We had a great experience from start to finish with a faulty balcony door, we're based in Soho and like a lot of places it just wasn't safe to leave it as was. Court Security were really helpful and quick and I felt like a valued customer from start to finish, the door ended up being in worse repair than I first thought so the engineer didn't just do some shoddy quick fix but advised on a longer term and more practical solution. We now have a lovely safe door again and couldn't be happier with the service we received :) nice team, great service and good value!

Great experience from start to finish. Both Kim and the engineer were very friendly and helpful. A very smooth and efficient service, from a call to a new lock being fitted within 24 hours. Would definitely recommend.

They make up the prices for keys, telling me its a security key so they can charge more, when I know it is not. Plus the only place i have ever been that say minimum card spend is £20... Tax dodgers also.

A well located store, which is well equipped. Unfortunately it seems to be owned by a family of football hooligans - who are friendly until they make a mistake and you ask for it to be corrected, at which point you can be expect to be either verbally or potentially physically abused - their core ethos is consistently "The customer is always wrong".
I have been to Court Security 4 times now for more complicated jobs i.e. keys cut by code, cylinder re-keying - I found the service of (what I believe to be) the daughter to be better - she was knowledgeable and achieved what I asked for without incident, also the non-family staff are okay to deal with too - however the father and son are both unpleasant and obnoxious individuals, and in the case of the son - lacking basic knowledge every locksmith should have.
What other reviewers say about not refunding for bad work is very much true. In fact it is even worse - if what they do is clearly not what you've asked for, they'll demand payment for it anyway!
Some years ago the father attempted to physically remove me from the store for asking for a refund - I had to grab my stuff and run!

Visit this shop at 9am. Need set of 3 keys cut. Show them one particular key that other locksmiths do not have stock of the master. Ask if they can do it. They say 'Yes' and give me a ticket and tell me to come back in 20 minutes. I am due to be at work by 09:30am but worth the wait to get the job sorted. Return in 20 minutes. Then I am told they don't have the master. Like the other locksmiths, they could have checked this in a minute at 9am. I was the only customer in the shop and there were about four staff behind the counter. No point getting only two of keys cut. I could have done that with the previous locksmith. Big waste of time.

Awful customer experience. I wish I'd read some of these reviews before I tried them out. Staff were not just unfriendly, but outright rude. Not once did I receive any apology for the fact that the products they made for me didn't work or that I had to continue coming back over and over again until I finally got a refund- only after having to fight for it. I will never go back.

I am a regular user of Court Security Locksmiths. They are very friendly and will always give any job no matter how easy, strange, intricate or complex it may be their undivided attention. The Manager is always on hand to assist any queries i may have and the team of engineers are always polite on arrival and throughout the job to completion and have never had an issue with any works carried out. I would highly recommend and in fact to several others who have had the same expert treatment. Reliable, friendly, helpful and cost effective, what more would you want! Thanks as always

Very poor customer service. I phoned and asked if they could cut a key for my scooter. The key blank was online for £4.50, but there wasn't stock anywhere. I had also been to about 5 locksmiths closer to me to try and get the key cut, to no avail. They asked me to email a picture of the key and then said (after I phoned them back, they didn't phone me back) that they would be able to match it to something. So I made the trek in and they were able to cut it. So I was pleased for that. However, they charged me £18.50 to have what can only be described as the cheapest looking key cut, it looks like a key to a gym locker. After the extortionate price tag was spat out at me by the less than helpful lady behind the desk, I protested but pulled out my card. The gentleman who served me (I hope he was in training, because he really didn't know what was going on and had to keep asking for help) informed me that they do not take card payments for anything under £20. All in all, I was relieved that they were able to cut me a spare key, but I would've preferred to have been told that this would be the price over the phone. I would have continued trying else where. I also believe the card policy is too high, and the general attitude towards customers (or me anyway) was very poor and matter of fact.

I really need some keys cut urgently but jesus the reviews are so consistently bad going back years and the feedback response from the owners is also very confrontational that there is no way I will be using this store even tho it's super close to where I need. Thanks to all those who have warned me in advance about the abusive nature of staff and refusal to make right keys that are not cut properly. I am a property manager and cannot risk my clients money or my time with companies that behave like this wow.
Edit (04/18) - In response to owners reply - No I am not a local competitor. I manage short term holiday lets. I just want companies to know that people do read these reviews before using their services and if they aren't up to scratch you will lose the business. My advice to you, instead of trying to fob people like me off by saying we're just jealous competitors would be to improve your services and get lots of 5 star ratings. No I haven't tried your service, I admitted that in the review, I also said I wasn't prepared to take the risk based on all the previous reviews. Your reply though confirms what others have said. You're not very good at taking criticism and not worth the risk.

We used this locksmith for our office in the past, there were often issues with keys not working. The excuse was that our set of keys wasn't the original one, but only the landlord had got it so there was no way to get it. However, apparently it's a common issue that other customers of this shop had, so perhaps not really a fault on our side.
We also accept mistakes or faults can happen, but the worst was the harsh and rude attitude of the lady behind the counter every time I went back asking to remake a key that didn't fit. Was it really my fault? You pay a fortune to copy a key, you expect it to be working properly, that's it.
For my natural attitude, and also for my job, as liaising with clients, customers, students and stakeholders, I am a nice and polite person even when I submit a complain. I didn't appreciate being treated SO poorly. I understand mistakes can happen, but there's no need to be rude.
We moved to a competitor placed in Goodge Place and super happy with it. Surprise, our keys now fit!

