Can't comment on their work, their mechanic checked my car (who was very helpful) and i was quoted £174.97 for new wheel bearings. Kwik Fit checked it too with same diagnosis and quoted me £126 so they carried out the work while i waited (both quote's Inc VAT) got full brake report too and road test.

Left car for servicing and MOT at 8.30 am. Got call at 4.30PM (closing time 6PM) that car needs whee alignment and wheel balancing which would cost £122. I wish someone would have called earlier and it's looked like gentleman was trying to rip off by calling very late and offering price. Though service was good and very reasonable price for servicing and MOT.

Don’t use them, they do not care for safety at all. I’ve done a service B in Formula 1 for my Mercedes Leicester Sunday and Monday morning I was driving on the M1 Motorway and it was heavy rains. What happened is the cover that supposed to protect the engine below the car, half of it went down and caused extreme sound as the cover was touching the road and I was driving about 70mile/per hour. If they couldn’t take care of this small thing what about brakes and other safety matters!!! I’m not going to use them again

Initially I had a booking for 26/08 to replace all the tyres (made via internet and paid in full). I was the 2nd customer on that day and handed my keys for the work to be done. While I was killing my time in the customer waiting area, one of the mechanic turns up after almost 1.5 hours to tell me that the tyres I ordered online are not in stock and to come back on Tuesday 28/08 as 27/08 is a bank holiday. The mechanic said the tyres would definitely be in by 10 am on Tuesday. But, this time I decided to ring them first and then head towards their garage as I live in Loughborough (10 miles away from garage). The person who received the call said he will confirm if the tyres are in stock but, after 5 mins waiting he replies that they will be in at 3pm. Once I reached there at 14:25, it took them 2.5 hrs to replace all the tyres. I didn't have any choice but to take day off from work to get this job done as I wanted the car for work. I did write a message to their customer service but so far no reply. I have been formula one autocentre customer for long when I used to live in Northampton and they were quite good but this service I received at Leicester autocentre was disappointing and in future I will use someone more genuine and honest.

Absolutely awful. Had an MOT with this garage and my car failed due to ‘serious’ leaking rear shock absorbers. Quoted me £242 to replace them and have a ‘Geometry check incl front toe adjustment’. It seemed abit suspicious to me and a second MOT confirmed it - not even an advisory! Dishonesty at it’s finest.

Lousy service! Arrived at 08:35. Advised at 09:20 that tyres booked days before had not arrived from tyre supplier and asked to come back in late afternoon! This after receiving a reminder not to miss my appointment! Internet sales and bookings regarded as a nuisance by branch staff but they have a good system to pass the problem back to Internet sales for order cancellation and credit ( they must have had practice). I took my business elsewhere and would advise you to do the same.

Fantastic place. After having an official dealer service it came back with service error still lit. Brought it here and they checked the error for free and reset it for me. I also found out I could have had the service with them for half the price! Will definitely be going here next time. Can't recommend them enough.

Really negative experience with Formula One, having been recommended their services from family members, I decided to take my car down to get 2 front tyres changed. Upon arrival, I explained the situation and was laughed at when I explained my tyre had a bulge on it and the man thought it would be funny to tell other members of the team how my car should not have passed its MOT (it did, but that is a different matter). I was asked what size my tyres were but had no idea so asked for some advice, the man checked and asked me to come back in an hour and would be charged £45 per tyre. Upon my arrival back to the garage, I was told that I had made a mistake and told them the incorrect tyre size??? My car looked ridiculous with 2 massive front tyres on and 2 small back ones. After 10 minutes of explaining that he himself had checked the size of the tyres, he finally gave up blaming me for his mistake and asked me to come back tomorrow to collect my car. This was really inconvenient as my day off had been wasted trying to sort out these 2 simple tyres. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable and was talked too like rubbish.  Even if I did state a specific tyre size surely as experts they would have picked up on the fact this was incorrect?? Finally, went back the following day to collect my car, and was greeted by a more friendly member of staff, who still tried to blame me for giving an incorrect tyre size??  and charged me £55 per tyre, not sure where the previous £45 came from? and got no response when I asked why my quoted price was changed. Left the garage with no apology and feeling very unconfident in the service I had received. Will not be using them again or recommending to anyone.

