Today was my first time with Hobs and I must say that their service left me awestruck. I had my hair color done by Chloe - Very friendly, experienced, guided me thru every step as I really had no idea of what I wanted to do. She gave some good advice. Had my Haircut done by Sonia - very polite, experienced, and helpful. Both of them together did magic to my hair. The Salon followed all covid precautions and was very clean. Extremely happy with the results and Highly recommend. Thanks Chloe and Sonia!

I went into HOB Camden yesterday for my first haircut in 9 months, due to lockdown. I was impressed by their COVID prevention( Plastic partitions and mask wearing). My hairdresser Fred was very friendly and highly professional. I showed Fred a picture of what I wanted and he styled it to perfection.
My haircut by Fred was the best haircut I have ever had, I am being serious. I am always critical of my haircut after an appointment at other hairdressers however this time I was extremely happy!

It has been my third time now at the Hob Camden branch, and as always the experience has been beyond excellent and I cannot recommend this salon enough. The staff is extremely professional, attentive and polite. I have had the pleasure to get a haircut by Maki and she was absolutely amazing. Such a sweet person and such a great hairdresser. She understood EXACTLY what I wanted without having a lot of explaining to do and the result was perfect! Super precise and attentive to detail. I cannot recommend her enough, she is a gem and has been so so very lovely. She made my day!

I started coming to Hob Camden regularly after I got my first haircut here with FRED! Highly recommend this hairdresser! specially if you like creative cuts. He will cut your hair in a way that it will be easy to take care of them on your own even without any professional tools!
I got a haircut with him just before the lockdown, and even after 3 month I was still capable of controlling my hair and being happy with the way it looked!

Probably the worst cut and colour I’ve ever had. My hair was so broken afterwards and the cut made my hair look even thinner. Has taken me over a year and my hair hasn’t fully covered. My own fault really has my long term hairdresser from a different salon had gone on holiday and I should have waited. I refrain from writing bad reviews but I wish someone had saved me the heartache.
Hi Sophie, well done on the passive aggressive reply. I did contact Hobs afterwards and was met with a mediocre response. In the future perhaps respond to negative reviews and take responsibility instead of trying to disapprove MY experience.

I wanted so badly to like my new haircut.
After having my hair cut previously by a hobsalons tutor as a model and absolutely loving his care and attention to detail, the way he asked me about myself, what I do and what I wanted from the cut filled me with confidence and left me with a cut that was modern, individual and suited me.
I returned around a month later as the style was growing out and I wanted an amendment to the length at the back.
The experience with this hairdresser was very different. There was not much time spent asking questions and it was not clear what the plan would be before the cutting began. The resulting haircut I really dislike and it feels hacked into with no real care or attention. It’s too short and it doesn’t suit me. I feel like the hairdresser just did what she wanted and didn’t pay attention to my needs.
On top of this, after the shock of the haircut I left in a bit of a fluster, too embarrassed to say anything and seemingly forgot to pay. I got a phone call later from Hob without words ‘you walked out without paying!’ which I found to be quite accusing and a little rude. I paid over the phone to the value £57.

My experience was great from booking my appointment all the way to the treatment. Staff was amazing - Jordan was my hairstylist, did an amazing job with my colour, and had Emmanuel cut my hair. Have curly hair and was worried at first, but he listened to my concerns and did a brilliant job. Would recommend to anyone to go to this branch.

Been a client of Maki's now for about four years on and off - she's ace, friendly and I've never been disappointed with her work! Hob on the whole is a decent salon - some of the fixtures need a bit of a refresh, but that aside, it's a good salon.

This is by far the worst salon I have been to in a long long while. I’m not judging them by one visit alone but 3, I have them 3 chances and although I rarely publish bad reviews they deserve this one. The person that cut my hair obviously didn’t want to be there and after discussing the hairstyle I wanted, she done the complete opposite and looked really happy with the result. I have been to places that cut your hair for £9 just for a laugh but at least I knew I couldn’t be disappointed with the result, this place is not much better, I paid £40 for the haircut. I now had to go somewhere else to fix it and they done a great job and charged me £19. The prices they charge are just ridiculous and the haircuts even more so. Most reviews look fake anyway. I might invest the same £40 x 3 to get someone to put some more bad reviews here, see how they like it.

