We met Chris at ‘Save the Date’ wedding fair. He was awesome, very likeable, and showed us photos that could have been works of art. We walked away with his card to mull things over. Within seconds, my now husband turned to me and said “we need to book that guy now” …so we did! And we were 100% right to. We had our special day on 11.09.20, a small intimate wedding due to COVID-19 restrictions, a day that was captured magically by Chris. We wanted a photographer that was able to capture our story, someone that wasn’t afraid to steer us instead of waiting to be steered, and someone that was comfortable to be around…Chris is all these things and more. He puts 100% into every shot; he even lay in the middle of the road to take some of our shots! If you find yourself impressed with his portfolio…don’t shop around. Book him!

Chris shot a promo video for a music project I’m involved in, and also found the time to take a few snaps of us during the session. He did such a brilliant job and we’re all blown away with how everything has turned out. As well as being extremely talented, Chris has a professional and personable approach and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since the filming, he has been super quick to turn the project around and has been really accommodating when we’ve asked for any small changes to be made here and there. I honestly can’t recommend Chris enough.

We actually used Chris for our wedding way back in 2014, but he was so amazing and left such a good impression, I had to leave a new review. His photos are brilliant. He works with you and what you want and has some excellent ideas, even if you have photos at night. It's not what you can't do it's what you can do and we really liked that about him. I've recently recommended him to my sister in law (to be) for her wedding next year. Lovely, talented guy :)

Chris was our wedding photographer back in 2014. We fell in love with his photography at a wedding show. Not your conventional wedding photographer but that’s what we loved. He has a wonderful ability of capturing all those natural moments. Whilst other photographers may be cheaper you honestly get what you pay for. Booking him was the best decision we could have made. The photos are amazing and the album he produced is beautiful and top quality. He is also a genuinely lovey guy. He’s done two more family weddings since and two shoots of us as a family. Book him. You won’t be disappointed I promise!

We met Chris at a wedding fair and knew instantly that he was the one for us. This was confirmed after seeing some of the incredible shots he had already captured at the venue where we would be getting married.
Everything was so relaxed and under control, all the way up to our wedding day and then on the day he didn't disappoint.
The informal approach we wanted really worked well, and some of the pictures he managed to get were awesome, and things we would never think about.
He made the day far more relaxed for the both of us and really managed to make use of the rain to capture some really cool things, along with his use of light, which made for some breathtaking pictures.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of our friends using Chris again, and we think you should too, you will not be disappointed.

We met Chris at a wedding fair and instantly liked his character and Photography skills. We were having a late afternoon winter wedding which meant it would be dark, unlike another photographer we spoke to Chris was thrilled with the shots we could get and genuinely made us excited with our choice of time. We met Chris at a wedding fair and immediately knew he was the one for us. His work is so unique and he turns your big day in to art that you can treasure for ever. His photos are beautiful and a quick look at the website will show you that. The one thing it doesn’t show is what an awesome person Chris is. We were on the hunt for a wedding ASAP during the end of 2020, and we are so thankful we found Chris when we did through Instagram. His photography is just PHENOMENAL, I mean the insta account speaks for itself! He was so attentive and told such a beautiful story of our day through his photos, which is exactly what we wanted. The natural shots he took on the day were flawless. He really listened to all of the kinds of photos we wanted and even gave us tips on how to be prepared. He has been accommodating throughout the whole process, and even extended for an extra hour for us on the day with no hassle. After showing our wedding photos to our family and friends, they were just in awe with how amazing the photos were incredibly captured, and would 100% recommend Chris!

We contacted Chris to do the photography at our civil service ceremony in Leicester town hall as we initially really liked Chris' photography portfolio online. Chris was incredibly friendly, very professional and made us feel immediately at ease on the day. Chris listened to our needs and what we wanted on the day, which given the COVID restrictions were a bit unique, and Chris catered exactly to those needs. Needless to say, the photos produced by Chris matched his high standards in professionalism and we are absolutely delighted with the photo album Chris produced to look back on fondly of the day. Having been blown away by Chris' portfolio on display at the NEC wedding show, we didn't hesitate to book for our NYC wedding in June '19. Chris' enthusiasm for his work was quickly evident, and it truly felt like he was as excited for the big day as we were!
We met multiple times before we left the UK to discuss plans for the day, so by the time we met again the day before our wedding, for our pre-wedding day shoot, we were already at ease. It was like meeting with a friend, but this time we were centre stage in a very busy Times Square. So much fun! Chris will go to great lengths to get the photo he envisages because anything less than amazing just doesn't seem to be good enough - like laying on the ground at Times Square to get that perfect angle!
By the time our wedding day came we were in full swing. Chris was at the hotel bright and early and set to work immediately. His energy was infectious! He nailed all the shots we asked for and we had so much fun while doing so. Our big day was perfect, and Chris definitely played a part in making it so.
Our album has turned out better than we could have ever imagined, and we often sit together and flick through reminiscing about the best day with the biggest smiles.
For anyone looking for a photographer who is genuine, extremely friendly, enthusiastic and can deliver award winning work, do not look any further!

