Chris takes really beautiful and artistic pictures - so much nicer than the standard posed pictures that most people offer. I would recommend for weddings and for portrait sessions.

Just had our second portrait shoot this summer and the photos have turned out phenomenally! Whereas some photographers pictures look awkward and staged, these just perfectly capture the essence of our personalities. The pictures themselves are taken in such a way as to create a beautiful drama and impactful photograph. We couldn’t be more happy with them and it’s proving very difficult to choose favourites as there are just so many good ones. Chris is great fun to do a shoot with and makes you feel at ease while working his magic. Would highly recommend him.

We couldn't be happier that we could have Chris as our wedding photographer. He really added to the day with a fantastic set of photos as well as his enthusiasm and charisma, which really added to our day.
Right from the first enquiry, Chris was great to deal with, getting in touch with us promptly and being really clear on what we could expect from him. He was also keen to get to know us and what we envisaged from the day.
He followed this up with a more detailed follow up once booked, combining the photo ideas we wanted with his ideas using his previous knowledge of the venue. Throughout, he showed keen interest and a great sense of humour making us feel at ease. We felt like we knew exactly what to expect from the day.
On the day itself, Chris was there early ready to take bridal prep photos and was there to greet the groom when he arrived with the best man. He used his sense of humour to keep everyone relaxed before the wedding and built a great rapport with the guests too.
Throughout the day, Chris showed fantastic energy and enthusiasm, taking great natural photos during the drinks reception capturing the happy faces of the guests, beautiful family portraits and amazing photos of the bride and groom.
He also managed to organise significant numbers of guests to shoot confetti shots and an awesome sparkler photo, which has become a signature photo of the wedding.

My fiancé and I had a pre-wedding shoot with Chris the other day and what a fantastic day it was. Our wedding was postponed due to lockdown and we've been feeling rotten. But Chris has really brought back the enthusiasm of our wedding day back to us with the pre-wedding shoot. Chris' enthusiasm and craftsmanship is on another level. In a word - wow! We met Chris at a wedding fair at the NEC and it's fair to say we knew we had found our photographer straight away. There was something different about his work (and his personality!) that made him stand out from anyone else we had met. On the wedding day we didn't have to worry about anything, Chris had it all in hand and the guests loved him. The photos are everything we had hoped for and have perfectly captured our day. I came across Chris via Social Media during Lockdown and we loved the idea of having a photoshoot with him ! The offer he was running was so good we just had to book ! I was so drawn in by Chris’ display at a wedding show that I booked him that evening when I got home, with 2 years to go! I loved the moody lighting and the bright colours, completely different to the usual bland wedding photography you see, we knew we didn’t want that, and we knew we’d made the right decision in booking Chris for our big day.
Chris got to know us as the date grew closer which helped us feel comfortable with him, like he was one of our guests. He was brilliant in making sure people were where they needed to be, so that we got the shots that we really wanted, he then blended into the background, keeping us up to date on where he wanted us and when, so we knew what we were doing too. This way we were able to chill out and enjoy our day with no pressure.
Chris is a master of his craft, and can capture people’s connections like I’ve never seen in photographs before. He was the perfect photographer for our perfect day.

3 reasons to pick Chris as your photographer:
1) Both Chris and his photos stood out from all of the other "formal" photographers/portfolios we saw at the NEC wedding show: To us, they seemed miles ahead in terms of artistic flare, originality, colour and just general awesomeness. He will get the usual photos you might ask for, but will also seek out great parts of your venue for the really unique shots that you just don't get with other photographers. The photos don't look staged or forced - they all look natural and perfectly tell the story of the day. The rain and dim-light available on the day did not stop him getting great shots, which other photographers may have struggled with. Your album will be UNIQUE FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS - not just full of Victorian-style family photos!
2) He was our best supplier to deal with for the wedding: great value, quick response to enquiries, takes time to discuss what you want for the day (including a really helpful Facetime call to help put you at ease and discuss your ideas). You genuinely feel like your wedding is important to him. The post-wedding process was really easy (i.e. picking the photos you want, making edits to layout of the album and individual photos etc).
3) Put simply, Chris is an absolute legend: He was amazing with our guests and other suppliers, making sure they worked with him to get the photos we wanted. He'll make you feel special, make you laugh, calm down a nervous groom and most importantly doesn't intrude on the day. He had a knack for capturing stunning photos in great locations without interrupting the flow of the day or taking you away from the guests for too long.

