Chinese influence and style permeates the exotic interiors of this richly attired Palace. There is so much detail in some of the rooms such as the banqueting and music rooms, and several magnificent chandeliers. I was surprised that so many of the rooms are now open, including upstairs. A brilliant 10 year refurbishment recreating the original interior in great detail. Don't forget to sign your entry ticket to get free admission on return, valid for a year.

This place is a real gem. Never before have I seen such ornate oriental design outside of Asia. The Chinese influence made for a more interesting and memorable visit than other royal residences or stately homes. Reminded me of Leighton House in London, which I’d recommend to anyone who enjoyed the Pavilion.

Gorgeous little estate. Unfortunately a few areas of the pavilion are currently closed, but the parts that are open are opulent and splendid. They have an audio tour that you can listen to on your phone, giving details of the interior designs and furnishings, as well as the history of the building. Staff is also at hand to answer any questions and give more information. Beautiful place well worth a visit.

Great to explore if you're into history or architecture. Younger kids may get bored but our 7yr old loved it. Walking tour audio app was great to use for extra info but staff are on hand in most rooms. Allow about 90mins for the house tour which you can buy tickets for online.

Bit pricey but very lovely. The architecture is good and the art work inside is very impressive. Staff inside are helpful and happy to explain anything.

The royal pavilion is very unorthodox for a seaside town but it is absolutely stunning! And for better views, check it out at night, the lighting makes it look truly extraordinary. I went during the festive season, they had an ice rink open which is great for families and kids and had a bar which was open to the public. The setting was extremely nice and a must visit, especially for tourists. It is also in an extremely good location hence really easy to access when in Brighton!

Incredible decor and breathtaking rooms! The outdoor facade seems to suggest another story, which fortunately isn’t reflected on the indoor grandeur! The only setback was the app for the audio guide wasn’t very reliable today unfortunately.

What a spectacular Palace, very interesting listening with the Audio tour. So many rooms to see and lovely how its all been maintained and brought back to its former glory.

The exterior of the Pavilion suggests a somewhat faded grandeur which is therefore expected of the interior, but what a treat awaits the visitor! The tour guide phone app worked really well and was enriched by the knowledge and interactions with the curators who were genuinely keen to share their love of the building! A fascinating historical building and a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

A beautiful -very unexpected- building that reminisce me of middle easter, south asian structures I have seen before. The garden is such a quiet and green spot in the middle of the city. Unfortunately the pavilion was closed due to covid, but the beauty can be appreciated from afar.

Make sure you plan your parking before you arrive. The Royal Pavilion was on our list for quite a while and such a shame we didn't visit earlier. Although there's work going on refurbishing the out side you can still see how grand and spectacular it is. The inside was amazing collection of treasures and furniture in some of the most spectacular rooms I've ever seen. The staff were fantastic and helpful, they knew so much about the building, people and history. Well worth visiting and like nothing else I've seen before.

The gardens are lovely. The ice rink during winter in fun (though cramped when there are lots of people). Everyone says that you shouldn't bother to go inside. It's not worth the cost everyone says. Picnic on the grounds. That's a fun way to spend the afternoon!

The Royal Pavilion is stunning. The inside is a real surprise and we spent a lovely couple of hours exploring it. The audio guide they've created to be played through your own phone was a good touch so try to bring some earphones.

Wonderful attraction in the heart of the city. Set in really pleasant grounds with paths baskers and flowers. A popular destination for sunbathers and people just wanting to chill. The pavilion itself is an incredible sight with absolutely fascinating architecture. A must see location when in brighton.

Very unique and enjoyable, also has a great free audio guide that you can listen to on your phone. Remember headphones to make it a bit easier!

The outside of the Pavilion is very interesting & unique although it always appears to have scaffold around part of it...but the inside is spectacular!! Think they should take all the shrubs & flower beds out and put the area down to grass as it will be easier to keep and not look so tatty as it does now...however I would recommend anyone to go and see this amazing building

Really worth the £15 entry fee which is open for return visits for a year . George IV mock oriental fantasy palace . Makes you wonder how he got away with it. A bit like the nearby NCP car park who charged us £32 for four hours parking .How do they get away with it?

A must to visit when in Brighton! Exotic and somewhat surreal for its time it used to serve as King's George the 4th seaside palace. An architectural blend of Indian, Chinese and British grandeur that will stun even the most demanding visitor. Admission fees are currently £15.50 for adults and £9.50 for children over five years old. Free audio guide is provided and be advised not to omit to have a coffee or two at the tearoom and marvel those breathtaking views. It's always best to have a look at their website before visiting.