We initially met Chris at the NEC Birmingham wedding fair when we were looking for a photographer for our wedding. We weren't in the position to book at this point but we LOVED Chris's work and his vision. When the time came to book, we knew we wouldn't be having anyone else. We met Chris at WEWAD wedding fair in Nottingham - both Chris and his work stood out from the crowd and for all the right reasons. He spent nearly an hour talking to us about his work, ethos and generally getting to know us and our plans... to say he was passionate about his work is an understatement.
So many wedding photographers we met felt the same... about their business not their craft, had similar styles, cookie cutter packages and just didn't get you excited. Not Chris, he's an artist, his work is incredible and full of personality... authentic, distinct and jaw dropping.
We went for a pre-shoot with Chris this weekend and he had the resulting photos with us the same day and they were incredible. His use of light was amazing and it's gotten us even more excited for the wedding!
If you want a photographer who stands head and shoulders above the others, fun to work with and will make sure your guests have a great time, then Chris is your man.

Our first meeting with Chris was fantastic as he listened to our requirements, gave us great advice and left us feeling confident we would be in safe hands knowing we were going to get fantastic photographs and memories. Chris and Kimmy were our wedding photographers back in 2017, where they kindly agreed to come all the way from Leicester to Cornwall to shoot our wedding! We had previously met up for an engagement shoot which was a great excuse for a wander around a park and a giggle whilst Chris snapped away. The engagement shoot is highly recommended as I can imagine the shots from our wedding would have felt more wooden without meeting first and getting to know Chris. You couldnt have really asked for worse weather on the big day, but the guys were so professional. Fortunately there was a 20min window of good weather chris had spotted and suggested a quick drive to the beach, making for some awesome pictures. Chris was literally ready for anything! The edited shots came through a short while after the wedding, having seen some teasers in the meantime, and WOW they blew our minds. The day was captured perfectly, encompassing the wet weather but in such an artistic fashion. Some of the shots even made it into the south wests premier wedding magazine! An absolutely superb talent in his craft, whom I would reccomend in a heart beat!

Me and my partner have been through the rigmarole of postponing our wedding from 2021 to 2022. It’s been a stressful few months both for people who are planning on getting married and the wedding industry too. Chris has been amazingly supportive throughout our postponement process! He saw and understood our stress and offered us a complimentary photo shoot in a beautiful woodland area to try and turn a negative into a positive. He really didn’t need to offer us this but he did out of the kindness of his heart. Me and my partner find photo shoots very awkward to say the least but Chris made it such a lovely and relaxing experience for us from start to finish! Any married couple knows that on your wedding day, you spend more time with your photographer than maybe anyone else on the day and so when planning our wedding, my husband and I knew we needed to find someone we were comfortable with and that we got a good energy from. So when I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding and we met Chris, we instantly knew he was our guy. His energy and attitude is infectious and we were taken away by his ability to capture special moments. After a short conversation we had Chris booked for our date 2 years ahead.
We had the misfortune of planning a wedding during the uncertainty of lockdown and as you’ll know, it was a difficult time for many. So when Chris would call for catch ups and to offer his full support for our altering plans we knew we were in good hands. We changed our date, our venue and our entire itinerary within days of the wedding and Chris was there for every step, checking in, offering guidance and consistently putting a positive spin on every alteration.
This support meant that on our day, when I was running late, a little stressed and very emotional, just having Chris turn up and start taking some shots made me instantly calmer. The rest of the day was absolutely amazing and Chris played a really significant part in that.
Needless to say, the pictures are absolutely breathtaking.
To sum up, if you want to tell a story, have a full album of impromptu and natural shots and have the support of a true professional, choose Artisan X

Chris was our wedding photographer back in 2017. After meeting him at a wedding show and seeing some of his work we knew we had to book him. The unique style of his work, his approach, and his obvious passion for what he does left us in no doubt that we’d get some amazing results. And we did.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve just been in a woodland portrait shoot along with our dog. Chris put us at ease straight away (neither of us are particularly keen on having photos taken) and the location was great.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Chris to anyone. Especially people who want stylish, timeless photos rather than traditional ‘firing line’ mug shots. He’s certainly the only man I’d arrange to meet in secluded woodland!

I saw Chris at the wedding show at the NEC and he didn’t have to sell himself.... the photos on his display made me book him there and then. We had a mini get-to-know-you shoot last year where we felt 100% at ease so we knew on the day we were not dealing with a stranger.
