Went in to trade to xbox series x. THE Staff was hugely polite and explained the situation that due to shortage of cash in till they can offer me a bank transfer.
The tester in charge was really efficient and tested everything within the allocated 1 hour time frame.
I like the fact that they don't add random extra time on top of tests and they are quite forthcoming.
Never had any issues trading here and it's always worth the trip from Hackney to come and trade.

Not my real name since this could put my job in danger.
So I'm a current employee at CeX and I have to say this place has a great potential. but the Management has a knack of absolutely disgracing their employees and customers. We have been TOLD to refuse large buys such as desktop PCs only because it is a PAIN TO PACK AND SEND TO ONLINE CUSTOMERS. In addition things other CeXs take the blatantly refuse saying 'we can't take it' just because they want to.
Their ops manager as well as the franchise owner needs to know this ASAP, if they wish to remain competitive. I have worked at other CeXs but never have I seen a staff so incompetent and unwilling to take responsibility with useless standards of customer service.

I tried to return an online order delivered broken. The web site clearly states faulty online orders can be returned in any store. The store manager refused to take mine, saying I must contact the head office. Rude and careless, customer service at its worst. Beware of Cex, employ very careless people, as shown in my experience by receiving a broken headphone and, in the past, a completely different item. Both online and in store my experience was abysmal and wish them all the worst.

Staff are nice here but they do slack off abit with some just having a conversation and laughing amongst each other, not that I don't want the lovely staff to not feel relaxed or comfortable but work first then play. Items are good and the store is a nice size.

Was looking for a PS2 Game, GT Concept 2002 Tokyo Geneva. The website stated one was in stock, I wasn't able to find it so asked a member of staff to assist me. They proceeded to wipe the stock count off the system and I ended up waiting for a response for 20 minutes before being told by another staff member that the game was not in stock in Stratford, even though it was a few minutes beforehand.
Staff is rude and unwilling to help. Go to another CEX, these guys aren't great.

I have personally only have bad experience from this shop. Product being expensive for second hand items and many of the tech not lasting very long before they break or start showing faults. And the customer service being rubbish. On 2 occasions I have had to have a full argument with the staff and manergers before the will repaire, replace or evan refund you on broken and or faulty product. Or if you do agree to have it repaired it can take months before they evan look at it and will repeatedly tell you to come back next week. I would not recomend this shop for second hand tech or media.

Rubbish customer service, very unhelpful. I took an item to sell at CEX Stratford and they tested my item and said it failed therefore I cannot sell my item to them and get cash even though my item was working just perfectly fine.
I took my item to another CEX in Central London where I live and got my item tested there and My item got passed the testing and I got cash for it. I will never back to CEX Stratford Unhelpful and very bad customer service.
I will just stick CEX in Central London much more helpful and polite.

Worst customer service ever!!! my partner came to sell a Nintendo the employee kept rushing him and not answering simple questions about the price of the product and testing and how everything works. The employee ended up getting annoyed at us for asking so many questions and refused service to my partner. What is even more outrageous is that he refused service to me when I was trying to sell a completely different product ( a graphics tablet) worst cex ever! Never going to any other branches including this one! Save your time and your nerves and avoid these people, the shop across from them provides a much better customer service.

The customer service leaves alot to be desired,queued for 20 minutes before they noticed me,was shocked to discover that dont clean discs when you buy them.The game i bought had four discs,all with varying amounts of scratching,we asked to have them clean, as other CEX stores do and they told us it would be £2 per disc!They thought wiping the discs with a cloth would help,pointless!They also thought we didnt know we was in a 2nd hand shop!

Very cheap electronics that are in excellent conditions. Games, Consoles, Controllers, Phones, Cameras and Laptops all at a good price and in a excellent condition. Staff are great and friendly and always asks you if you need help. They also buy your electronics for a reasonable price however if you have a item in over the standard condition you will get slightly more money than they will originally pay for your item which you are selling. Come here as it is a spectacular store!

One of the few CEX stores I've actually had a pleasant experience in, the staff here deserve much more than they're probably being paid. The prices in CEX aren't the best and although I'm sure they try their best, some of the games I've purchased in the past haven't worked.
