I generally have good experiences at Ren’s. The only aspect I would say needs improving is the curbside pickup system. I believe the current system is not streamlined and causes customers to wait excessively. It’s not the employees fault at all, they all work hard and are friendly and helpful. I just think a phone app or a different calling system could be implemented to improve the efficiency of the curbside system. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to return to normal shopping and this won’t be an issue.
Overall though, I do recommend Ren’s to friends, family and anyone else looking for their pet supplies.

Amazing! The workers are great! 2 fabulous workers came to help use! I found what I was looking for...This place has options! The store is really clean and some items are cheaper than Amazon or the item are the equivalent! I'm definitely coming back! If you have pets at home skip all the other shops and come here! They have a great variety of toys, food, grooming items, coats and boots etc! I 100% consider this place!

I'm really confused here. At the store a sign reads you can call and place an order or you can do it online. I am being asked to repeatedly to place my orders online. I would rather just talk to someone at the store and place my order. Again being told to place my order online - but they'll make this as a one-time exception. What's the reason for having a sign at your door stating customers can call to place an order? Is the staff really that lazy to take orders over the phone? And the condescending attitude on the phone. My goodness. Where does Ren's pets find these people... Thanks, you just lost me as a customer - been shopping here since this store open.

I love most of the Ren's Pets, however the Baseline location has been terrible. Staff are always gossiping and talking poorly about difficult customers they have been interacting with. My biggest issue though is that I went in to return a few items and buy some other things but the women who did my check out punched it in wrong and scanned one of my returns as a purchase, so instead of getting money back she charged me over $30. When I pointed out that she made a mistake she said "no, receipts are just confusing I definitely did it right, trust me" and then shooed me out of the store. Now I'm out $40+ dollars and wont be returning to that location because of the disrespectful staff. The fact that she happily sent me away and dismissed the fact that she made a mistake really shows that they care more about clocking out as soon as possible more than doing their job. Definitely recommend choosing a different rens pets location in Ottawa or even just a different pet store in general (considering management didn't even realize that their cash-out was incorrect that night).

So disappointed in the staff there today. I put in a click and collect order and when I arrived to collect it no one answered the phone. I called multiple times. Saw an open side door and asked staff inside about the pick ups. He was very impatient and said I had to call but offered no assistance of any type.I indicated that I had called and there was no answer, he informed me that meant they were busy. It was -25 with the windchill and I had already tried numerous times.
I called again and again and finally someone answered. They could not find my order, came to door to get order number, still could not find my order. Came back to the door, no apology, no offer of assistance just frustrated staff because they could not locate an order packed in their store by their staff. In the end I just left because I was so frustrated at their poor customer service and their inability to actually provide the service that they are advertising.

I’ve been going to this store for over 2 years (right about when it opened, I think), and the staff and management have been super friendly and helpful. Loved taking my puppy there to shop, they treated her like the princess she was ????

Ren's customer service is excellent and their staff work really hard. They always make time for customer questions and try to remember their regulars. They remind me about sales of my cats's favourite treats (yes they remember, and also that my one cat has an allergy!)

Staff was not helpful or friendly. I stood at the freezers trying to decide what to buy and no one was there to help. The two girls were busy talking to each other. I prefer the Petsmart where you are welcomed when you enter and they give your puppy a treat as I brought in my puppy for the socialization experience.

Ordered a toy online, told them everything they needed to know including that we had already paid for it. Placed us on hold 5 times to find our item (once we were there) until the end when they asked if we had already paid for it, which we had told them we have, getting verbally upset on the phone because they can't figure out their own instructions. 1st time there went to the city of Ottawa to get my dogs license and got a 25$ gift card so I went to redeem the gift card and got my dog a new collar some poop bags an engraved tag for only 9$ cool great deal considering I needed to register my dog anyway

I went for curb side pick up today. I had a coupon I wanted to use since I registered my pet and when I said I wanted to use the coupon to pay and put the rest on debit and the representative, Courtney, rolled her eyes at me and was sighing and just being overall rude and making it out that I was inconveniencing her. She took a long time grabbing my order and organizing payment and I’m fine waiting except it’s super cold out! She made it very clear that she didn’t want to be there in the way she spoke to me, and how she carried herself and I was extremely unimpressed with that representative. I’ve been to this Ren’s before and the other staff have always been really good but she just blew me away with the attitude she was dishing. As someone who works in sales I could never imagine acting the same way to a customer of mine.

I was not impressed abut this shop.
I walked in and no 1 was there 2 help me put. I kept walkin around and the workers where juz talkin 2 eachother. Completely ignored me, i was in the store for 10min and still no 1 asked me if i needed help.
to the point i had 2 ask some 1 for help and than i juz get attitude and it seemed that i was bothering them.
Was gonna buy stuff and i decided not 2 spend my money here.
Juz went to Pet Valvue. Their so good there.
I don't want to even gave them 1 star..booooo very disappointed

Definitely lives up to the Ren's Pets name. The entrance is a little crowded though between the cash and display. Other than that, great store, exceptionally friendly staff, and even better customers (I'm talking of course about the dogs).

Brought my dog here February 16th, to pick up some treats and try on new collars. As we were picking out a collar, my dog ate chocolate that was left at dog height level at the cash. The cashier was aware of what happened, but was on the phone and didn't seem to care or move the dog poison to a safer place. Understandable if it was a mistake, however the staff member did not seem to care about the potential harm they could be causing pets due to their negligence. On top of that, extremely bad customer service. If you plan on bringing your pet here, please be careful.

Staff is very friendly and they have a large selection of pet foods, treats, toys, and other items. Definitely my favourite pet store because of the high quality pet food brands they carry. Also if you buy 12 bags of food, same product in the same size, you get 1 free!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, but the store seems to be mostly dog oriented. I wish there was a wider selection of cat toys, litter, treats, and wet food.
My sister goes for all her puppy's needs and it's great shopping for dogs, but I find it's less fun for my shopping for my cat.

The parking lot is a nightmare to navigate - take the Clyde entrance. Store is decent sized, has good inventory - better products than PetSmart, I find; not as vast as the Barrhaven location. The employees are all kind and helpful, always welcoming my wife and I and especially our Staffordshire terrier.

This is my favourite pet store. They offer a different selection than Pet Smart, and I just prefer the stuff here. Also, excellent customer service! Last time I was there, the cashier noticed I was browsing the Fresh Kisses and I had grabbed the large box and while I continued to shop, he made some quick calculations and let me know that if I bought 4 of the smaller packages, it actually came to the same price and then they'd stay fresh longer. Super impressed cuz I didn't even ask him to do that!

Like the Tardis, this place is bigger on the inside! Carries bird, small animal, cat & dog products. I'd have to say about 75% of the store is dog products. Good variety of cat products nonetheless. I was in for a specific item (long arm litter scoop), which I found. I wouldn't make it my regular pet supplies store (unless I had a dog), but I will check it out again if I need a specific item.
