Full on blowout pulling 17k 5th wheel trailer. Could not find anyone to help me out except excuses. Somehow found Wrecker 1 and they are the Ultimate one stop take care of you with a smile people! They had the equipment and knowledge to get me back on my travels. I went from worrysome to really feeling taken care of. They had no excuses just solutions and delivered in a professional manner.
When I first called, the admin staff was giving such great advice that she almost solved my issue free of charge. What I'm saying is that they are more concerned about taking care of you that they will risk losing a paying job to help you out instead of just taking your money! Pure ethics here! I carry their number in my contacts now as my first call when I'm with my trailer. I'm a full time RV'er in the picture I'm the old guy on the left. Thanks to the Wrecker 1 staff!!

My perception of Wrecker 1 is that they have some sort of "racket" going on. They were called by the Henry Police without my consulting or agreement even though I was on the scene. They refused to tow the totaled car to my house 1.5 miles down the road and said their policy is to strictly tow to their yard 3.7 miles away. They wanted $654 the next day to release my car. Refused to give me a breakdown of the charges (how much to tow 3.7 miles? how much 1 night storage?). Barbara at first lied that they had to flip the car on its wheels before they could tow: I had pictures to prove otherwise. They got it on the tow truck in less than 10 minutes and I was there the whole time. My understanding is this shameless company gouges their coerced customers wrestled by the Henry Police Dept contracting them.

We were heading to Michigan from Florida and totaled both our truck and RV. The whole staff was amazing. The offered to let us store stuff there if we couldn't take it all home. Helped us move stuff to storage and load the uhaul. They gave us trash bags to put our stuff in m. Not sure why the bad reviews, because we couldn't be happier with everything about this company. They went out of their way to help us and every person was so kind.

Needed a tow for my tractor trailer, they were quick to respond and took great care with removing anything that could be damaged while being towed.
Their operator Roger was professional, polite and well experienced.
The office was polite and courteous on the phone and called me to let me know when the truck was on its way, also because of the COVID 19 outbreak they provided a UBER for me.
My only complaint is they were a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, their equipment was top notch and I'd rather pay a little more for great service than get a discount tow and a damaged truck.

Worst, overpriced, unprofessional place I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. They wouldn’t let me go to my car, they wouldn’t give me time to read the documents I was presented with, they tried to charge me an outrageous fee for having my car for two days. The woman working behind the counter is rude and I’m pretty convinced the tall, bald, pro wrestler looking dude is racist. My family and I were treated like criminals the entire time we were there. If you have any say in where they/you take your car, DO NOT take it here, this place needs to hire a whole new staff or be shut down completely!!!.

As I do most places I read reviews and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The lobby was clean. And the owner Stacey is willing to work with me. Will add further info in the future. Well, overall I would recommend this place. As I said before the owner is willing to work with you all she wants is her money just like any other business. If your vehicle gets impounded here, then you need to speak to Stacy and tell her your circumstance and she is willing to help you. Don't go in there with an attitude just be very nice and see if there's some way that you can maybe make payments.. the owner is a kind lady and is willing to work with anyone. I would recommend this place

Am amazed at the compassion, kindness, and professionalism of this company. My son was recently in a wreck, and Wrecker 1 was on duty for Henry County to tow his truck in. The truck was totaled, and my son was hospitalized... I had everything I needed and they allowed me to retrieve his personal belongings. The kindness thing was they allowed me to see pictures of the truck prior to actually taking me to it so I would not be too shocked with what I was going to see. He is blessed to be alive, and I am so thankful that the personnel at wrecker were so kind.

ZERO STARS if that were possible. Terrible company. Would never refer out to anyone. Charged us over 8,000 to tow a truck to their yard when we told them we would pay a bill and that we wanted them to drop our truck off at our shop which was only a few miles down the road. They told us that they didn't have the bill ready at the time at that it had to go to their shop. Well what they don't tell you is that everyday the truck sits on their lot, they charge you an additional $175 each day. We had them come out to flip over our dump truck and tow it. Last year we had a different company come out to a location much further away and flip a truck back over for us and they only charged $800. So why on earth does this crooked company think that $8,000 is okay?! Terrible people and a terrible company. Would NEVER recommend to anyone.