I had a great time at the Camden salon. Jade coloured my hair and put up with me being a total pain.. As I wasn’t 100% as to what I actually wanted!! She was patient and professional. I love what she did with my hair! Thank you ???? Jourdan cut my hair. Only a trim but that said. It was just what I wanted, a cut that would just go unnoticed! Perfection. I had a great chat with both ladies. In fact they are a very inspiring pair of women for different reasons!!

Awful service. They clearly don't know what balayage is. I asked for a colour that blends in with my natural hair colour, the result was awful. Left patchy areas in my hair, it looked like I did it myself at home. They don't know how to do colour tastefully. I had to go back for a tone down. The cut was miserable as well, not what I asked for at all. I even showed a picture how I wanted it cut. The stylist cut it her own way, and it also felt like she was in a rush. I'm very disappointed, will not be returning.

Excellent service from the moment I showed up 15 minutes early and they took me. The included shampoo is amazing, and the stylists genuinely work to make sure you leave feeling confident. $31 is a bit pricey, but for the level of service and comfort, it's totally worth it. Will come back here next time I'm in London. Jess @ the Camden location is amazing btw!

After trying out a few local salons in the area and not having much luck I thought I would try Hobs. I was pleasantly surprised! I booked a junior stylist as they was the only person available at such short notice at Christmas and she certainly didn't disappoint! The attention to detail was exceptional, from asking me if I wanted my foot rest up whilst I was having my hair washed to the time and effort it took to tackle my unruly fringe at the end. It was clear that the stylist had run over my time slot and her next client was waiting but that didn't stop her from carrying on with my hair until it looked perfect and I was happy. To be honest I thought this was going to be a one off place for me as a last minute Christmas booking as I couldn't find anything else available but I'm pleased to say I will definitely be back for my next cut! One very happy customer.

Had a great experience there this week. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out I was well looked after. The colourist who did my hair (his name has slipped my mind, I think may have been David) did an amazing job at evening out a dodgy colour from a previous hairdressers, it's such a shame he is leaving this weekend as I would definitely want him to colour my hair again. Nevertheless I will be returning as I am confident that I will receive another brilliant colour and fantastic service again. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER :D

This is an amazing place. I had never been somewhere where I felt as looked after and thought about. I had a proper consultation before my first appt (with the stylist who I had on the day) and he was great. By having the colouring done in a separate area it is quiet and peaceful. The whole place is great. I took a few hours out to relax with a glass of wine and came out looking like a million bucks. No one tried to push appointments and products on me. Cannot wait to go back in a few weeks.

I called them last week to book an appointment. But I was told to go in for a consultation. So I went on Monday morning. I had no consultation but I managed to finally book an appointment for today. So I took a day off and went to Hob in Camden. Well my name was not on system and there was no one available.
If you go to a cheap hairdresser (and HOB is NOT CHEAP) you won't get treated the way I was treated.
For what you pay, you expect people to treat you with respect. At least you would expect people to be able to do their job (open your pc, write a name down for the right day/hours).
I work in customer service and well, mine is five stars, theirs in one.
Thanks Hob I am going to give my money to someone else. Needless to say, I'll tell my friends to do same.

Alessio, I think he is by far the best hairdresser that I ever had, professional, polite and knowledgeable. He did exactly what I asked him to do, nothing more, nothing less. I love Maki!! I have been coming here for about 7 years, and I’m always happy with my cut. Maki is so lovely as a person and takes so much care and consideration for my hair. I have a lot of mad curly hair, and she understands it (not all hairdressers do). Last time I went from mid length to a short bob, and it was a great collaboration :) today I took the plunge on getting an undercut at the back. So exciting! I don’t know if I would have the trust in other people to really go for it. I really trust her judgement and advice, and also never feel pushed to do something I don’t want.
