Both my daughters attend this nursery at present and I am extremely happy with the way my daughters have developed whilst being at Little Poppets. The staff make you feel their child is looked after and developing. Any ( not that I have had many) concerns are forthcoming to management and this is always important. My girls go and come back happy. Thanks Little Poppets From one happy mummy and daddy

My daughter attended Little Poppets for 10 months and loved it. The staff are very friendly and made my little girl feel welcome from the very beginning. It was really hard at first as my daughter had never left us before, so the first few weeks were screaming, crying and just full of tears however Miss Roma and Miss Shay supported me, my husband and my child the best We could have ever imagined. With it being our first time sending our child off to nursery we didn’t know how things worked or what to expect but any concerns we had were dealt with straight away- whenever I’d call up the nursery staff would be more than happy to help if they were busy they’d simply ask me to come in a few minutes earlier to discuss my concerns and issues. Now that my little one has started “big school” she really does miss her teachers at Little Poppets and talks about the nursery all the time so they clearly must be doing something right ! ☺️???? Thanks Little Poppets !!

My daughter goes to little poppets and she’s never enjoyed going somewhere so much. To read the review above, which I know was a while ago but still bugged me, as I understand that nobody can be perfect but all the ladies that work there always do their best. My daughter arrives happy and leaves happy. She’s made some great friends and is turning into such a clever girl. Before she struggled with sharing and even being with other younger children since going to Little poppets she has blossomed huge amounts. And she always come home clean and tidy so they take great care when doing activities. I’m also a young first time mum and they made it so comforting knowing she would be taken care of and they’ll do their best to help out, which they have. I hope other people don’t judge the nursery from one persons opinion, as i wouldn’t send my girl anywhere else.

I would never recommend this nursery to anyone. Last Friday on 6th Oct 2017, I went to this nursery for a taster session for my 20 month old son in group 2 (2 – 3 year olds). I had already tried a taster session in group 1 (babies to 2 year olds) but it seemed that he was bored there and so on the advice of the nursery’s manager I took another appointment for taster session in group 2. During the taster session I was surprised to see that there were 18 or 20 children in group 2 who were looked after by only 2 carers. One child was crying so much but I saw that neither of the carers talked to him or gave him any type of emotional support. Instead, they sat on their chair and continued painting, colouring and glittering on a paper with other children. I thought he might have done something wrong and that could be why they may want to exclude him for a little while. When I asked one of the carers why this child was crying so much I was informed that he had recently recovered from illness and he was crying because he was tired. I was shocked by the carers’ attitude for not doing anything to help the child. I was at the nursery for an hour and for almost half of that time I could hear that child cry. Another child had done a poop and was waiting near the toilets to be cleaned. Neither of the carers wanted to take the responsibility to clean him. Instead, the manager changed the child’s nappy when she came after 15 to 20 minutes. I left my son in group 2 playroom with the other children and I could see from CCTV (not covering the whole room) from outside the playroom that he was fine and playing. For the Last 10 to 15 minutes I was in another room upstairs with the manager to discuss nursery care, charges and other things. At the end of taster session, the manager and I entered the playroom. I was searching for my son and saw him alone from all the other children and he was crying so much. He was trying to climb a chair and then a table. Neither of the carers were paying attention, they were on the other side of the room talking to each other. The manager pointed out to them that my son had climbed the table and he could fall from there. The manager helped my son come down and when my son saw me he cried louder. He looked at me angrily for putting him there and then ran out of the room. I asked the carers why he was crying so much but they just said he was crying because I left him there for an hour. I knew that that was not right as I saw him playing with other kids earlier. It seemed to me that firstly, there were not enough carers for the number of children present in group 2 and secondly, the carers did not want to take any responsibility. They just wanted to play with the children and not to take care of them when they need it.