This place and Bulldog used to be in the same facility as far as I know bulldog rented space from them but seperated. Long story short they are both rackets HCPD scouts out cars to call in to these crooks as some sort of racket. No reason why a tow from exit 224 to their facility should cost me $410?? And you have to pay to retrieve your items. And they break into your vehicle which I had specifically locked in case some crooks with a truck took it before I could get back to the interstate with a new rotor and tire for my f150. I let them keep it especially since it accrues a $175 daily fee to keep it on the lot. And remember you have to retrieve your tag and sign your title over to them so they can’t charge you some insane lot rent at the end of the year

This place is the most unprofessional place I've ever experienced. I came to retrieve some personal effects for my mother from her car. I was told she had to sign a form giving me authorization to retrieve the items and that they close at 5pm. I'm given the form, I have my mother fill it out and come back the next day. I return the next day at 4:30pm, the gate is closed, so I call the office number. The person that answers basically asks me why I'm there, then a man comes out of the office, approaches the gate and tells me that they close at 4:30pm and they've seen their last customer. Of course, I explain that I was told they closed at 5pm. I know from working in customer service for many years not to become irate, or rude but to calmly explain that the information I was given just yesterday was completely different. After some back and forth, I'm allowed to enter and a different woman (Barbara, I think ), in the RUDEST fashion I've experienced, begins stating a process completely different than what her employees told me yesterday. I proceed to explain that a detailed explanation of their process was not given to me by her employee. Not to mention that employee was standing right beside her during this exchange. To add further insult, I watched as a customer that arrived after me was taken care of with politeness, professionalism and explained in great detail the next steps for his car. This place must have a friend in high places to have obtained a contract with the city/county for accidents. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you have a choice, DO NOT choose this place.

We were in our 43' RV heading into the Atlanta metro area. The red STOP ENGINE light came on which forced us onto the side of the interstate. Wrecker 1 was dispatched to help us out and the driver/operator was David. He was OUTSTANDING in expertise, his professional demeanor and his people skills. He took such good care of us and our dog while he was with us preparing our coach for tow. He even provided cold water for us while he was there. He was most concerned about our safety and had us move our tow car in front of his wrecker while he was there to protect us from being rear ended. We can't say enough good things about this company and their most excellent choice of employees!!

Wrecker 1 was called when a tractor-trailer rear-ended my SUV and camper trailer hundreds of miles from my home. We are so thankful they were on the scene and with us each step of the way as we worked on getting what we could out of the totalled SUV and camper. They were incredibly kind and helpful.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Overpriced, unfriendly, and extremely unprofessional. They would not tow us where we requested, but instead took us back to sit on their yard, where they added on a daily fee for it to sit until we paid the outrageous bill they charged. We have made the authority's aware of them and their crooked ways. If you do not believe me, just keep scrolling the hundreds of other 1 star reviews should speak for themselves. They go around bashing other people and I just pray that they realize their wrong doings and someone can stop them from ripping off tons of more innocent customers. Taking advantage of people and their situation is not a respectable way to make your money!

This place.... They towed my car, after being told not to tow my car. And then charged me $600 to get it out of impound. That was with a $175 discount........ My car was not obstructing traffic. Nor was it a hazard to anyone.
I had a blow out and missed a road and was in the ditch.
They charge a $100 fee to process the bill, $350 to us the wrecker, an additional $100 to move the car, &100 to pull it on the flat bed without a key, $100 to use rollover wedges on a flat surface..... Etc etc.
Crooks.
Luckily they let me pay the fee and sit overnight with no additional charge. So I could get a new tire the next day.
Went back the next day and no one could find my car. They'd moved it (without the key) and now don't want me to retrieve it.
The inside is disgusting. There was no consideration of the quality of work on a nice car.
These people are crooks.

Involved in a wreck just South of Atlanta these guys were quick to arrive really, quick to get my tractor trailer off the road, took care of the and a Anti freeze spill, were very kind to me, when I got back to their yard they went out of their way above and beyond to accommodate me and my company even put me up in a very nice hotel! I cannot speak better of anyone than these people very respectful, Very professional and I was glad that these guys came to my rescue! I am an owner operator Do not be afraid to call these people Wrecker one is number 1 in my mind!

