I'm so grateful for the continued wealth of services and training provided by YES and their fabulous Job Developers. They helped me in every aspect of improving my skills and finding the right job, especially ones hard to find and break into on my own as a young person.

Dated 2010. After graduating college looking for employment. YES offered a job that was a start up. Manufacturers / Distribution of Industrial goods and services. I was to learn the industry under a mentorship style basis. They took advantage of my skills and used me till payment from YES program ended. Basically after 3 months probationary. They found my replacement who has more experience and understanding of the industry, and they did not keep me. If I was too registered a business and file my own taxes. If that was an option. I would of been in that route. YES failed to follow up, or check up on my status. I seriously doubt they helped youths in finding their road to success. They did not ask for feed back or coaching to make sure I was in the right transition into the workforce. YES was to help me shape into a person that I am currently am. But unfortunately, till this date. I have not landed a good job. I hope having this review will look and ask the right questions while dealing with organizations like YES.

Great experience!! I have been looking for a job for more than two months and then I decided to contact some employment services. I'm glad that I seek help from YES. I had sessions with Sarah-Marie, she is EXTREMELY helpful, professional, and sweet person. Within two weeks I had a huge list of jobs to choose from. Thanks, Sarah- Marie and all the team of YES.

This is a total SCAM! More than a month ago I applied for a 2 week paid program at this agency and they called me and asked all about my life, then they sent me the contracts, I signed everything and sent back to them together with all of my information and they NEVER got back to me! I called the office so many times and they just won't do anything about it.

Not particularly helpful - they just offer basic advice you already know and tell you to find work on your own. They do offer support after you find work, but do you really need their help afterwards if your goal was just finding work? I got a job on my own and informed them and they told me that they would reach out to the employer to aid me. They never did and I had to go back to follow up so that they would. Even when I do the hard part and find my own job, they still can't do whatever they claim they do.

My success with “YES”, 555 Richmond Street West Suite 711, Toronto I moved to Toronto, Canada in October 2019 and I was struggling to find the right settlement agency in Toronto who can not just help me with my settlement in a new country but also can support and guide me in my job search. I came across “YES” through one of the member at settlement agencies and she asked me to connect with them for my employment search. I went for my first appointment in November 2019 and within two months of their consultation I was able to close two offers and at the position which I desired for. Credit for my success goes to the entire YES team but specially I would like to highlight one name “Sheema Elkhalil”. She is an amazing counsellor, I can’t describe her support and help in just few words. She was always there for me whenever I needed any help in regards to anything. It was never just my job search for her, it was about my well being as well. She is a gem of a person who knows exactly how to get you to the right path. She was equally involved with me in my job search, guided me for interviews and even how I should be commuting to different places. I would like to highly recommend YES and you would be lucky if Sheema is your counsellor. Thank you YES for all your support.

Location: 555 Richmond street west floor# 711 I was worried about a job, not comfortable with where I was at with finding a job. The first week with YES (youth employment Services) I had support, advice and my confidence boosted to try and get into my field. I was grateful to have had the assistance from a phenomenal and knowledgeable case worker Misty Ahmed. She succeeded into getting me into my field, assistance with transportation and would always email me to keep me posted to make sure I made my appointments with her. Thanks again YES staff and especially Misty Sincerely Keto Dixon

I feel as though the Youth Employment Services welcomed me with open arms. From the first day I walked in to right now, they have helped me and provided me with knowledge of what to expect in a workplace. They helped me figure out what I want to be doing in the future and what type of jobs best fit me. Karlie and Nadia both helped me the best they could and answered my questions the best they could. From working on my resume together to helping me be well prepared for my interviews. I have gained multiple job opportunities due to this wonderful program and start my first this Monday. YES helped me better myself and got me motivated to keeping going up and to not let anything bring me down.

Great place with many great people ready to help you. I’m a high schooler in toronto and had trouble finding a job for the past 6-8 months. I got referred to Youth Employment Services by a friend and honestly it was the best decision I made. I arrived on my first day and met my career councilor Chris and he took me in asked about me and my job search. He placed me into the youth summer job program that gives you training on interview skills and how to find a job and I got paid for attending the program!! After they helped me find a job! I now work a part time job and couldn’t be more grateful for there help. I would refer this service to any youth who’s having trouble finding a job and could use some help. Thanks YES and thank you Chris!!

I had the worst experience ever. They seem to be least interested in helping me out. I have never come across such unprofessional behaviour.

I don't know where I would be without YES. I was desperate for employment and my counsellor has recently found me the perfect job - I start within the next couple days! They pay for employment workshops, and are now willing to offer me a gift card so that I can get clothes for work - very important because most of my wardrobe is not work appropriate. Jahred and Chris were super helpful. I would highly recommend if you are in need of employment.

I phoned and emailed at different times asking about some basic provincial programs (laid off and skills training and education) which I was eligible for. I'm . No response by email, they aren't organized. By phone a month later they said they had never heard of these programs before and that they would just do my resume.. Well that's nice, but I'm sure that won't help me in the long run unless I am settling for minimum wage. Even then, what about career planning or education? I already have a resume. I've never gone in person, but they seem to be lacking in knowledge of basic programs, and their tardiness gives me reason to avoid them. I'm 26 disabled and interested in going back to college. Their lack of knowledge and lack of ability to refer to appropriate programs available to me could be potentially harmful and time-wasting. I'm just saying, it isn't viable, and a more naive person going to them could potentially end up in a bad situation because they weren't advocated or referred properly. Overall I'm not impressed.