Amazing! Fantastic service!! Just wanted one of my tyres checking as was pretty low, drove up to formula 1 as nearby. Pulled up in front of the entrance to bays and asked one of the lads on his break to please check my tyre. Wanted to make sure there was no nails/puncture. Gent who checked my tyre didn't have much time as the place was busy and said I'd have to wait around 20mins/half hour. Long story short; had my tyre checked thoroughly, water leak tested, puncture repaired, wheel balalnced and on my way within 15mins without having to wait. All the lads looked after me and even though my hub caps weren't the best fitting, lads did a great job gluing back on. Many thanks F1! Always prefer getting my tyres done here. Always have done. The last visit was the best experience. I did say to the lads, make sure their boss treats them to a good night out.... (PAUL!!) Well done lads at F1 Leicester! Keep it up. A lot of places have forgotten what good customer service is.

Went in on Saturday 14/04/18 for a full service and was told my rear shock absorbers wear leaking and also front toe adjustment needed doing thought this carnt be right as I only had MOT few months ago so today Monday 16/04/18 went out my way and went to the dealership I brought the car from and had MOT done and surprise surprise there’s no problem with my car so they tired to rip me off £246.59!!! Absolutely disgusting how they would rip people off like this do not be a victim of this!!

Absolutely shocking service. Appalling people skills and they seem to just say something different each time. Never got my issue fixed even but they were quick to take my money. The branch is really reluctant to fix anything under warrenty and kept on fobbing me off. Paid and got my issue fixed at another garage. Won't be coming here again.

Last month i had a tyre replaced at this place . They changed the tyre but missed out two locking nuts and for one and half months i have been travelling all over the country with 2 locking nuts instead of 4. I failed my MOT because of this and thereafter contacted them . While th person attending was symaphetic and promised me that the regional manager will speak to me and provide an explanation , nobody has done so. This is negligence of the highest order. If you love your life , please avoid this place .

Very bad Experiance, Clearley they must have some Sales Targets as by reading other reviews I realise they Fail people on MOT on the same things, I ended up paying almost 800 pounds, 169 for MOT and Master service plus 600 for repairs ! Damaged my car 1) Rear Tail Light 2) Lost my Locking Key 3) Not performed a Master Service Correctly as if they would they would notice the Laud Noise from the engine ( their Foult - Air Filter problem ), No 40 from the Master service check list is: Road Test ... so if they did it right they would hear the noise.. I feel I did not get what I paid for so Now after spending all that money I need to pay for another service to make sure Its been done Right. Don't Go There

This was my first time using their services. As I watched the lad who worked on my car, I was absolutely expressed by the checks he did to make sure my car was safe to driven on public roads plus my family safety. You might wonder why 4 stars! the reason is the NOTE that came with my service confirmation for the date and time I should turn for my MOT. It reads: If you take your car away to fix in-case it failed MOT you are required to pay again to be re-checked. In other ways you are forced to give them the job to fix your car regardless of the cost they charge. This NOTICE should be displayed clearly on the paying payment page so the customer can make that choice not the F1Autocentre. As you claim to be family owned business you are aware that not all families cannot afford your prizes and they could have a uncle/brother who can fix that little MOT failure that occurred. Customers should be given that choice everywhere. Make it clear and concise in your payment page. I don't see anything wrong with the services you provide to your customer . I will call again for other services regardless of my statement . Thank you for looking after my bmw.