My reason for 3 stars is because there is no mention of the man who designed this building where he got his ideas from. Surely the person who designed this beautiful building should get alot more recognition. All I heard about was King George IV! Ok he was a King I get it, but I want to hear about John Nash who designed this masterpiece. It is a breathtakingly beautiful building. For those who wish to know John Nash designed this beauty and drew his inspiration from the Muslims/ Mughal buildings. This needs to be mentioned alot more as it's also a very important part of history!✌????

I love seeing palaces and states homes growing up in the UK but Royal Pavilion is definitely the most special of them all as it offer such an odd but wonderfull theme that I have never seen in an English palace before. The exterior of this place remind me of a royal palace in istanbul and the interior of this is almost wild for the time it was build. It is western yet oriental, a very radical design from the son of the mad king.

The Royal Pavilion is open now (October 2020), there isn't much to see in the gardens. the inside pavilion must be interesting to visit and the adult ticket (from 19 years) costs £15.50 with booking online.

One of the fabulous 'Faces of Brighton'. Don't be fooled by the drab exterior. The interior is just amazing. The surrounding gardens are a real treat. Wonderful for relaxing, picnics, or just having fun. Popular outdoor cafe. Easy access. Fantastic pop-up ice-rink in Winter. Food, drink, and skate hire.

The atmosphere during the summer in the garden/parks of the pavilion is one of the best. Typically live bands are playing music people joining in to dance, it really is wonderful to witness. Plenty of green grass space to sit down with a group of friends and the flowers are very well maintained with pleasant smells as you walk through the park. The royal pavilion building itself is also stunning to look at as you walk through. A truly relaxing space in the heart of Brighton!

Hi went here today and was impressed by the size of the building and the grounds of the palace. The gardens are very well maintained and suitable for a picnic. The palace is very impressive and has been renovated to a high standard. I have attached nearly 50 pictures to this post to show how impressive it is. Entrance is £15 for adults and I think about £8 for children. If you buy the tickets online in their website you get a 10% discount but you need to buy them 24hrs before hand. But if you go to 365ticketmasters they were a bit cheaper and you can buy them on the day. Please remember that you cannot take any pull along trolleys with you inside as we had a cool box on wheels and were told we couldn't take it in. Pushchairs were ok though. There is no parking available at the palace so you need to find parking at the NCP which is expensive £31 for the day or try and come early and find some street parking.

2 minutes ago I really love walking through the pavilion gardens. I walked through there on thursday with my 3 year old. I took time to have a good look at the nature and the wonderful beauty of this place. The busking was also wonderful and really put a happy vibe in the air. After looking around we saw a few squirrels and a fox was sleeping. It's nice you can get so close to nature in the city.

Its a good experience well maintained and many things to see. Its not that big , you might take around 1 hour to view all rooms and paintings. Some amazing gold art work and furnitures. Overall good experience if you want to spend some time in history of Brighton

Great place, great park, good medieval type architecture of Persian origins. We didn’t go in due to overpriced tickets, but roaming around the park and outside was good enough. Would recommend.

A new room has been opened last week at the Royal pavilion: the Saloon. Freshly restored it's nice to see the extravagant and rich finish of this typical George IV architecture, just as it looked in its glorious days. Impressive the work done with pure platinum on the hand painted wall paper, painstakingly rebuilt to match the old silver in its former glory.

Growing up in Brighton seeing the exterior of the Palace as I passed regularly but never stepping foot inside, until now! I was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to see what was behind this Indian inspired building. To my surprise the interior isstill of flamboyant oriental designs. It's a great historical building and a must do when visiting Brighton! I would recommend the audio guides whilst walking around! You can also enjoy tea and cakes on the rooftop balcony.

An absolutely amazing building with truly extraordinary interiors. It is definitely worth going out of your way to visit. In fact, I will be going again. The audio guide was well done and in these COVID times the reduced crowds were bliss, you got a decent look at the smaller rooms as you had them virtually to yourself. It is worth noting that a pair of earbuds or headphones for your mobile are handy as they are providing the audio guide only online on your phone at present.

The pleasure palace is a must see tourist attraction. The interiors are out of this world and the scones are also great in the tea room. Do get the audio guide it gives amazing insight into the stories and background of this unique pleasure palace.
