I'm trying to contact this shop for 2 weeks , made 2 bookings online , left a voice message but no one seems to care !! I didn't sold the items as i wanted to give for charity. Then you can't complain or request for donations when your staff are clearly not doing the job they should be doing . I bet if it was to collect cash you would run to collect it ! I will never call again or donate to British heart foundation , as you clearly do not need donations !!

I've bought and donated here. This is the best place for furniture. High quality stuff for good prices and all for charity. Wish there were more around! In terms of donating, make sure the furniture is pulled apart and can go through the door. The movers make minimal effort and do not even bring an Alan key. They seem to refuse things that don't fit in the elevator. They will however take useful things as long as you keep it efficient for them. I found it worthwhile to donate. They also texted me 30 min before arrival which was great. Dates are always pretty far in the future (around 2 weeks) because they cover different areas on different days. For example, they might only come to your area on a Wednesday. I'm glad I donated!

Making A Donation I have a nearly brand new and very stylish John Lewis sofa bed to donate. The phone or my online requests are never answered. I will have to EBay it. I’m very disappointed as I would preferred to give to charity.

If you wish to make a furniture donation, don't waste your time. I went to their shop at Old Kent road, and showed photos of each item to be sure they wanted them. They said it was ok for all of them to be collected. At collection day, not only they came extremely late with no explanation, but they took 1 small item only as they had to rush... I suppose. So it's a total waste of time and the van staff is quite rude. Too bad as the original idea to recycle and help heart research was quite good. It's a shame it's so discouraging for people willing to make donations.

Called in for a collection date to donate some furniture and the delivery driver never showed up. Got no courtesy call to say that they weren't coming. I made the effort to call the store so I could find out what was going on. They said that the delivery driver was coming but they never showed. I'm appalled and very disappointed. I've been ringing back to see if I can get another delivery date but no one in the store is picking up the phone. I have a donation card and donate in shop as well with them and it's disappointing I'll have to find another charity to donate to

Had a lot of bedroom furniture to donate, the soonest they could collect was 2 weeks after the date requested. Got an email confirmation and a phone call the day before to say they were coming to collect on said day. Waited all day for them to not even show up. Made calls to them the same day and the next, no response. Time wasters.

Lovely, helpful staff. You need to pop in regularly as they always have new stuff coming in. It can be a bit hit and miss - but worth checking out. The good items sell fast - so there are some great bargains to be found.

Dreadful joke of a service making a fool of kind people willing to donate. Waited in all day long for them and nobody turned up. Had one missed call and attempted all day long to call back and only got a voicemail. I am left with a load of bulky furniture, books and other items clogging my landing because of these unscrupulous, unprofessional people. Will NEVER trust this 'charity' again. Trust me find somewhere else to donate your items!

I ordered a collection the van turned up with two of the rudest and LAZIEST people I have ever met and dealt with I had a bit of stuff to collect I had two washing machines the young lady asked if they were working as far as I know yes but she do worry not we have a place that tests them if no good we send them for recycling they took my two sofas plus some electrical goods they spoke English but all the time speaking in their mother tongue so I did not understand I think that is down right rude they said no cannot take I am sixty seven I can lift it with you also had a tail lift on as no heavy lifting involved I asked them are you volunteers they said no we are employed they must have someone in the know if I had a company now definitely not employ them unemployable

BHF need to use pickup drivers with better manners. The two who called last week to collect my donation of a leather sofa came right at the end of the time slot, failed to properly introduce themselves, spoke to one another in my own living room without reference to me and left refusing my donation with barely a couple of words. I don't mind that my donation was refused. My sofa met the fire regulations and was clearly resalable to someone with a good eye and a willingness to give it a little love and attention, but in the end that's BHF's decision. But please, I know you're a charity, but some basic customer service training - we used to call it good manners - is surely not beyond your budget?

Great shop - helpful staff and low prices. Obviously you need to be lucky on what they have in at the time - but usually you can buy better quality here used than you can get new elsewhere.

If their is an option for a zero star I will have give the zero .I was in the store yesterday morning 11/09/18 in old Kent rd. looking around and Mens were busy moving the furnitures around. One of the file cabinets caught my attention. I ask the elderly lady if I can purchase it. Was £40, she then ask me if I want it delivered and I said yes. She ask for my post code which is se1 is about ten minutes walk from the store, she told me will be £20 pounds. I then said to her I think that is bit too much as I am only 3 minute drive away. In return she replied do you want it or not. With a complete attitude. I replied again to say I think the delivery charge is bit too much, she just walk away. It may be a charity shop but it still cost nothing to be a bit polite to your customers. I was shocked with the attitude. I will still support the British heart foundation but not through your old Kent rd

I booked collection service online and got a confirmation from the BHF said this store will contact me within three days for arranging the collection, while three days later, I didn't get a phone call, or an email from this store to discuss the collection. Then I called this store to discuss the arrangement, the staff took my number and my name said they will call me later, and guess what, no phone call at all. I just don't understand what's going on there. The management really need to solve this problem, you cannot promise something that you cannot deliver. This is a charity store, what you guys are doing right now is ruin the trust that you build with local community, and your local community won't support you without trust.

Nice place to go for a look at the secondhand furniture because the stock is always changing. Prices are reasonable and it is nice to support the charity.