If i could do no stars i WOULD! terrible place! I was ripped off when changing my brake pads and discs, they are quick to take the money , my car came out the garage making a awful loud squeeking noise when braking, that never happened before, only after going into this garage and my car was only 3 years old. Rude staff that make u wait for ages for the car to be seen! I called up to tell them and to arrange a appointment for it to be seen to avoid waiting time, they refused to give me a appointment, so wen i brought the car back in and told them the car is making a noise wen braking, they made me sit 2 hours before the car was even seen to be told that ther was nothing rong and it might just need time for the brakepads to settle as they are ‘new’. Now 8 months later still making a LOUD annoying and embarassing squeeky noise and only getting worse. I have had to take it to two other garages to make sure the problem was the same and im not being fooled, only to be told by both of them that formula one have ripped me off and put the cheapest quality rear breakpads in my car and that was what was making the noise, they both removed the pads and showed me them. i have now had to have them replaced for better quality brake pads paying MORE MONEY again !!!! They charge you ALOT for cheapest lowest quality parts in your car plus the waiting around for hours. AVOID AVOID AVOID to prevent further problems and costs on ur car!

Went to fix two tyres take them 1h 30mins to fix also they did wheel alligment but nobody explained it not free so I paid extra £30 . Costumer service they need to improve. Dealing with many people at same time. I think waiting time should be less than that.

Brought the tyres on line and picked a date and AM slot. Had a blowout on another tyre the day before was due to have 2 new ones fitted so needed 3 went in to that day to try and get 1 fitted and asked if they could do the 2 that I already brought a day early and was told no but could fit the 1 extra. Arrived to get the tyres fitted the next day and was waiting for 2 hours the car was in the shop but the staff was floating from cat to car and did not stop on one job.

May be my last visit. After using F1 on Abbey Lane on multiple occasions for different vehicles I booked my Kia in for a service. Took the car in at 8-30 as requested when I completed the online form and was told would be called when it was ready. Around noon I called to see if there was any news as we were passing on our way home to be told they hadn't even started it and it was next. Some 40 mins later as we passed I saw my car still parked outside. Later in the afternoon I was called and told the service was done and there were a couple of issues. Firstly the front brakes needed sorting which I knew and also both front tyres needed replacing as there was wear on the inside and the wheel alignment was out. The tyre issue I found strange as the car was MOT'd there in December and no mention of that . the wheel alignment I can understand given the roads the car travels daily. I called back and said to do the brakes but will leave the tyres. I must stress no issue with the brakes or service. We have had the tyres looked at by another company and they have said that there is nothing wrong with them. Should be good for around 6000 miles. Now either that company do not want my business or F1 are being dishonest I will let readers of this review decide. I appreciate the may be targets to hit but if that is achieved through taking advantage of regular customers then I will no longer be a customer. Rob Noble

Took my bmw 3 series for an MOT and service after getting what I thought was a good deal £165. Got a phone call saying back tyres needed changing so told them to go ahead. Tyres cost £125 each but I ended up with a bill of £400 due to all the little extras and VAT etc. So altogether it cost £575 for a service, MOT and 2 mid range Pirelli tyres. What seemed to be a good deal when comparing online ended up being a lot more expensive due to the work costing a lot more than other places. The work carried out seems to be fine but very expensive!

Avoid like the plague!!! I took my car to these as it was not starting properly and kept cutting out now and again. They said they had it on a diagnostic kit and nothing came up then had a look manually and then said it’s the battery so putting my confidence in them I said ok go ahead and change the battery. Anyways picked up the car paid the £70 for a new battery and off I went only to realise the problem had got worse so I took it to another garage and they said it was the crank shaft sensor they changed it for me and hey presto the car runs perfect as it should the new garage also said it looks like the bolt to the sensor had been tampered with and couldn’t understand why they said they couldn’t get the fault up as it should have came up straight away so I think that’s proof enuf to say I’ll never be using formula 1 ever again and I’m warning anyone to also stay away!!!!!

