Tlaloc at The Golden Pineapple... Such an amazing experience! The food was incredible. They weren't doing the tasting menu, they explained to us with the way that bars/restaurants are allowed to function at the moment they wanted to minimize potential food waste which I am completely on board with! Our servers were so friendly and accommodating. Everything was very covid safe but didn't loose the cozy and cool vibe. Cocktails... fab!!! And ever dish was just brilliant! I already cannot wait to return and hopefully in the new year try out the tasting menu! Thank you Tlaloc and The Golden Pineapple!

Delicious, authentic and exciting food! I had the most wonderful dinner here last night with a good friend who I hadn’t seen in a while. The atmosphere was so cozy and lovely and Joan was more than happy to recommend food to us and explain how it was made.
We had the octopus taco (my favourite!) and really yummy lamb barbacoa. I had the hibiscus margarita and we shared the chocolate chilli brownie and hibiscus sorbet, so good!

God I just absolutely love it here!! The cocktails are incredible and the food is on another level!! Such a wonderful pairing between Golden Pineapple and Tlaloc. Amazing vibe, amazing food, amazing service, amazing drinks (amazing music too)!

Second time eating in this place and it’s still as amazing as ever. This place has to be experienced. Fresh flavoursome and fabulous. Staff/ owners are so friendly and passionate about their food. Just go. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommended this place.

I messaged them to ask if a table for 1 would be available for the dinner. They said that they were full but a table could be available at the time I arrived. I traveled for almost 1 hour and when I get there the security man checked with the staff and then told me I should come back another day - not that I should wait for a while or even an hour, he said I should come back another day! Nobody from the staff come to talk to me not even to apologise. Awful way to treat customers! Will never come back and would not recommend this restaurant!

Oh my days!!! This is my new favourite place. Amazing food and amazing margaritas, and I mean amazing! Seriously, the food is out of this world - such complexities of flavour in every dish. Beautifully presented, super warm and friendly atmosphere, well done Tlaloc - you really hit the spot!!

It’s been over 20 years since I was last in Mexico and this brought back great culinary memories! The food was as authentic as you will taste outside of Mexico. Quesadillas were awesome! Friendly and fantastic.

Authentic mexican food and cocktails with great ingredients, an enormous attention to detail and fantastic flavours. All within a reasonable priced package. A well balanced mixture of traditional meals with new dishes that are constantly being created and tested. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough.

Tlaloc has so much heart! Great, tasty Mexican food, great cocktails, created and served by people who really care about the food and drink they're serving. I liked it so much, I went two nights in a row. In it's own way, as good as the Gingerman and the Salt Rooms. Good price too.

The team behind Tlaloc is really trying hard to offer something special with their pop-up restaurant located in this small cafe. They are succeeding. The food is super tasty and authentic, the cocktails are a winner, the service is friendly and attentive, the price is right. We totally enjoyed eating there. The Mexican chef knows his stuff. Highly recommended.

Superb restaurant! This is literally me and my girlfriends favourite place to eat in Brighton. The menu is amazing fresh octopus tacos, veggie option to. Aguachilie is divine!! pork belly mole I get every time and it's sooo good. Great service friendly and polite. Always a great experience

Without doubt the most authentic Mexican food in the whole of Brighton. Beautiful variation in terms of menu in a relaxed atmosphere. The margaritas and hospitality are on a par - equally incredible. I love this place and the guys that run it, they are destined for big things.

Having sampled many of the Mexican restaurants in Brighton, for me this is the best. The setting is relaxed (It’s a cafe in the day) but there is a lot of attention to detail in the food and drinks. The tacos are freshly made to order, beautifully presented and leave you with the feeling that you want more. The cocktails we had were top notch and other yummy touches in the meal were a lovely surprise. The whole experience felt special, which is largely thanks to the friendly staff who clearly put their hearts into what they do. Thank you!

We had a voucher for tacos, dessert and cocktails. All was delicious, with very friendly attentive service, and they generously allowed us to stray from the deal at no extra cost. Mole Poblano was extraordinarily good. Ended with everyone there chatting about Mexico, chillies and medical, with some samples. I hope they thrive but manage to keep the personal touch.

Ordered via deliveroo and didn't enjoy, sorry. The tacos are very heavy in texture, and the pork was overcooked. We didn't eat 90% of our order.
I've eaten Mexican food a lot - from London's best restaurants to local streetfood in Mexico and sadly this just wasn't as amazing as all the reviews here say. I'd really suggest you talk to Deliveroo - maybe some things just don't travel well, and you might want to put a note on your page about the style of tacos.
