An excellent small but well stocked independent bookshop with a friendly owner. Very impressed by the thoughtful and well curated selection of books laid out on the main tables and in the various subject areas around the room. If you are in Nottingham and want to browse and buy books this is the place to go.

Hidden down a side alley is the best bookshop in Nottingham. Small, but well stocked with a great range of books. The staff are friendly and helpful. A must visit.

Worth hunting out down a somewhat unpreposessing passageway. Excellent range of Nottinghamshire local interest titles, their own radical publishing and a good selection of general interest stock.

This bookshop is a small but perfectly-formed gem located in an alleyway in Nottingham city centre. On entering, you are greeted by a member of staff but they are not pushy, they just say Hello. You can browse by section including poetry, fiction and feminism (my personal favourite). If you can't find what you want in store, they will happily order in a book for you. If you're not sure what to get, the display table always has great books on there. As if that weren't enough, Five Leaves publishes its own books, they also run literary events and a book club. It is the thinking book lover's sanctuary. I adore it, I could not recommended it more highly.

An independent bookshop will always be better than a big one that has shops all over the country. Five Leaves is a beautiful, cozy bookshop, which although small, it is is a much 'bigger' place. They also have events for very specific audiences. Very good bookshop. They also have funny shirts, postcards and pins.

One of my first stops in Nottingham has been this little slice of bookish wonderland. Tucked away in a cosy alleyway of the heart of Nottingham city, this independent bookshop has a lot to offer when it comes to good titles, especially politics and philosophy. From Edward Said to Hannah Arendt, Peter Singer, Michel Foucault and more. Spent quite some time in here and missed my bus, but hey, win some, lose some.

An amazing independent bookshop in Nottingham. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. A nice range of cards, a few CD's, tea towels badges and some great talks and poetry events out of hours to keep a look out for.

An outstanding independent bookshop in central Nottingham. Particularly strong in politics, LGBT, poetry and literature in translation. Highly knowledgeable staff, who are also paid decently. Good mail order too.

Five Leaves is a really great small bookshop. It's friendly, with an accessible range of fiction, poetry and children's books. When I visited the staff member was giving his experience of reading a particular new novel to a customer who was thinking of it as a gift. So a better service than that of the corporate competitor! Further into the shop are some sections on how the world works, and how to change it, and these are well worth a browse...

A little independent book store, off the beaten track. Just the titles alone are enough to make you stop and think. A great selection of titles, most of which I'd not heard of before I went in (indeed, I hadn't even heard of many of the authors). Well worth a look, and a good place to look closer at the way you view the world.

Simply wonderful, a shop that epitomises all that is good about independent providers. They stock a great range of books and magazines, in a welcoming environment, with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They also organise fantastic book launches & events on a regular basis

Very nice local bookshop obviously with a lot of heart and community. The selection is a bit woke for my taste while limited in many areas, and some of the kids section truly worrying I'm very happy it exists and certainly deserves you're trade if it stocks books to your taste.

Definitively the best bookshop in town. The shop is hidden away from the crowds and the noise of the busy Old Market Square. The collection of books is fantastic, it is quite hard to end up there without buying one
