Our milk frother developed a fault less than a year after purchase. We were assisted by Julie, who guided us through arranging a replacement at a local store in just a few minutes! She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and reminded me of why I shop at John Lewis: the customer service simply cannot be beat!

Really nice shop with some lovely stuff. Utterly crazy that the returns desk is upstairs in the queue with everyone else when customer services is downstairs (and invariably very quiet!) Cafe is nice too, good food and great coffee. A really good place to sit and watch the world go by while having some breakfast. A little expensive maybe. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Store was very clean and tidy. Well presented and shoppable. My visit was for home items only and the stock levels in store were very good generally. Having to pay for the car park however is poor regardless if you get up to £2 back as advised.

Washing machine dropped and damaged by JL delivery. I was promised 15% refund. No one processed it. I had to chase. Numpty customer service put me through endless security -- including requiring historical postcodes -- claimed to have no record of the incident-- then found the record -- did the refund and told me off for getting frustrated. Nice.

Shopped at John Lewis on quite a busy Saturday. Was co-ordinated by a young lady at the entrance in regards to queuing, keeping distance etc. so wait line wasn't too long as well managed. Was looking for PC's and found one at a really good price, would like to give a shout out to Shauna (That was her name but I've horribly got the spelling wrong I bet). She never rushed me as she helped get the PC ordered for home delivery all whilst with enthusiasm and just a pleasant experience shopping the store. Would shop here again.

Very helpful advice on car seat required. Turned out we didn't need a new one just yet, just some adjustment to the one we already had, which we had bought elsewhere. So no sale today but we will definitely be returning when baby has grown.

Ordered a printer over the phone. I was told it will arrive in 3 working days and I will get a receipt in email. Neither did I get a receipt nor the item after 3 working days. I got an SMS from ParcelForce with tracking information. The tracking information said "No item received for the first three days". On day 4, Parcelforce has the item in their collection hub so I am guessing it is another few working day away from delivery to me. Tried calling John Lewis Horsham a few times but they have a sophisticated phone system in place to make customers wait for long times and give up eventually. Very disappointed with how the whole thing was handled.

Plenty of Free parking upto 3 hrs whist you shop ????. Very pleasant polite chap collecting trolleys in the carpark. Plenty of hand sanitizer stops dotted about the store and although restaurant is closed tiolets are open and clean. Some good bargains to have around the store just have a ???? and staff polite and all adhering to government health & safety guidelines so felt totally safe whist shopping.

Impossible to get through by phone! I have been trying to resolve an issue relating to curtains and need to speak to the store direct. Neither John Lewis HQ, nor myself could get through to the Horsham store by phone. I was told my best bet was to drive to the shop to speak to someone. Really?

The worst company ever dealt with. Useless courier service city sprint. Even worse customer service from John Lewis. Waited two weeks for vacuum cleaner as courier and they couldn't sort a simple thing. Finally, they wanted me to pay for another in order to get one to me as between the courier and them, they lost it. Got a refund in end. When asked to be compensated for waiting in THREE days with no courier arriving with item and at least TEN hours spent on calls was told had to ring in again for that. Rang when finally got refund and was told could only have money as credit to spend at John Lewis and as I won't be shopping there again . .no point. Then said someone would call me back to get bank details to put in bank as I refused credit for shop. That's almost a week ago and no one has called! They and their couriers are liars

We purchased a divan bed and the sales person at the Horsham Store was lovely and very helpful. The reason for giving the order when we did was that delivery was promised for the following Monday and that was important as decorators were due the following four days and would be working in the bedroom the bed was intended for and the hall and staircase leading to it. The delivery was due to be between 16.49 to 18.49 and that was confirmed by text on the Sunday. It never arrived. Phones calls to the shop were not answered. On the Tuesday morning we were driving to the Horsham store when we received a phone call from a person at John Lewis with such a strong Scottish accent we found it very hard to understand and moreover the tone of the person gave the impression she couldn’t care less about the inconvenience we were being caused. She said an internal delivery had not taken place and was the reason for the failure to deliver. She promised a delivery for today the Friday of the same week. It arrived but by then the hall and staircase all had wet paint. The possibility of this had been explained when the revised delivery date was agreed but that had not been passed to the delivery men who were Martin and Ricky. Despite the condition of the place these two delivered the divan and mattress with extreme care but under great difficulty and deserve credit for making the best of the situation. The administration behind the shop lets it down and communications when there are problems are not good. The staff we have met are all helpful and pleasant the clearly want to do the best for the customers but are let down by the people behind the scene. I understand the call center dealing with delivery queries is in Scotland but even so it should be manned by those who can be readily. Understood and to show some interest in the customer would be nice. The delivery folk gave us the number 45204607 in case that is relevant for the shop’s internal procedures.

After having not had a great experience with call centre, Lily in the horsham store was fantastic. Purchased a Bosch WAN28201 GB/28 washing machine as the reviews were excellent. After just two washes I was very disappointed that socks and small items of clothing were getting trapped in the rubber seal. Both Bosch and John Lewis said this was not a fault and was to be expected. Having owned Service, Zanussi and Hotpoint machines previously and never experienced this problem I wished I had not purchased Bosch. To add to my disappointment John Lewis said they would not honour the 30 day return policy as the machine had been used and they did not class this design fault as a fault with the machine. I am now left with a machine that I am not happy with and feel let down by John Lewis.

Don't know this store but aways use the Tunbridge Wells one,this firm is still special even as this type generally is in decline, it is a good shopping experience to spend an hour or two looking at their displays at goods which are At the top half of quality products levels,the staff are friendly well trained and the customer feels generally wanted on the phone is the same aways friendly and helpful I shall continue to shop there. The one letdown is the coffee Shop not as good as other Sometimes much smaller businesses do,can't understand why they don't improve this or don't they care!

An excellent department store that is a scaled-down version of the parent in London. Excellent service. Despite somewhat restricted size, still provides pretty much everything straightforward that you would need. Added bonus of a really good Waitrose on the same site, with knowledgeable and very helpful staff. Good parking. Overall a very satisfactory experience.

Excellent store, furniture, towels, phones, microwaves, ovens, washing machines, candles, soft toys, cushions, beds, desks, sofas, etc excellent range and a good layout. No clothes or shoes or anything like that. Nice little cafe too, recommend the toasted sandwiches! Oh and they have toilets ????
