Hey to you if you are reading this review.
I would like to share my first experience with this company.
I have made a booking to install 1 normal room door lock.
The agent over the phone explained that the quote would be £69 for the labour and £20+VAT for the part itself.
1. The contractor was late and I had to chase up the office 3 times until they have explained to me he will be late.
2. The contractor (Phillip) has never got in touch with me about where he is.
3. The job itself was terrible. He explained that I should not pull the door handle to hard otherwise it will come off. I asked him to secure it but he explained he cannot do anything because he does not have screws to secure the lock.
4. This is the worst part.... When I met him outside the home he said straight away 180+Vat ? How do you give me this price without even looking at the job?
I told him I was quoted by your office £69+20+VAT initially.
He explained that he will look at the lock and check if that is correct.
Without consent he started the works and asked me to pay £222 for one door lock that was basically hanging if you look at the pictures.
I had no words. So I called the office and they said speak with the contractor itself. Without clue I paid the contractor and hoovered up the mess he left behind of pieces of wood.
If you look closely at the photos, you will see mismatching screws also.
Honestly guys... half of these reviews are fake.
Have a look at the real one.

Apart from the operative being a nice bloke (hence why 2 stars and not 1) that did the work, the rest of the experience was terrible.
1. The first person who took all the details of the job did not log it in their system correctly.
2. The second person assured me it was all logged in.
3. When the operative came to do the work I had to explain everything to him again as he had no notes in his system.
4. The agreed labour price was £50+Vat but the operative had £59+vat on his system.
5. I told the company upfront that I only need a cylinder changed and that the cylinder bought online costs £5 to £7 no more. They had a minimum £20+vat charge for materials which I was reluctant to accept but had no choice.
6. When he finished the job his system wanted £34+vat which I refused to pay. I called his office and it was only after a discussion with them that the guy off his own back reduced the material cost to £20+vat.
I rather they tell charged more for the callout but were honest about the material costs. Charging 400%/500% on materials is ridiculous. In this instance they called me to give me a 10% reduction in labour charge only to try and charge me a load more on the material cost.
Be very specific in the beginning with any locksmith company or you will end up with a £150/£200 bill.

Guy who answered the phone was not v helpful, on more than one occasion he stated he had told me one thing when actually he told me something completly different. Locksmith did the job but was unfriendly and not particularly sympathetic.

The locksmith was very friendly and professional, the only con was the price, as cutting a bicycle U-lock was done with a diamond drill in less than 2 minutes but the price was £70. They were still cheapest out of all I tried to call though, I remember one saying the price would be at least £120

This service was okay. I called a different provider at 7am, but then when I got invoiced I noted that it was from Keys4U. The guy arrived at 9.40am - which was a lot later than they said. He was annoyed at lack of parking and traffic, which is not in my control. It was an easy fix and then I was charged more than the usual rate. Not sure I would use again.

I stupidly locked myself out of my house and rang somewhere else 1st that couldn't get to me until morning. Rang here and the person i spoke with was friendly and upfront about cost and time it would take. They was on time and was back inside in seconds. Yes its expensive for a few seconds work but it was my fault and it was an evening and all I wanted was to get back in so you pay the price. Plus I have no idea how much it should cost. Overall I would use again in an emergency!
I do have a recommendation though, when i googled locksmith your company came up but not under this name. It came up as 'expert locksmith services' in the business ads and there was no reviews and no website. I only rang as I was desperate but when I got the invite to leave a review I see its a proper company with loads of positive reviews! If I had seen this I would of felt so much better so not sure why this was but yeah just thought I'd let you know.

He was very professional and compassionate for my situation. I was quotes £49 labour, plus £20 and £60 for the two locks (plus VAT). Locksmith arrived and was quite aggressive in his tone saying that it would cost £316 plus vat claiming that it was a very difficult job - although I know it wasn't.
He spent two mins drilling the lock, then changed only the barrel in the main lock, and a new mortice lock. TOTAL COST + £379.20
BE WARNED, THE PRICES THEY QUOTE OVER THE PHONE ARE NOT THE PRICES THEY ACTUALLY CHARGE.
I will never use this company again. I advise you not to.

Got locked out on a rainy Sunday afternoon and was expecting a few hours wait for anyone to turn up. Phoned keys4u and they said it would be between 30 mins to 1 hour. George arrived within 30 minutes and managed to open the door quickly. Their charge was quite reasonable. Will definitely recommend them

Locksmith arrived told me 5 mins to replace lock, an hour later still there. Had no clue what he was doing. Left the door loose and rattling. My husband had to correct the messhe left it in.