I can honestly say that Your Perfect Day (Chris) was an absolute legend last Wednesday photographing our Wedding!! Chris was our wedding photographer 3 years ago and I still love looking at every single photo! He captured every moment perfectly and has made a perfect documentary of the day for us! Seeing that there is a 1* review really upsets me and reading the comment I do not believe that this reflects upon the experience with Chris at all! I think the fact there is only one speaks volumes.
Chirs arrived when agreed and did not get in the way. He was so helpful and made the day run smoothly, often helping the venue staff with timings etc. He was so professional with the way he spoke to all guests throughout the day that several of our friends commented on how lovely Chris was. A couple of friends went on from our wedding to book Chris for theirs after they were so impressed with him on the day.
The leather bound album is so tactile, well made and it's clear the thought and effort that he placed into the album. The images flow well into each other and tell a true story of the day. He sent us so many photos for the album but also suggested which ones he thought would be best, he was really supportive with the decision. Chris was also able and happy to send the edited photographs directly to us so that we could have them printed and now have several placed upon on wall.
Chris' work speaks volumes about his talent and skill and I highly recommend to all.

Chris is a fab bloke. He certainly knows what he’s doing behind a camera. Pre wedding, he made sure he knew what we wanted and what we were about as a family. He took the time to learn the kids names etc. It’s the little things that make a difference.
We got married on the 31st July and as soon as he arrived - he again showed he was absolutely the right choice. I can’t pose for photos and yet Chris started snapping away. The shots he got are more than we could have hoped for. He even kept a nervous groom calm.
Chris was complimented by all of our guests for both his manner and professionalism and he almost fades into the background - to capture the unexpected shots. The bits you miss. Chris will ensure he takes the photos you want without knowing you want them. The important shots but the incidentals too. No boring wedding photography while he’s around.
We feel proud to have had him as our photographer and can not wait to see the images. The teasers are just amazing.

On top of that we had a mishap with half our guests and the groom being significantly delayed to the ceremony - with Chris's proactive management of people and time, we got all the shots we wanted and still managed to get to the reception on time. We got married in December last year and we have just got round to doing our wedding album and ordering photos for family and friends. Our photos are stunning and our story book album is amazing, Chris really captured the laid back feel of our day. All of our guests commented what an amazing and friendly photographer Chris was, and that they barely noticed when he was taking photos - which is just what we wanted as we are not big fans of 'posed' photos, we wanted a photographer who captured us and our guests 'in the moment' and Chris did just that for us. We even had some more unusual photos taken, all Chris' idea with sparklers and smoke bombs in the evening. We were lucky with the weather, it was freezing, but we had snow on the ground and glorious sunshine and bright blue sky on the day. Chris has managed to capture everything perfectly, our outdoor photos particularly are just spectacular. From start to finish, we were so happy with Chris and all our photos, he managed to get all of our guests, and fabulous pictures all day, from us getting ready to first dance in the evening.
Chris sent us through 20 teaser shots the day after our wedding, which was great to have some to look at honeymoon before receiving the whole gallery when we returned.
The booking process was so simple and straightforward. Unlike some photographers, Chris provides you with all your photos to download. When it came to choosing photos for the album, it was so easy, we just had to select our favourites from the online gallery and Chris would then 'tell the story of your day'. He always sends proofs so that you can make sure you are happy with everything.