Do not go here !!!! my father , who is a pensioner,took his car for a tyre change and the mechanic ended up writing his car off while doing it , not only that they refused to mend his car which he treasured and they didn't treat him very well and he has ended up being very stressed about it and ended up having to get a car he didn't want with the money they gave him , all in all a very bad experience I would sincerely recommend not going here

To whom it may concern - Warning Formula one autocenter Leicester performed an MOT and service on my car and failed it on a few points including brake discs and pads. Having the discs and pads changed less then 3000 miles before I took the car to a different garage and they stated that I had 90% left on the discs and pads. Also the electronic handbrake was showing failed when I picked the car up from F1 autocenter and could be heard rubbing on the discs when driving away making it dangerous to drive. This was working perfectly fine when I dropped it off and when I questioned them I was told "It must have stretched when we were testing it" and refused to fix it. This ment I was unable to use my vehicle losing work and money in the process. They also over charged me from the price I was quoted from this site even though the details of my car were included in the original booking, stating "we had to use more oil" Although when questioned they did refund the difference.

Went there and left the car to do a full master service and wen I find out that the the only thing that is changed is oil and filter no diesel filter no cabine filter to me it sounds like a sort service and for 180 pounds that's what it says on the website but I would never ever take my car there again and my brother had the same problem its a joke to a service would not recommend this place to no one

unfortunatly on returning home after having two new tyres fitted i happened to look over them and realised the wrong tyres had been put on, meaning a return visit to Leics. This was further to having phoned the new coalville site and placing order for two tyres and an oil sensor switch, on turning up on the agreed day they had no tyres or switch to fit and no record of my call.

Paul and the guys will always do their best to give you a good deal and squeeze you in no matter how busy they are. Top Lads & Top Service!???? I recently took my BMW to Sytner Leicester for MOT and software upgrade. They told me I needed to spend £800 on a new headlight module and headlight to pass the MOT. Told them to stick it up their exhaust pipe! I took it to Formula 1, gave them new bulbs which they fitted FOC! Car passed it's MOT. Cost £15 for 2 bulbs + £25 for the MOT! RESULT!!!????????????

The staff were polite and the service ok but the price charged for the Brakes to be repaired at the Leicester Branch £ 437 this was more than the main Vauxhall dealer would have charged and £ 65 more than the other local Formula One Branch at Wigston would have charged. My suggestion if you live in Leicester use the Wigston Branch as they don,t overcharge.

Having searched the web for a good deal, F1 came out top. Ordering/booking was relatively easy (but for some reason the website was trying to insist it should be Liverpool (not Leicester)! But got there in the end. A pity there were not time slots, which the Liverpool depot seemed to have - just a.m. or p.m. Arived at 09.30, was told it would be about an hour. Finally checked out at 11.30! What a long tedious wait. Not sure why other customers were coming and gouing during this time - and my car wasn't looked at for an hour after arrival. Reasonably comfortable waiting room - but pity no coffee machine to help while away the time. Only papers available were Sun and Daily Mail - would have been good to have a broadsheet as well. Used the w.c. - disappointed that the hand drier didn't work. Apart from that, the job seemed to be done OK.

MOT visit booked on line. MOT carried out on time and only complaint was that it took nearly 1.25 hours as i was advised to be 15 minutes early for the appointment. Although the centre was very busy the idea of booking a time slot is that my visit was a scheduled event.

Took my Seat Leon Stage 2 Cupra R in for an oil leak. They was happy to look at the car up on the ramp but then brought it back down off the ramp and told me they will not repair the leak because it's not worth their time? I thought they were a garage that does repairs not only did they tell me my car will be ready for me to collect in half hour I end up coming back in half hour and waiting another 45 minutes what kind of garage tells you the repair is not worth their time when the car has had a lot of time, money and upgrades and and all I want to do is keep it running August 2018

Awful... what ever you do, don't prepay for tyres as you'll be sat waiting whilst people walking in off the street get served before you! Over 2.5 hours for 2 front tyres fitted and attitude of staff was shocking