Service was absolutely ridiculous. We are the lien holder on a vehicle that was impounded. Of course, as with many of these facilities, no one bothers to call and tell you they have you car until they can at least cheat you out of $500-$2000. So we find out on our own the vehicle has been taken there. We call to ask what all we need before we send a driver and truck to pick it up. I spoke to a girl who sounded young. However, when someone answers the phone at a business, you don't question them on their age. She told me the car was there and the amount to reclaim. We were told the only thing needed was payment for their services. We proceed to send a towing company, at our expense, to retrieve the vehicle. Once the driver arrives, he has to wait around because apparently the girl who the let answer the phone and practice business on their behalf is ONLY TEN YEARS OLD! Who lets a 10 year old conduct business for them. I was informed it was the owner's kid. Which, from what the rude woman at the desk said, made it okay to give out false information and waste the time of several people. I am with a company who likes to have their ducks in a row. I don't waste your time and I would appreciate the same respect. If you really feel the need to put a ten year old to work, perhaps you should evaluate your finances and make adjustments to hire someone LEGAL to work and someone who is familiar with the business you are in. Appalled at this entire situation. Unless you need a daycare, I would not recommend using them. Also, on an occasion before this, we had another vehicle impounded. Again, no one notified us. After accruing $1000 in fees, they finally made contact. I asked the condition of the car. That is a standard question with our business. I was told it was fine and in good shape. Imagine my surprise when a tow truck hauling a COMPLETELY TOTALED vehicle pulls in. They obviously have no regard or concern for anyone else. Just un-freaking-believable. If you are a lien holder or need any towing done, keep on looking through the yellow pages.

They did perform the Service and we are satisfied with that only after calling them and getting the work done we called several other Wrecker service in Atlanta to Find out that Wrecker 1 Prices are on the highest end. Customer do your research Better then we did find out your option before agreeing to pay the high price.
After calling them trying to reason about the price for the service that were performed, nothing came out of it of course. Ive been told that if i leave a negative feedback they know enough people on the social media and will destroy my company.
Once again the services were performed fine, just the price is TOO high compared to the others in Atlanta Metro..

Claims to be a "Christian" but will rip truck drivers off like no other. My husband had a small slip off the road and called this company to help. His truck had folded into itself while driving in wet conditions. This guy came out and was really helpful at first. My husband called me in a frantic after getting an estimate for just towing his truck to their yard. Well, they turned a simple tow into a "recovery" and charged 16k total-, then held his truck hostage until Steve received his money from the insurance company almost 2 months 40 days to be exact. The whole process was dragged out because they (Steve)kept running away the insurance adjusters in order to charge more money(they charged $175 per day for each day the truck sat there) I called to get information and spoke to Steve. He was super rude because I am not the owner of the truck. Then preceded to tell my husband to check me and my attitude?! They are committing insurance fraud I am sure.
As soon as they hear the word insurance they pounce like wild dogs. That whole office is full of crooks and Steve is the biggest one. First he tries to convince you that he is helping until you get the bill then things change.
You will realize he is a crook and is out to charge the insurance companies as much as possible. Do your research. We found a cheaper way to repair my husband's truck after Steve and the crook crew had already ripped us off. It was a simple tow and the repairs took less than a week.
DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TOW YOUR car, truck, ANYTHING! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! BEWARE!

Charged my insurance company $870 towing also found out they double charged for 2 day storage fee.
I also had to file police report for stolen items .
USAA said they are opening an investigation into the company paid invoice.

Horrible place. My good flew up and busted out the windshield. I went to ER, and these people towed my car a total of 5 miles and then wouldn't let me get my husband's tools out of the car without paying $500 in towing costs. They had it less than a few hours. They are complete jerks, and don't care about anybody.

Whatever happened to hookup $75.00 and $4.00 a mile? This company was called out on a wreck by the Henry County Police Department without ever asking me who I wanted, however I figured most companies were competitive with their rates so I didn't object, they towed my truck approximately 15-20 miles so according to this rate and compared to other towing bills I had for this vehicle that I had towed on other occasions, should have been about $155.00 which would have actually been cheaper than the $175.00 towing bills that I have gotten before. Boy was I in shock and angry when this guy told me that the bill was $750.00!!! then when I complained about the bill, he started to put my truck back on the flatbed to take it away! ( I never said I wouldn't pay the bill when he did that) these people are crooks and very unprofessional and The Henry County Police should be ashamed to recommend these crooks to people who are already dealing with their wrecked vehicles, keep in mind it was an easy tow, the truck still rolled easily, just a smashed in radiator and front end....The Henry County Police will definitely get a complaint from me, as well as the Henry County Commissioners, I am a business owner myself and would have a hard time sleeping if I did my customers this way....STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS AT ALL COST, AND TELL THE POLICE OFFICER BEFORE THEY CALL THEM THAT YOU DEMAND SWANSON"S TOWING, SWANSON HAS ALWAYS BEEN FAIR WITH ME, NOBODY HAS EVER CHARGED ME $750 FOR A 15-20 MILE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD, EASY TOW!!!!!!! I would give no stars at all for their lack of professionalism and cheesy business practices if I could.
Response to the owner: I'm sorry, but you make it sound as if I'm responsible for the cleanup and traffic? Just so you understand, I have never incurred those kind of charges, also I am not the at Fault Driver, shouldn't the other driver be responsible for those charges, and not me? Also don't you think it would be a good business practice to inform someone of these charges when you know darn good and well they have a lot on their mind from the accident they are dealing with? You're trying too hard to play the situation down and actually make it sound like the charges were due to me being at fault! The other driver was at fault!

