Stepping foot into the gigantic Colosseum for everything DIY was an experience in itself ,greeted by the friendly staff at the Face covering security checkpoint .How anyone finds there way around stores this size without an A to Z map baffles me . Signage is good though and again the knowledgeable staff are around to help out ...there seems to be many gaps on the infinite shelves which isn't what I expect from such a well established retailer .Lack of price tags on the shelves with stock made my purchases somewhat risky as to the final bill .( Ok I should of had the B&Q app on my phone but that was left in my vehicle) ....
overall a pleasant experience was had during my visit and no doubt I'll go back for the items I forgot as I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of the establishment.

First time at this store, historically patronised the Depot in Leicester. Enjoyed the visit to this store, both in terms of level of service and product choice. Having sorted my click & collect purchase, had a browse for other products and was so impressed that we're considering changing our preferred outlet despite it being much further away from our home.

Large enough that it's not crowded even when there are lots of vehicles in the car park. Relatively well stocked. Visible, busy and friendly staff. Similar to the Coventry store

Our go to store for painting and decorating and I love their Valspar paint range. I was able to get shades that seem near impossible to find and they look lovely. Also, the burger van out front is a guilty pleasure!

Went today to get 5 fence panels in the sale. Loughborough website said there was 19 left. I asked for assistance to find them as there was none in the garden section. Paul assisted who normally works at Derby. The system would not identify if there were any left or where they would be. He asked me to enquire at customer services. She was as helpful as not asking as she basically stated if they were not there they have been sold and the internet system hasn’t updated. I nearly walked out and Paul came running, told me to wait he was going to look at the back stores. He came out with 5 panels. Seems there is good staff that go the extra mile and some that can’t be bothered. Thank you Paul for this morning, you deserve a bonus!

Most of the staff are absolutely useless. Don't expect anyone to be able to actually help. They also never stock their shelfs properly so you'll have to go through every box on every shelf to find what you need

DIY. B&Q. You want it cheaper, try screwfix (they are both owned by Kingfisher). This branch has a nice big car park, easy to get to, large range and good social distancing practices. I'm about 1/2 way between this branch and the Leicester branch, and often pick this one in preference

Good store, great range and generally fair prices.
I have used it many times before, but sometimes lacking the right advise when you need something, hence my reason for 4 stars.
If you know what you want, it is great, but if you are unsure, you need to find the right member of staff to help you.
My recent visit was to purchase 2 replacement bulbs for none standard light fittings we have, and I asked an assistant for help, but what I got, looked right and fitted, but failed to work, possibly because they are now LED type, so will be returning them next time I am in town. Note, only one bulb had gone, but I decided to get 2, the existing bulb works fine in both light fittings.

My visit was ok but stocks on the shelves are low with lots of items missing in the bays. Disappointing to see it in this state used to be able to get all I need but now need to shop around. Also the pilfering of items by petty thieves from sealed packs looks really bad for presentation.

The use of bar codes with the prices and no description to what they belong to, especially when a area is in disarray is frustrating to say the least. This is almost impossible when you are elderly or infirm and the item is on the bottom shelf.