Chris and Kimmy attended and took photographs for our wedding yesterday, we cannot explain how excellent these guys are. We received so many compliments from our guests about how professional they both were and how comfortable they made everyone feel. They are an amazing duo that managed to get the guests exactly where we needed them to be without being bossy or coming across as hostile.
We haven’t received our main photographs yet as we only had our wedding yesterday! But as promised by Chris we received some ‘taster’ shots this morning via email and they are absolutely stunning! As soon as I saw Chris’ work at the Birmingham wedding show it stood out massively and me and my wife decided there and then that we wanted him for our wedding.

Got married in June this year and Chris was layed back and easy going and made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. We received a few teaser photos the morning after the wedding which where all fantastic and made us excited to see the rest of them . We chose ‘yourperfectday’ as we loved the different artisian images. We met Chris and his wife at the wedding show, they were so friendly and helpful and we booked straight away! Chris has been fab from start to finish. We had an engagement shoot and felt so relaxed and we received our images pretty much straight away and loved them. Then the wedding day came, we had rain and I was worried about the images we would get. However, Chris went with it and we managed to get lots of photos outside still! In fact our favourite images were in the rain. Everyone commented what a great photographer we had and how friendly etc he was. We received 30 images the following morning, which was amazing to share with our family and friends before we headed off on our honeymoon. Shortly after we received all of our images 1000+ I have spoke to friends and their photographers took months to get images over. However Chris works so quickly, we now have the hard decision of choosing our images for our album. We cant thank Chris enough, and we will cherish our photos forever! Best decision we made and would highly recommend Chris!!

We knew Chris was amazing based on his portfolio of work but we never expected our wedding photos to be as good as the wedding photography he displays when exhibiting. And the are! We only got married at the weekend and by the following day we received a teaser batch of our wedding pictures. We loved them all!
Genuinely, his wedding photography is out of this world. If you want something different, pictures that really capture those precious moments - Your perfect day is the place to go. His unique photography style, really makes him stand out from the crowd. If you’re looking for a wedding photography in Leicester (even if you’re further out, he’s worth the journey) I would strongly suggest you visit Chris Denner first. We can assure you, one you’ve seen his photography, no other wedding photographer will come close!
From start to end, Chris and his team where subperb. He’s great to get along with and he instantly made us feel comfortable and confident that he would help to make our wedding day special.
On our wedding day, we had numerous guests approach us and ask where we found him. Many even said he was the best photographer they’ve seen at a wedding. He constantly remained calm, knew how to work a crowd and was very quiet and suitable when capturing those ‘natural’ moments.

It's a shame that YPD responded as below despite our very clear email.
A number of our guests commented on the price we paid for our photographer relative to clothes he wore. Complaining about someone turning up to your wedding and looking scruffy isn't the same as ridiculing them by any means.
Chris looked bored and disinterested throughout the whole day and missed my Wife's getting ready and her reunion with my mother who had been in the LRI for surgery as a result of her diagnosis for Bowel Cancer.
Chris managed to miss a number of important moments and people on the day despite our meetings and prior to the wedding.
His assistant was smoking outside our dining room and my wife had to get up in her wedding dress and leave the wedding lunch to ask her to move.
Chris delivered 2000 unedited pictures and asked us to choose which ones we wanted editing.
He left the wedding without even letting us know he was going.
He was unprofessional, bored and disinterested. I'm sure his pictures would have turned out ok once he had finished editing them but we'll never know.
His response below is a clear example of his level of professionalism.
Perhaps the most honest thing on this page.
We were so disappointed with our experience on the day that it was just too upsetting to go through the process of choosing images for our album. Every time we looked through them it was a reminder of what a bad service we had and how let down we had been and we just didn't want to remember the day that way.
In the end we asked for all of the unedited images so that we could sort our own album but we still haven't done it 2 years later or even looked through the pics beyond a cursory glance.
Luckily some of our friends are enthusiasts and caught some really nice pictures that we love and look back at occasionally.