OF COURSE THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THEY ARE FULLY BOOKED BUT THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE THEIR BEST TO HELP AND MADE RECOMMENDATIONS ON OTHER COMPANIES. THE ONLY PITY IS THAT THEY ARE NOT OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK !

I have been using Court Security for a number of years and can honestly say the service received is second to none! They are always friendly and more than helpful. Running a lettings business I use them regularly for duplicate keys and lock changes and have never had any complaints. The staff are always professional and I look forward to a continued working relationship.

I have been using Court Security for the last 6 years and I cannot speak more highly of them. Their locksmith service is excellent with no job too large or small and from the thousands of keys I have had cut I do not think I have ever had to bring one back as it didn’t work. Their customer service is superb and they are always happy to give their expert advice even if no job comes at the end of it. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a locksmith or key cutting service.

Really good service. I had to come back twice because the barrel key for the deadlock didn't work so they cut me a brand new one free of charge which works perfectly. Both guys I dealt with were professional and understood that I'd come a long way so did everything to get it right. Thank you!

I will never visit this shop again. The customer service from most members of staff is appalling. Visited twice. The first time I was absolutely dumbfounded as to how I was treated by a female member of staff when I returned because they did not cut my keys properly in the first place. The way she spoke to me when my keys did not work was unbelievably rude and aggressive. When I went back for a 3rd time (same day)to finally pick up my keys, I was served by (what appeared to be the owner/manager) and he was very lovely, he apologised for not getting them right the first time (even though he was not the one who messed them up).
I needed more keys cut just the other day and so went back again - hoping to be served by the lovely gentleman but instead there was the aggressive and rude woman (mid 20's) and the young guy who messed up my keys the last time. This time they didn't have enough of the type of key I wanted and they gave some excuse that they ordered them but they didn't come in. I asked if I could use a card even though it didn't total £20, they said no and I challenged suggesting it was their fault that the total was not £20. I was given a very stern no (from the **all powerful woman)so I took my key and left. This is a real shame as I work for a property developer and get keys cut often. I have sent an email to all my colleagues and our partner companies to not go to such a place. They need to get rid of their incompetent staff before I would ever go back!

I work for a relatively large company based in Soho, and have been visiting Court Security for 2 years now. They have always been extremely helpful and accommodating with every request we have thrown at them! Kimberley and the boys are always behind the desk with smiles on their faces which in London at present, is hard to come by.
I wouldn't take our business any where else, as I believe they offer the best value for money and certainly the best service. I can't fault them.

As mentioned in another review they refuse refunds on keys that do not work (giving me a credit note instead). As the consumer rights act changed in 2015 to prevent this behaviour I will be reporting them to local trading standards immediately. I have discussed my issue with multiple people at my work who have also had the same problem with them so I assume they have a poor quality machine.
The manager was incredibly rude when I questioned their refusal for a refund, she even seemed to enjoy the situation.
I will not be returning.

Quoted £15 per key for a radial key cut. That's the kind you find on a cheap bike lock. Turned up a week later and told £20 plus an 1.5 hour wait for the machine to cut it.... What a load of rubbish. If you need a key like this go to Paddington, Barry Bros they are £10 and cut there while u wait. Up your game guys and don't be telling someone who used to cut keys a load of flipping lies. Bye bye customer!

They have been round to our premises to help us out on many occasions
Once was a lock jam and they fixed that no problem
Then we had another serious issue with our back door codelock..fixed!!
Court Security have been around as long as I have been working in Soho.
If you have a lock or related problem, your first port of call (in the storm!)

If you want to buy an overpriced key that won't fit your locks, then this is the place to go. If you then enjoy being abused, bullied, shouted at, and insulted when you return your defective, overpriced unfit for purpose key you'll love the experience this locksmith provides.
However, if you prefer to have keys cut that actually work I'd advise trying a more reputable business.

I have been able to build a fantastic rapport with the staff members and their expertise have been of great assistance to me in my line of work. If they do not have a particular type of lock in stock then they always ensure a fast service (usually next day) on getting that particular item for me. I will always continue to use Court Security for my security needs.

The shop itself is conveniently located in Soho that is the only good thing and here are the bad:
- Very overpriced. Prepare to pay 3 times more than a standard locksmith
- Staff are good except the store manager. Extremely rude, swearing and shouting and abusive.
- Store manager mis-sold the item intentionally and when I looked it up online it was exactly what I did not want. They asked for the payment in advance and then refuse to refund it.
- BE VERY CAREFUL!!! They don't do the refunds nor exchanges and tries to sell you crap that costs peanuts elsewhere.
- Overall recommendation is very negative and I urge everyone to AVOID this shop until management changes or else you will end up with the item that you don't want, paid 3 times the normal price and abused.

Today I went to get two keys cut and someone recommended Court Security to me. There were 3 people behind the desk when I arrived. The gentleman at the front was extremely helpful, whilst the other two characters sat behind eating lunch and on their laptops. Once the keys were cut, I asked whether or not they accepted card, the man at the back, an older gentleman, without looking up, shouted it had to be £20. As my keys amounted to just over £18, i asked perhaps if they could give me the change back and charge me £20. They man in the back, again without looking up, shouted 'no way, thats not how it works'. I replied ok, and then asked if i could somehow make up the cost by buying a key ring, asking how much they were. The man in the back then began to shout at me, asking me why i was acting like a child. The woman then began to get involved at which point I pointed out how outrageous they were acting. The man in the back (who I presume is the owner) then got up, came up to the desk, and physically threatened me, saying 'do you want me to sort you'. At this point I felt like perhaps it was the right time to leave. I asked for my keys back, they refused, again stating 'that is not how it works'. It is safe to say I was unsatisfied with the service.