Not impressed the least bit. I was registered with the yes located at Richmond Street west. After being registered with them for a year the best job they could find me was an under the table job at a call centre where the shifts would always be cancelled. Not to mention I was fired three times in a row because of discrimination from the jobs they did find me. My first job counsellor left yes for another job and my second counsellor did not do anything to help me when i was fired a third time in a row. Absolutely useless. Would not recommend.

I went here June 23rd and honestly didn't even try to help me get a job just because I'm signed up with 3 different job agencies and they said I can only look on the job board to look for a graphic design job or related job! I can't believe I wasted my morning and part of my afternoon travelling from Ajax to this agency and back just to get rejection ???? they could told me this on the phone! I won't be even using you job services again and I won't recommend this to my friend or family period! Don't waste your time here!

They helped me a lot here and prepared me to get a job and now i am confident that i will keep that job. And they are very patient with us. And they pay you to attend and support you in every possible way. And are very flexible and understanding. Thank you stacey for all the time you put in for us and thanks Mark and selma for being such amazing people.

About a year ago, my review would have been negative. Last time I went, the worker that I saw was very rude very transphobic and questioned why I had a different name than the one I had to sign up with. But, it seems that that person was fired or left and that made me really happy. I really didn't want to come back, but something in me said that I should. This time, I had a good run. They helped me out, they were patient with me while I was not really ready to start work yet, and they made me smile. Now I'm working, I feel a lot better, and I don't have to pay for a metropass every month. Thank you guys so much for helping me with getting a job, and making it a lot easier for me to get up in the morning. I'll be recommending this to anyone who needs help.

YES can be useful if You have little to no experience and are looking for an entry level job. The job developer that was assigned to me had a very hard time listening to my job expect ions and set me up with an interview for a minimum wage job, several hours away from where I live.

They set me up with a job that took advantage of me, and when I asked for help they said "we only help with one placement". Thanks Mufasa, you really know how to collect those government checks.

I personally have had a very good experience with YES's Eglinton west office. After signing up, you will be placed into a 3 week long workshop program, Everyday the program starts at 9:30 in the morning and end at 3:30 in the afternoon. some days you will be left out early at 12pm. They will pay you while you are there, At the end of the program, you will be roughly $700 richer and the agency's job developer will give you a job! Depending on your prior work experience the jobs they find you can be very entry level. But hey! A job is better than no job! I got a job through them and now i can finally start paying back my student loan. I highly recommend this agency to anyone with little to none work experience, or is fresh out of university/college. Thanks! Kevin W

My daughter came here to be registered under her employers business so that he could receive payment from his friend who works at this place. she had to leave my grandson with me for 8 hours to travel from Mississauga to come all the way to this location for his friend Mustafa's benefit as well as his even though he already hired her. This place is absurd they did not help her find a job and they didn't help her when she wanted to quit and that man still works there as the MANAGER! Ridiculous. how are you supposed to help the children of the future if this system is rigged just to receive money off of young adolescents. DO NOT COME HERE TO GET A JOB THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

One of the worst employment agencies that I have ever come across ... 1) Basically you signup and never hear from them again 2) Or you signup to only receive emails and sometimes the emails of positions sent to you are for positions you are unqualified for such as jobs that require you to have Certificates 3) The employees didn't seem knowledgeable or couldn't careless about people. The worse part was there lack of organization and communication with clients 4) On top of that the YES staff came off arrogant and rude 5) they waste your time in asking useless questions that don't correspond with what job or career you are looking for All in all, I didn’t have any help in finding a job and I was signed up with them for 3 months, I don’t recommend this agency for anyone to apply.

I haven't had a pleasant experience with them (yet) I've been trying to get a hold of them first by e-mail and then voicemail. I received a call back during work hours they left a message. I've been calling since. I spoke with a rep and she transfered me to a CSR but it went to voicemail. When I asked why there was no one answering, the same woman (I think) said they were all in a workshop. WO why transfer me?

I think YES is the right place for Toronto Teens and unemployed folks. I really like the way they treat people especially Alan Ott and Kofi Amoama. They are very helpful and friendly people and I can assure that these folks are a big asset to YES. I got a job through them and working happily with their amazing support. Thanks, Anu

A complete waste of time and money i have been their client for almost ten years they never help you and the times they do such as redoing my resume i end up with another worker who redoes my resume again and again, I need a job instead all they know how to do is write off that they've helped people. If i did this in the private sector i wouldn't have a job today. They never help people that are seeking employment. to actually receive any assistance from them i brought in a camera and filmed with them knowing how ineffectual they are. It wasn't until i threatened them with placing the posting online that they final scheduled a time for me to see someone. After seeing (waste of time) them through distress they redid my resume for at least the 10th time still I'm seeking employment by myself making everything YES stands for nothing but a rowse. YES is more self-defeating then putting on a sandwich board in the middle of the depression or 2014. Strangers are more effective then YES. If you never want employment again go to YES and begin wasting your time over and over again. I learned my lesson from them, YES is good for nothing but don't take my word for it wait till you try their shity experience you'll never go back again. incompetent and rude staff provide you with an experiance you'll never forget... but dont take my word for it you have to try it yourself to understand.