This tow company is a RIP off. Mr Steve is very rude and love to make smart comments versus sticking to business. The staff can be somewhat rude to customers at times. They are very overpriced compared to other companies in the area. They have HCPD in their pockets. That's why they're the 1st the police calls. I wouldve sat beside the road for 3hrs and waited for someone else had I known I would encounter such unprofessionalism. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE use this company for any sort of towing needs. They know insurance companies will pay, so they go for all the money they can get. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

Awesome company with amazing service.With it being New Year 2017 pouring rain me and my family had an accident a long way away from home.once Not knowing what to do. i called a friend and ask for Wrecker1. with it being late the owner kept contact with me until she got in touch with the driver to come get me. once the driver picked me up loaded my car. we was own our way. on the long ride home he talked about how busy they have been the night and day.but he didn't mind getting back out as wrecker1 has been good to him and his family and for that and for who he is he puts pride in any and all that he does on every call. i would recommend them to any one. felt very comfortable in a time when i was feeling low they lifted me up. thanks again wrecker1

These people not only towed my pickup when I totaled it, they picked up all of my property that was strone all over the place. The best thing (in my opinion) they helped the State Patrol, Henry County Police and personal from Noah's Ark animal preserve found my dog while I was on my way to Piedmont Henry hospital. Noah's Ark personal kept "Zee" over night until my wife could pick him the next day..

Obviously in an emergency situation, there is no time to “shop around” for reasonably priced services and you have to rely on emergency services for contacting a reliable, honest wrecker service. However, a simple tow for approximately 10 miles with a total bill of $660 is price gouging at its finest. Buyer beware!

My semi would not do a regen and would not let me drive without doing a regen. Yay new diesels, I informed my company my company sent out wrecker 1 told me it would be about 45 minutes - 1 hour. got there in about 35 minutes. Quick hook up fast and Tony was the driver nice and professional clean rotator you could tell he took pride in his work and his truck.

I was calling around to find out we’re m car was. The 1st number I dialed was Swanson Towing. They gave me 1 number & after I called & it wasn’t them, I called Swanson again for another number. After I was given the information, the young lady says, “Bless your heart if it’s them.” I then replied, “What do you mean?” She says, “They are very expensive.” This put me in a position whereas I was reluctant to call. To make a long story short, when I finally made contact, after much hesitation, the ladies that I dealt with were very pleasant & nice, over the phone as well as face to face. They made my bad situation a little more smoother by being caring & attentive to my unpleasant situation. I would recommend Ms. Marie & the black young lady (sorry, I can’t remember names sometimes) that work for Wrecker 1 to be the contact person or persons with which to deal with after such an unpleasant situation. Love you guys.

Terrible experience today with these people. One of their trucks flew past me on Hwy 42 a flung a rock and cracked my windshield. I chased the guy down and he said talk to the manager. I pulled off and called the company. I asked for the manager and she answered and said I have to talk to the owner, Stacy. Then a guy got on the phone and told me that he would help. I told him what happened and he said "why am I supposed to believe you. He said we are not paying for anything. I asked for his insurance information and he told me that " You can't prove anything good luck." I told him I would get a police report and he said call Henry county police because that's who is patrolling that area. I thought that was weird but I called them anyway. Now I see that they have HCPD in their pocket. These people are arrogant scum.

These people are scum. Car was towed here by Henry county after a wreck. They charged $650 for towing and refused to let us get any of our things out right after he accident. When picking up the vehicle a couple days later they told us that this was a normal price that the insurance companies would cover. USAA would only cover $400 due to the charge being excessive. When I disputed this with USAA they told me that they called Wrecker One who told them that the extra amount was for extended storage. Henry County needs to find a new wrecker service so that people don't have to deal with getting ripped off right after having to deal with a car accident.
