Neighbourhoods need places like this friendly family-led business. The spotlessly clean store is an Aladdin's Cave of neatly merchandised items, from all kinds of office and home stationery to books, confectionary and seasonal items. The ATM is free and dispenses small denominations.
The Post Office operation is slick, quick and very helpful; they have saved me a ton of money with smart ideas on packaging, type of service and so on. This really is the beating heart of the community.

Staff can be intimadating , and demanding before actually looking at a person to speak to them. I wear a disability badge and always get looked apon or shouted at before i have even turned around, is very intimadating all the time, but is my local so convinient for my disability.

Very efficient post office. Two main PO windows at the back of the shop and a small PO counter at the front for smaller transactions. Lots of stationary goods, cards, toys, paper, wrapping paper and other items available. Very friendly and efficient staff always on hand to assist buyers. Nearby paid for, on street parking available. Recommended post office.

For over a year now I've been using this post office at least once a week, often 3 or more times as I sell items online and I have always have a great experience. All the staff are really friendly, efficient and helpful. I've never had a single issue in the the entire time using them. During the summer the queues are very short if not non-existent but to avoid any potential queuing I often use the Drop & Go service which everyone is entitled to and this branch in particular make it unbelievably easy to use. I am extremely grateful that I live nearby this branch and it's by far the best I've used in the city. Thank you guys!

I cannot believe there have been negative reviews on this business. I have been using this post office for 8 years. I use it 4-5 times a week for my small business for postage and stationary supplies. The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the post office services, the drop and go service is brilliant. The stock they have is incredible they always have what I want even play doh for my Grandson. A great family run business an asset to our community.

Amit and his team go above and beyond, every time to be helpful, friendly and polite. I love this post office; it keeps our neighbourhood alive with useful bits and pieces to buy and the post office counter is outstanding.

There were eight people in the queue before me. A man came in and walked straight to the shop counter and was able to use the post office facility at the til ahead of all of the people waiting in the post office queue. When other people wanted to do the same in order to shorten the post office queue, they were refused and told to wait. I experienced a really selective service and I will not use this post office again.

This is a FANTASTIC post office. I have been running a mail order business for the past 20 years in London and in Hove and I have dealt with a LOT of post offices - this one is way ahead of others in terms of friendliness, care of service along with a fantastically organised shop. A family run business that are a wonderful hub to this area of Hove. 5 STARS - totally recommended...

Hi on many occasions I've (tried ) to use the (post Office ) with great disappointment .
I would like to know in the owners eyes what post office means ?
1. I go into shop leading up to Christmas and it's clear they are busy!!
So as a POST OFFICE. With a post office counter and shop counter I was told to Que up for a 1st class stamp rather than supply a stamp from shop counter whilst getting a bottle of water .
This is not the first time as a shop past shop owner I popped in to get some change and refused me too!!
I spoke to another shop owner who sends parcels off in large numbers and says they said to him they could not drop and go and told him.it would be done next day, they go elsewhere now!!
So my question to the management what are you? A post office or a paper shop ?
You seem to have two businesses that cannot. Operate in together and neither very well!!
1st thing I would do is sell stamps behind the sweet counter as majority don't want to Que for a stamp or stamps .
I walked out and I missed last post so I did not get my cards to my family on time .
.thank you very much and this has left a memory that I will not forget and I live only a street away and now I will advise others to go to portslafe post office who do all the above very well .

Really getting tired of the constant attempts to upsell the postal service. Especially when I have already asked for a specific class-to ignore what I say and price up for a special delivery is taking the p. Offering options is one thing but be honest with the cheaper solutions too!

I've used this post office quite a lot and the people that work here are very polite. Customers should understand that ok it is up to the post office worker to ask questions about your parcels and what you're sending, if you send restricted or prohibited items and especially international mail which is loaded onto airplanes they WILL return to you as undeliveralble and you WILL NOT be refunded your postage costs, so maybe it is better that the post office asks new customers what they are sending, they don't do it with me anymore as I have been sending daily for about 15 years now and they know I know the rules...

I really hate going to this post office despite living 2 minute walk from them. Every time you go to send a letter or parcel they ALWAYS entice you to go for the more expensive service by saying that the service you are choosing doesn't get to destination in the time suggested by Royal Mail, for the parcel/letter to get to its destination within the time advertised you have pay for the more expensive service such as Special Delivery, which of course costs 3 times more.
Also when you post a parcel they ALWAYS ask you what are the contents of the package. A while ago new regulation came about that says you have to declare some items when posting a parcel, and that is fine, but specifically asking What are you sending? or What are the contents of the package? To me is completely wrong, if they are just interest to know if the package contains the declarable items, then they should ask, Are any of these XXXXX items included in the package?
Many times I've seen people feeling very uncomfortable saying what are they sending, and quite frankly I find this question completely out of order and invasive, what I send is my own business as long as I declare the declarable items.

A simple task of posting a letter turns into a interrogation. I got quite frustrated as the person serving was very patronising and over stepped the mark. When you put something on a scale you don't need to be asked indepth questions about what you are sending and why. In the end I had to be blunt which I dont like because it made me feel like I was being unreasonable.
