you drive into sportline you can tell its no back street sales outlet . well done lads me and the wife are very pleased with our new car and I will defo be doing business with you again . BUYER BEWARE !
This company is unprofessional. A very rude obnoxious salesman tried to charge me 2% fee on my cash payment, because i was paying partly by credit card. I was treated very badly after i'd paid my NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT !
When I complained to the manager he was very flippant, did not address my complaint, and LAUGHED AT ME !
Find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money. AVOID SPORTLINE CAR SALES AT ALL COSTS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
